dyom races are cool but having to listen to 6 people at once is making it really hard to follow the missions :/

I'm sorry, but this is unwatchable. You can do racing DWOM, but it'd better to mute everyone and leave their scores on screen. Also, that idea of counting objetives is terrible; it's better to keep the score the way it is on regular DWOM'S.
This format isnt it, watching dyom is about the missions themselves. I couldn't give less of a damn who wins the race.
im sorry but dyom is best enjoyed when playing solo because of the stupid missions. Making it a race made it very boring to watch
In this episode an ordinary mission turns into a Joshimuz mission. Mission very similar to "LS Gangs VS SF Gangs !" was seen before in the episode "He wants to f- the Lion King...". Other parts of "The Fast Chronicle" was seen in episodes "Grove: Uh oh..." and "Not skipping any missions". Josh played the mission "Attack On LVPD HQ (FR)" in the "Popping sound" episode

The race to finish one mission format sounds pretty good, otherwise it quickly gets out of sync with everybody else (though then not everyone gets to see all of a potentially good mission)
I wouldn't say dyom races completely suck or anything, seems like a fun chill thing to do every once in a while

Why change a winning formula?
i like the idea of preset missions (for increased quality), though i dont like the idea of other dudes being there talking over the text to speech, cheers, great episode

The only thing unofrtunate is that the Mission Information didn't worked so we had no way to know which mission is which so we can try those ourselves. I hope that this issue will be fixed in the next Runs so we get to enjoy the usual DYOM Experience in this Racing Format

like others here I don't like the race format, we don't care about the performances of other guys we don't even know about and them talking over TTS and talking over each other adds nothing of value, at least if we had their POV like in a best of, it could be fun maybe but like this format I don't see the point, anyway if you want to keep doing it because it's fun for you and your friends it's fine but don't use objectives as points for the obvious reasons shown in this video, use missions passed, with the common deal to not skip cutscenes.

DYOM quality continues to freefall.
Josh, start picking up interesting parts of True100%+ and re-upload them as TH-cam shorts. Clips of getting Royal Flush or getting Hydra into Los Santos police "garage" will certainly help you more with sub count and viewership than "DYOM, but its race this time".
As much as i hate the short form content, its probably the best way for you to start getting more people to watch you.
josh has temporarily stopped true 100%+ why promote a series that is currently on pause i strongly disagree with this idea
Previous one where he was eating and not paying attention to gameplay for 90% of episode was also garbage. Sadly it happens often as creators get bigger and richer, they just don't care about quality anymore.
@@Voskos Its not about promoting true100%+, thats forgotten and dead. Some parts of it can be repurposed as short form content cause they are basically gimmicks people dont normally do.

Perhaps for races you should be allowed to skip cutscenes, and maybe make it so you can skip missions for free, so it doesn't happen that someone just sits on a score. You could also make it so it is a "first to n" type of thing, where the mission skips doesn't matter, instead the first to pass a certain number of missions wins, with maybe a maximum time of 70 minutes or something like that, just so that we don't go for too long.

1 mission should count as 1 point just like normal dwom. Long mission skip is skill that should be encouraged. It's also more entertaining for long missions to be skipped

I think finishing a mission should give, let's say, 20 points. That way you're incentivized to play through missions that don't have many objectives.

Only still on the cutscene mission at the time of comment but uhhh i dont see the everyone talking over each as bad as everyone else does ( at least not the humans in the VC ) but yeah this format probably shouldn't have the TTS

I think an okay format could be like in racing games. Say you finish the first mission you get 2 points, then everybody else gets like 30 seconds to finish for 1 point or dnf. Though kinda bad with larger skill gaps. I think the current with mission objectives could work if you also get a bonus for completing a mission, like 25 points or something, so there is still some actual strategy on top of just pure skill without just skipping non-cutscene missions.
Also also, if you keep the current way it works, making the total amount of objectives in the missions known and how many remain could add even more strategy. Since you already know in the normal dyom case that 1 mission skip is -1 point, being more transparent with objective based scoring could be better.

Idea for any DYOM (race or normal)
allow like a couple of cheats (like hesoyam or jumpjet) per 1 hour but you can only use them once: you'd have to be tactical when to use them to gain the most time

I played the mission pack that the first mission belongs to. Not entirely, but up until like mission 13 or 14, iirc. Good shit, not great for DYOM speedruns.
Tbf the america bandana wearing model had the most accurate skintone as Josh out of all the ingame models.

It looks like the rifle hit animation, you can see it when you steal the combine harvester for Truth, it you're hit by the enemies. That animation ontop of the running animation causes that.

Annoyed that I put off finishing this because all the comments made it seem like everyone speaking would make it unwatchable. No idea what anyone is taking about there are tons of moments where the others don’t even say a word. For context, I flicked between watching this on TV and on my mobile (whilst on the toilet - crucial detail), so it’s not a sound issue.
Not calling everyone liars as I’m in the minority here but, yeah, if anyone is reading this worrying that this is going to be overwhelming, it’s not and there are some really good missions this ep 👍

This was fantastic.
I imagine this is an opinion that will get ignored/unheard but I might as well state my opinion on the matter as a viewer. I really dislike the use of AI voices of different GTA characters in DYOM. I will not watch DYOM as long as they are being used as it feels rather scummy, and I'm not gonna lie I don't think they are a good fit either. I can't say I enjoyed them at all.
With the TikTok voices, while still AI, at least I could see it as being "messing with major companies that are stealing our data", as you're just using their public facing API for free (which to my understanding is their screwup that it's public facing in the first place). I found that to be an acceptable enough excuse for AI, but honestly the earlier text to speech was more than fine imo.
Maybe this is somewhat hypocritical of me, being okay with one use of AI, but not the other. I just feel like is especially bad when (if I understood right) someone from the community creates AI voices of various GTA characters specifically for use in DYOM and we all just accept it's okay to use their likeness like this. I know TikTok's voices probably have someone's likeness behind them too. But at least with that the source was (presumably) legally acquired by TikTok themselves, you're just abusing the fact TikTok screwed up and let you use something you really shouldn't be able to. That's on them to fix. The GTA characters voices on the other hand feel very morally wrong to me at least. And I'm kind of baffled you didn't see an issue with them.
