I do remember one of the biggest things I liked about the game was that they talked about how it would have a wide variety of guns, And how different calibers would do different damage at how they had revolvers in simeautos and all kinds of different weapons and as a Fly arm enthusiast and a huge fan of firearms as a kid that was extremely appealing to me and still is

I remember Game Informer had a magazine at the time which covered this game. I was so stoked for it and remember the trailer appearing on the first Spike TV game awards, I believe it was. And was so bummed when it got canceled after midway closed.
I worked at GameStop when the game informer mag featured this game and it wasn't gonna just be a gta clone. It was gonna be more realistic of what life in the hood is really like... Like the aspect of doing something in a certain mission a certain way would affect the outcome of a mission later on in the game. And that there would be few choices of weapons like you can't just go in the alley in a hood and find an ak. .. and the reason this game got cancelled was because of the screen actors guild at the time ...
I remember playing Snoop in TCLA. Collecting those dog bones was fun back when my attention span was longer. Funny thing is, I used to eat smoked oysters when playing it.
The game would have been cool back then but nothing was touching san andreas back then. That game was a complete masterpiece rockstar hit two undeniable home runs in a row with vice city and San andreas. That was the ultimate time to be a gamer

I remember reading about this a game in an IGN magazine I believe or some gaming magazine and being hype about it. That era of games was so underrated Narc was a quiet masterpiece you had 25 to life and the True crime games. Now everything’s a first person shooter they don’t make great story driven games like they used too
