Toy Lips takes a look at the brand new X-Men '97 4" Epic hero action figures from Hasbro! He flaps said lips and compares them to their Marvel Universe 3.75" counterparts, as only HE CAN DO! I know, I know... But! I have been into this stuff my whole life. I honestly can't tell you when I started reading comic books. The '92 X-Men animated series dropped when I was eight, and I remember the watching the Fox Kids teasers and being excited, because I already knew what that was. I remember grabbing a new issue of Wolverine off of the spinner racks that predated the cartoon. I got the first issue of the adjectiveless X-Men series from the local comic store! My knowledge well runs deep, and I could not be more thrilled to be here, and share this love with all of you. I've been in the toy game for the last decade, and today marks two years for my TH-cam channel. I really appreciate the love and and support, but dammit I want more! The scariest part about the Sentinels is that they keep popping up and make a heck of an entry . In a Sheet your pants kinda way. I still have nightmares after a sentinel episode. 800 billions on robots and the phones dont work
😆 For sure! They were kind of set up like chumps on the cartoon, but I liked the way the ultimate universe tried to depict them as scary, again. "To an X-Man, a sentinel means death!" And never mind how dark the HoX and PoX stuff got. The machines always win! 😬😬

I've been slowly making my way through it again and I think by season 4 magneto has purple gloves. That show was wild.
I might have to take a closer look at the Marvel Universe figures when I come across them. I don’t think I’ve ever seen them in a thrift store, but I see them in package at cons and such. 🤔 Bro! You’re going to have to try way harder to beat my record for saying yada yada in an action figure review.

And while I for sure want those little figures to be better, I kind of like the clean look of that Storm and Wolverine. Plus of course that sentinel and the jet will do for what they are. 🤙

I like the aesthetic of this X-Men line and hope it continues beyond the first few releases. The 4 inch scale is perfect for vehicles and playsets, so I'm always happy to see that scale in stores.
Not gonna lie, when you did the comparison, it made me remember how awesome the Marvel 4 inch line was. Great articulation and paint.
I have a Marvel universe 4" set up battling the haslab galactus; my kids wanted to play with them so bad so in a way I'm happy and I welcome this scale for kids now. It scales with gi joe and mattel jurassic world and that's basically the scale my kids have their toys at. I ofc would love new stuff on this scale for my set up because it was a bummer when they started the 6" line and it's just too many figs and too little space for them (even though I bought some for nostalgia). But all in all I bought all the epic line for my kids, they love em and the stuff they didn't have I ebayed some of the old toys like magneto and dr doom.
I didn't know about the sentinel, I got the 8" retro ones but I probably get a couple of them so my kids can play w them.
For sure that sounds awesome getting your kids in on the small scale. The 4-in stuff leaves you with so much more room for activities! I see the price dropping as low as 15 bucks on these sentinels sometimes. Cheers! 🤙

It gets worse, my friend! Have you seen the new 4-in Marvel figures? They even have some super limited Star Wars 4 inch now. I bought those for the review, but I don't want to touch them. Vintage collection gives me hope then we can get good Marvel figures like that again. Thanks for being here!

Not as good as the MU Line but at 10 dollars; perfectly enjoyable for me!
They are definitely an improvement over what they were giving us a year ago for 10 buck. At some point they have to see that it's viable to show them love like vintage collection. Thanks for being here 🤘🤘🙏
What i did was swap head of the wolverine the new one put it head on one of the old marvel Universe wolverine to be honest looks good

Dude I was just at target, and they have new Avengers ones. They look worse than ever. And they want freaking 13 bucks! On the end cap I got TVC Krrsantan for like $8.39.
