The new batch of facesculpts from ML are really improving overall. They either got new sculptors or just gave the headsculpts to some of their more skilled sculptors they've already been using. The best examples are redone characters like Wolverine and Gambit in their blue-and-yellow compared to their previous figures. The eyes aren't too wide apart on the heads as the older attempts. Make the overall look of the heads way more accurate and less goofy.

The Jubilee part was kinda heart breaking (because I'm a Jubes fan), but yeah, being objective they could have shown more love for her with a better/new teen body, or at least a new head with a new expression (smilley/angry), or even descent fireworks effects (new Dazzler's would have been good too if they wanted to reuse). But well... I'm excited the get her on this suit anyway with all the figures in these packs. Morph swap was amazing by the way! Thanks, that increased my hype for these!
I know why but If they put gambit on the new DD/SPIDERMAN body I'd be all over this set like Sunday breakfast, still just a beautiful display piece so I'll wait it out and make this a Xmas pick up, thanks for this review Xmanny this was the first review of these figures I've seen and you sold me with the coat on gambit yo, dope AF man
Just got mine today and can't wait to get them out! That story arc was freaking so awesome and it's cool to get them in plastic form. Just need the Starjammers and a few more Imperial Guard characters now! Especially Oracle.
I love the old forge head a lot more as well. I feel like the new one makes forge look younger and I think the skin tone was better on the old one too.
Great video Manny - loved your reaction to Morph near the end. He does look awesome. I hear you about team building, but for me my no. 1 is the Giant Size team - Give me a Green Banshee, a classic Polaris and classic Angel and I'll be happy. After that, what I want most is all the missing figures to complete teams - Destiny, Feral, Wolfsbane, Marrina, Box, Harry Leland, Cypher, Magma, Unus, Lorelei, Raza and Hepzibah. Maybe a Kitty Pryde Sprite and/or Ariel would be cool too. Banshee is my favourite character so I am over the moon to finally get an update.
It is strange that they would have the one peg in Forge's leg. They should have just made it pinless. Hasbro does some odd things sometimes. That Freddie Mercury comment made me actually laugh out loud my guy 😂
@@Xmanny87what I do is use some air dry clay and fill the holes .. it doesn't effect the articulation , then you can just use a silver sharpie over it

I loved these sets to assemble the 275 team in addition to the retro card Wolverine. I would love to see a 3 pack of Multiple Man in his XFactor uniform with the coat being removable. The 3 pack would be 3 figures of Multiple Man and I would definitely buy a couple or three pack as I have the rest of the XFactor team. The Forge from this would double up as he wore the same type of uniform when he became the government liaison after Val Cooper lost the trust of the team.
I don't have any room for these figures but man, That Psylocke head sculpt is beautiful, Gambit's looks better, Wolverine still does look cool as well as the others because the Uncanny X-MEN issue #275 suits all do look badass for this team, Hopefully we get a new comic Gladiator, Alandra, as well as others from Hasbro
We are in desperate need for a classic comic Nick Fury. And I think Forge is worse than Jubilee. The X teams I've wanted to complete is the Jim Lee Blue, Gold, training team, and the giant size X-Men team.
Holy shit man, seeing that Psylocke head a little closer.... WOW! It really does look fantastic!! And I own the Mafex version, but if they put this head on that new Widow body and paint it up classic. OHHH BOY! That is gonna be the definitive version for sure! Amazing.
I never had any issue really with the older Gambit & Psylocke head sculpts, they were fine. Then you get this set and see the new heads and it's night and day. And as amazing as Gambit & Psylocke look both Banshee heads are even better and comfortably in the top 5 best executed head sculpts hasbro's done IMO.

Please do the puff adder wave next ...I have a idea for iron man , how about doing the hall of armor in chronological order , according to their number. Would dearly love to get an X-Men team from the Cockrum/Claremont/Byrne era and/or the Fall of the Mutants run. An OG Psylocke (before the mind swap) would also be nice, but dunno if we'll ever get it since everybody seems to prefer the ninja version more.
I finally got my set of the Gambit, Forge, and Psylock set. I have to say, Gambit Is the best, followed by Psylocke. She's the best Psylocke, and if anyone ever gets the notion . . . repaint the body to look like the 90's Jim Lee and Chris Clairemont X-Men comics, and you'll have the perfect Psylocke. I think the Gambit head would look much better on the '97 Gambit figure. He doesn't look as bad on the first Gambit figure, but I like the '97 figure better, anyways. However, that coat looks awesome on him!!! Hey, just a thought, but now that I've messed with the 275 Gambit, I'm gonna glue his ace card into his fingers, because I've lost it twice already, and had to SCOUR the carpet for it since it keeps falling out, and I'm going to cut out the three cards from the extra hand and glue THEM into the left gripping hand, to pose with while he holds his staff in his right gripping hand.

As for the Gambit head swap, the main problem is the head sits a little high. If it can sit a little lower it would definitely look better. Love the new headsculpt but not a fan of the yellow and blue suit.
You probably already know this but I’d be careful with jubilee’s arms, that kind of resistance seems very similar to some ankles on ML, where some ankles would be extremely tight, you’d be able to move them but run the risk of breaking them as some of mine have. From what I remember, venompool wave Carnage, xemnu wave Red Skull, Infinity Saga iron man mk85, and my Vulcan, all have broken (minus Vulcan but his ankle is close.) Different joint but similar issue, the biceps/shoulders. A lot of mine are super hard to hinge outward. My endgame Thor wave Captain America, Fox magneto, Retro Sandman, etc. all have broken or is close to breaking, it’s not as common as the ankle issues, but still things they need to fix.
The 275 Wolverine will always be my favorite as the vintage 90’s figure (Wolverine 3rd edition) was my first Wolverine figure ever, so I was originally excited when Hasbro announced it. The claws are just the biggest disappointment. If I wasn’t so broke, I’d get another new 97 wolvie and try to match the yellow and paint them to match.
I'm glad to see ONE person celebrating this set. Almost all the reviews had too many complaints. I kinda agree and kinda don't agree with your dislike of the Jubilee figure, but it is what it is. I think the Forge figure is the weakest link, as far as I'm concerned. His face sculpt looks like he's just been "castrated", and has lost the will the live.
I might be in the minority, but I'm not that upset over the leg peg on Forge. My rational is it's a mechanical leg, so the peg is reminiscent of a servo or sprocket. It doesn't ruin the immersion or aesthetics for me. Also, Forge was never the diehard badass of the group so I don't need him to have an angry neutral head sculpt (and even if I did, the only change is honestly in the eyebrows). I still may want to track down that original Forge figure, just to kitbash the leg strap & boots on him. Overall, I love both sets & can't wait to get mine 😎
We could get the Outback Team if they did: Armored Psylocke, Storm (Lightning Bolt), and Shirtless Colossus. If they were feeling generous: Madelyne, Gateway, and screaming head Havok. They could mix up the 6 strategically for 2 three packs.
The tabs would have been fine if they had just put two pieces of fabric on both sides to hide it and make it look the same from front and back. Especially cause the fabric is just sowed into the tabs.
Hasbro ML team did an excellent job from character selection, through design until production. It is unlikely that certain teams may NEVER get completed (read:Inhumans) so to get a complete team within a year is unprecedent. I loved your review, and to compliment this team while keeping in-line with the X-Men's 60th, I would like to see the 5 OG in their yellow and dark blues. It would make a very attractive display (sorry, too soon?) .
Everything is getting more and more expensive, I don't care as long as they keep improving the articulation and the headaculpts, love the Banshee one, gambit and psylock, I just wish they release figures with real fabric, specially gambit and magneto,
This is a great job for Hasbro, in this wave my favourites are Galbit, that new head looks amazing, Psylocke looks very cool, as you mentioned it’s the best Psylocke version. And of course Banshee looks cool can’t wait to have him in his green classic colour though. Didn’t order thos 2 box set because it’s quite an amount for those orders , that’s a financial choice more than wanting to complete a X-men team… 😢. You should buy a second figure and cut the cloth off the first one and then super glue it the back of the cloth then you will have stripes on the front and back

I like how ToyBiz made the females figures FEMININE and high status, like they are drawn in comics. Females are judged on looks and beauty and males on money in society. Hasbro is making their females uglier and uglier when it comes to their looks. Chests smaller or none at all (Omega Sentinel), cleavage covered (when it shouldn't be), no tight clothing or tight clothing on chest like ToyBiz did. It's ridiculous to me. The whole world is going in a sexual direction. We are forced to celebrate a whole month based on others' sexual orientation, Instagram models, Kardashians wearing almost nothing, see through clothing naked women everywhere, yet when it comes to FANTASY and TOYS lets just make it like the 1700s HERP DERP. Because we're dumb nerdy Hasbro that is completely clueless about what's REALLY happening in the real world or just fantasizing moms getting angry at us for making comic accurate figures due to our own anxiety. Instead of reality based thinking (objective) which is that will never ever happen. Moms aren't buying female figures for their boys anyways. I hate hasbro so much for what they are doing to female figures. END rant.

ML runs bigger than Mafex usually. The ML head is really close on the MAFEX.

You should buy a second figure and cut the cloth off the first one and then super glue it the back of the cloth then you will have stripes on the front and back

I like how ToyBiz made the females figures FEMININE and high status, like they are drawn in comics. Females are judged on looks and beauty and males on money in society. Hasbro is making their females uglier and uglier when it comes to their looks. Chests smaller or none at all (Omega Sentinel), cleavage covered (when it shouldn't be), no tight clothing or tight clothing on chest like ToyBiz did. It's ridiculous to me. The whole world is going in a sexual direction. We are forced to celebrate a whole month based on others' sexual orientation, Instagram models, Kardashians wearing almost nothing, see through clothing naked women everywhere, yet when it comes to FANTASY and TOYS lets just make it like the 1700s HERP DERP. Because we're dumb nerdy Hasbro that is completely clueless about what's REALLY happening in the real world or just fantasizing moms getting angry at us for making comic accurate figures due to our own anxiety. Instead of reality based thinking (objective) which is that will never ever happen. Moms aren't buying female figures for their boys anyways. I hate hasbro so much for what they are doing to female figures. END rant.
