    Awesome video Adam, I'm doing a solo LEJOG next week one year after my 1st solo 100km. I used some of your route and loved your videos of the journey. I also lost my mum two months ago and when I told her I planned to do it she just said why?! Keep up the great content mate.

    Get yourself a US army poncho liner. Its a lightweight blanket that packs down to the size of a bag of crisps.
    And is amazingly warm for what it is. You'll be able to bivi anywhere and stay nice and warm.
    And for the record the milk was traditional put in first to cool the tea as its poured to prevent cracking the fine bone China back in the day

    So ironic: "There's some really sad people"! Up until the snapped chain the lesson on making a proper cup tea was one of the highlights. Keep them coming!

    The substantial nature of fence posts....well worth the admission price alone!! Great fun chaps...

    Good audax ride pal🚴‍♂️ , doing the way of the Rose's soon morecambe to bridlington return , plenty of welsh 5gitis waves to slow 🤤 but no dirt 😃

    I note the classic Watkins clunking bike noise has returned, it would drive me nuts.............................. Perhaps the VanNick has gout? ;-)

      He needs the acid tongue of Hambini! Surely it could be put to right. My $360 aluminium track bike is silent when its 17 stone rider puts on the steam!

    • @adamwatkins
      @adamwatkins  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah get Hambini round to sort it once and for all

    Your welsh is getting better but pronouncing Dolgellau ends in an I (as in me) so Dolgell (I). Crazy ride as usual. Well done as usual. Thanks for sharing as usual

    Glad you are keeping up with the dirt report. As you say the mountain road off the B4518 (from Llanidloes) up to the view point at the summit then down into Machynlleth is mega. Pity you didn't show more of the descent. Not so nice coming up the other way though. There are some pretty mega mountain roads in Wales for riding and descending.
    No Hobnobs this time?
    Have you entered the Bristol-Glasgow-Bristol on weekend of 21st/22nd August 1,600km and 2524m of climbing?

    • @adamwatkins
      @adamwatkins  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have not entered no, sadly will not have the time. I need a mouth mounted GoPro thing for those descents

    As an American I would have no idea if milk goes first. I do know it is an indicator of socioeconomic status. I've never heard the term jimmine in reference to a public toilet, though I have visited a WC. Been to a few public toilets where you might need a defibrillator though!

    • @adamwatkins
      @adamwatkins  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah, jimny is the car, in the carpark 😆

    • @odetocycling
      @odetocycling 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      But actually, now you mention it, there are some similarities between a jimny and a WC
