Anyway I've had my car about a month and I ONLY needed to use a hair dryer . It came off rather easily and I didn't have residue . Seemed to be vinyl that may have helped. Again thanks for the hair dryer trick

Great video, the only thing i might suggest would be to give the area that you worked on a quick coat of car wax. Particularly if using dish soap and water to remove the glue residue. Dish soap typically has degreaser in it which may remove the wax from the area. So it's a good idea to just at least re-protect that area with a coat of wax.
After using blow dryer to loosen I used my fingers to nudge off the sticker. The residue however I used almond butter and it worked like a charm! Quick and chemical free! If your decal is over your vehicles decal be careful with heat source!
Thanks for the info. I bought my Impala used from a MOPAR/Mazda dealer last year and I find it very annoying to have a Mazda sticker on the trunk lid of my Chevrolet.
I got mine off using hot water with alcohol in it. Spray the sticker and used my fingernail to scrape it off. Then for any remaining glue sprayed area again and wiped with a sponge
Great video! I like the advice to use a blow dryer to loosen the dealer stickers, especially older ones. Is there any reason not to use rubbing alcohol as the solvent to remove those last few bits of glue?

To remove it would have left 2 holes in each fender. By the way, In Massachusetts, when you take the car in to be inspected, they remove the dealer's license frame. It is illegal if any part of the frame covers any part of the plate. .
They would NEVER do that in Australia. Except one place I know that actually has like a tiny badge or something. And there's an exhaust place that used to do it to people's back windows but no longer does.

clean the sticker first, and then heat it up. Press some boxing tape on the sticker especially close to the end of the sticker and pull the tape back. The sticker will come off with the tape

"Back in the day" it wasn't a glued-on decal. They would actually drill holes and mount a metal emblem with the dealer name. In later years, they changed it from metal to plastic, but still drilled holes (usually thru trunk lid)

Next time go to Walmart ordollar general. Get some nail polish remover, has to be 100% acetone. Heat up pull of wipe down and done. All for $1.50.

Acrysol will take the clear coat off your paint. Don't use acrysol on paint! Learned that as a detailed
