I loved their chemistry in Mosquito Coast. It was like they did movies together so they could flirt with each other on screen. The thing that took me off guard was when she told him "I think about you when I go to the bathroom." At the time I had no idea they were a real life couple. So I thought that was merely some fucked up shit she said in a movie. Then I looked up they were dating around the time this movie was being made and I wonder if River's reaction was unscripted. He had the most epic "WTF" yet interested face.

this is just my opinion and i’m not looking for a whole ass argument but i strongly believe that river was the love of her life and she was his as there is a rumour that rain even said she believes that martha is the love of river's life and i believe it 🥺. and the fact that he was still heartbroken over losing her, also, just that she still loved him in remaining his close friend.
Well, she left him when he needed her most...so, yeah, that the "love of her life" for ya...plus, Riv was madly in love with Samantha from the moment he saw her...

Besides, she was neither his mother nor a counselor and River needed professional help. Plus, she was still there for him as a friend, he went to her for comfort and they still hung out. When River met Samantha, he wasn’t in a relationship with Martha and as colleagues and friend felt and mentioned, he had been more infatuated with Samantha then in love as he had been with Martha. If you think about it and if you were intending to place blame, Samantha didn’t do much to help River either nor helped him that night when he needed it, besides neither of them should be held accountable if you think Martha didn’t help him because it was his own drug abuse and you can’t help someone if they don’t want help themselves. Martha wasn’t going to just slowly watch him kill himself and be expected to just let that happen. Also, as I mentioned, this is strictly my opinion, that’s all and I’m not looking for a whole ass argument about this.

But, everybody has their view of course. I never argue with anybody. I just say it as I see it and as I feel it and everybody is more than welcome to do the same.

I didn't mean nothing by that remark..I always thought they made a really cute couple and imagine all the beautiful babies they could of brought into this world, but Martha was young and apparently not ready. R.I.P. young man.
I agree as they definitely would’ve had beautiful kids and I love them so much together as he was clearly in love with her but unfortunately, the baby that she had aborted wasn’t River’s as they had been broken up for months while also being in new relationships when she had it.
@@LunaLu-00 Oh yeah, I remember seeing that video too. I was so sad but also happy when in one of those research videos, he was calling Martha beautiful. It just hurt because there was mentions of him still remaining in love with Martha and not wanting their relationship to end when she broke up with him. It’s sad how heartbroken he was and despite them being my favourite celebrity couple, I did get why she left him.
