The look of these figures with the clean paint jobs (as in not soaked in wash) and the clip on "gimmicks" give me some Toy Biz vibes (but with better articulation and in my preferred scale).
Oh the good old days of the 90s X-men. Back when Iceman wasn't gay and Beast was still a good guy. This figure line looks great. I hope we get a Gambit, Psylocke, and Mystique in this series.
Wish my X-men toys looked like that when I was a kid, would have killed Rouge and Cyclops (but mostly Rouge) who actually looked like there characters.
Jean isn't gonna have the long line in the front like a one piece bikini, now the line will be till the belt, also no more ponytail, her hair will be similar to Marvel girl HoX now, because of that, they choose to remove the Cyclops Trunks as well, they should update Wolverine too with astonishing suit if that's the case, this will create a great link with the upcoming DP3 movie. The figures are really good, Rogue is very nice, even better than some Marvel legends versions.
I hope they do the Invisible Woman on the Epic Hero Series. My Marvel Universe collection uses the one from the old Marvel Legends Showdown series and she is ugly. These new figures' articulation is not as good as the Marvel Universe articulation, but it is acceptable, so I hope they release characters and costumes that are not available yet.
Darn, they keep missing the sweet spot i need to add stuff to my toybiz collection. Really been appreciating how consistent playmates is with the ninja turtles scaling. Much harder with marvel. I can sometimes cheat and buy a tall juggernaut or short wasp but that’s pretty much it.
I know why cyclops underroos are not yellow because this cyclops is from spider man and the X-Men cartoon in that cartoon Cyclops's underroos are not yellow if you don't believe me see for yourself
The optic blast effect is the same piece they used for Superman's Heat Vision on the DC figures.

Funny hoe they are cheaper than the retro 3.75 Kenner inspired figs and at least come with effect pieces

These are great cheaper fun figs ,much more appealing than the kenner retro figs with better face sculpts ,more of these with bigger playsets .

Marvel needs to do 3.75/4 inch figures more often. All those 5 inch figures do nothing but clog shelves and end up in clearance.

They're alright. Nothing too crazy, but definitely a better deal than the Kenner Retro figures.
