johannes moser plays the original rococo, and it’s on TH-cam. But every variation is its own separate video.

I think Fitzhagen's version is superior, in my opinion. The piece flows much better this way with the elegant beginning, switching to the C minor section/c major section, then of course the other variations leading to the cadenza...and so on leading to this explosive ending.

I actually wrote an essay comparing the two versions and discussing which piece makes more sense, why fitzenhagen changed it etc, for my first year undergrad. I concluded that Tchaikovsky’s makes much more sense musically.
