the cover is easy to bypass. just break the plastic and you can get your finger underneath to activate the button. I made an additional steel cover to cover the plastic aswell
thanks for this video I have the same gate..question ;won't the wheels gather dust and so due to the oil and destroy the bearings? also the grease does it gather dust ? thanks
Yes it will, but without oil or grease it will wear down very fast and the gate will move very difficult, that can cause your gate motor, battery and electronics to fail/overheat etc, with my experience is that dust etc just been push out by the gears and the gate wheels never failed due to dirt but it fails when it have no lubrication
Agree with you. If you put grease on the drive gear you will create a grinding paste when dust starts to accumulate on the grease. Rather use a oil spray if you really want to lubricate the drive wheel.
I want to service my system, but lost the manual - looking for appropriate GEAR OIL? ALSO... What lubricant spray did you use for the rollers and roller guide?
You can use any lubricant on the rollers, old car oil or any lub in a spray can. For the gear i use wheel bearing grease, but lubricate it once a month, some guys would say you must run it dry, but I believe in grease to minimize wear,
Hi Wendel, the questions would ask is, how old is your battery? and secondly did the charger in the motor is not damage due to lighting, try a fresh battery first and lubricate the rail wheels and sprocket, I had a case of the power plug was not make contact in the wall socket so the battery run flat, remember the motor does not work on electricity, it run 100% on the battery, the 220 volt is just to charge the battery, if that is all OK you have to call the company that install the motor to reset and re-program it. Good luck

Hi there I have centurion d10 turbo gate motor. So the problem that I experience is that when it has to find end stop 2 , It then counts more metres than those of end stop 1. Can you guys please tell me how to overcome that problem🙏🏼
I must think now since we moved from that house, find the micro switches on the motor that switch the motor of when it is closed, my guess is that needs some WD40 or any electrical cleaner spray, how old is the battery, maybe low voltage can cause that, remember it runs 100% on battery power, the electrics from the house only charge the battery. I know some guy's will differ from me but I had also strange reactions at a point from my motor, when I discovered the gate role very difficult on the rail and cause the motor to stop or re-opens, check if your gate is smooth, if not oil the rollers with Q20, good luck, it might needs a re-program but first check all these points
Mine after switching to manual it just giving me a fright, either I press the remote or itself it can't open.... It makes a sound of rotation in the motor but yet the one that it is attached to the gate is not rotating
Thanks for the comment Philip, for me if you don't service the gate wheels with lubrication, cleaning the rail from dirt etc, the gate motor will work hard and drain the battery and can over heat the motor and electronics. Obvious there is no oil change or filter to replace but in fact it save the motor.
I agree 100% with that Jan, I however did not see you do any of that during your video and you started the video by saying "in this video I will be servicing the gate motor"This is the reason I left the comment.Still a good video for someone who are not familiar with a setup like thatRegards
Thank you for the info. Mine says I must refill gearbox oil, where do I refill?
Good question! I never replaced any oil, I don't think it have a gearbox, just grease the gears that you can see
@@jankotze1959 thank you soo much
Thorough lube job, friend. 👌🏻

Dankie Kobus, 👌🏻

Great idea, I have only the factory steel frame to help prevent to steel the motor for what it is worth,

What makes a D5 Evo to switch off and on again when setting limits, it blackout when hitting the open endstop

Could use a few of those gates around the farm
That will be convenient Mac, why wait, do it, open it from the tractor, it will be cool, thanks for the view
Thanks it really helped
You're welcome!
Hi Jan our motor is not opening since the heavy rain. The panel says org right/org left - what does it mean and how do I reset this?

Solly I can not help with this, rather contact the providers, they are on internet, sorry my friend
Well explanation
Thanks and welcome my friend
We have the same motor. Now the gate will reopen when it reaches the closing position. The status light is on red. How to fix it, please.

@@jankotze1959 Thank you so much for your advice. Will try and see if it works.
that is a very stout built gate setup, it looks pretty burglar proof.
Yes I made it sort of steel proof, it works wonderful, no problems at all, thanks for the comment
Mine after switching to manual it just giving me a fright, either I press the remote or itself it can't open.... It makes a sound of rotation in the motor but yet the one that it is attached to the gate is not rotating
That is normal my friend, you need to turn the knob anti-clockwise to engauge the gear, nothing wrong with the machine
How do you reprogram your remote to your gate?
Will not be able to explain in a comment, to many steps in the software, contact your provider.
You did not service anything?
