I was blown away in the first minute. He makes it seem like an easy task and his face remains relaxed. Saved to playlist. Will definitely be seeing more of Pablo Ferràndez!
This music is piece from Heaven! 💘 💘 💘 Dear God thank You for this infinitely beautiful and graceful music! 💘 Thank You for Tchaikovsky and for all his works because each one of them is much more than a masterpiece! 💘 This music makes all the people so happy and joyful! 💘 Dear God thank you for all the composers! They all make our world much more beautiful! 💘 This performance here of the fantastic rococo variations is sublime! 🌼🌸👏 👏 👏
I have heard many interpretations of Rococo over the years and yours is quite different from other cellists with varied speeds. Powerful and extreme technical ability.
I really have an appreciation for condenser microphones. I have a sneaking feeling!! ;) This sounds so live and oerfect though. Like being there. Amazing!
Echt bewundernswert!
Starting about 7:00 until the end of that variation really reminds me of Tchaikovsky's beautifully tragic "Francesca da Rimini." (Specifically the middle section of it.) The first time I heard this piece, it had come on autoplay while I was riding my motorcycle and I couldn't look at the history until I stopped. Saw the composer and knew this was the one I was looking for!
That's why i rather listen to music on streaming, i would love to experience it live, but i can't enjoy the pieces if someone is dying of tuberculosis in the audience.
This is so powerful and orgasmic 😩 I felt every single note. I absolutely love this piece but now I love it even more 😩. When is this going on iTunes 😭? I have totally been transformed.....🕊
Why are they not playing the original score by Tjaikovskij? In stead of the cellist, W. Fitzenhagens old, abused "version". In the comments it says, there are 8 variations. But they play only 7. Fitzenhagen has cut out the 8th intirely.
@@nickdavis965 it seems to me that it would be a good thing to take artistic liberty, considering that music is, at it's core, a way for us to express ourselves. Imo it's a great thing he's so hard to follow
The cellist plays beautifully and powerfully; his body and spirit dances with his instrument as he takes us through the music!

You know the Interpretation is great when it makes you laugh.
A big round of applause for Elim Chan, Pablo Ferrández, and Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra
He's wonderful and handsome.. I would love to have a cello class with him... I live in California.. God bless them. So beautiful...

No gods necessary. This music is wonderfully human.

The amazing clarity with expression from this cellist and orchestra make this live recording exceptional in every way!💚❤️💜
He is thinking to himself "If I get this perfect....you better too!!!" He really enjoys the Cello and music to a different level.

Beautiful Performance 👏 on a Evergreen Melody. Thank you 💓🔷✨🌟
Very nice Stradivari sound
If you guys have ever watched James Bond: The Living Daylights, towards the very end of the movie, this piece, from 19:23 onwards, was featured there.
18:12 by far the best part to the end!
Wonderful conductor!
Excellent
I adore the whole piece, esp Var VII, but my most favourite moment is @20:01 with the flutes (?) come in for that last time.
That portamento at 10:37 😍 just perfect
Splendide !!
Great recording, good job
This is a VERY difficult piece to master! It took me six months to learn with my tutor to be able to play the piece with a youth orchestra.
Wunderbar.....
Really amazing!
Gracias por compartir
Exquisite!
Lindíssimo! Parabéns e muito obrigado.
I first heard this (the finale) in the final scene of the James Bond film The Living Daylights
5:53 🥴🥴😭😭 makes me cry
I really liked this performance but the tie used by the violinist behind Pablo is horrifying me.
Haha i know right
I wish they could have digitized that head.
Timestamp?
concentrate on music !!
20:28 que genio.......
18:11 cmon guys Rotterdam philarmonic and they can't.enter together in tempo. Bravissimo Pablo
"En agosto nos vemos", última novela de Gabriel García Márquez aparece esta obra musical relatada por la protagonista, capítulo tercero❤

Var. 7 was extreme

19:50 ?
The flautist at 11:00 looks like Benedict Cumberbatch’s twin sister 😂😂
Bravo!

totally gagged! this levitates me str8 to sky daddy
Who is the cellist?? I love his feeling.
Pablo Ferrandez
@@Gabrimedde Thank you so much.
the coughs are ridiculous.. so disrespectful for an incredible performance
I was looking for that comment ..it seems an hospital ... So disrespectful
@@alessiobocci7127 Damn people, can they just not die silent? so disrespectful :D

Cant help it , in the Netherlands 80% of the audience are 65+
Someone keeps coughing in the background!!!
This is the terrible disease of Coughing Audiences at Classical Concerts. The thing is dangerous, lethal, arises from ill-breeding and bad manners.🤔😭

It sounds like he's speaking Welsh at the end.
Not me thinking the conductor was Tiffany poon
Yo wassuo guys
for once I actually like Tchaikovsky
Kara Milovy brought me here.
James Bond brought me here :) (A view to a kill)
Beautiful, but he's a hard guy to follow
Especially leading into the 6th variation, he really does take many artistic liberties.
@@nickdavis965 i think thats what makes him stand out

@nick davis From the score, that part is played quasi improvisando, so that might be why he plays that part especially with so many liberties
I honestly hate the people coughing. So obnoxious😣
Counting was horrible during this piece. Especially the seventh variation.
💯, because of poor conducting
@@PrincipalMusic2022 nope my conductor is great I’m just shit
