As far as looks go, Minnie Driver is gorgeous. But isn't it wonderful to find that the her truest beauty is inside her soul and it just pours out through her glowing smile.
Her looks were just right for that role.. The reason that movie works is because they feel like real people. She was just the right amount of attractive to fall in love with, but if you put a model-looking girl in that role, it would have spoiled the realism.

Went to see her sing at the Hotel Cafe in Hollywood about 15 years ago. She was phenomenal. Afterward she hung around and talked to fans. She was absolutely present and kind and appreciative of those of us who were there.
That "tell me you don't love me" "what are you so afraid of" dorm room scene in Good Will Hunting should have been enough for the Oscar that year.
I just watched Good Will Hunting (yeah, I know, a bit late) and immediately opened TH-cam to watch some interviews of her because I think she's stunningly beautiful. But apparently people think otherwise, I'm really surprised at this hahah.

I was a fan of Minnie Driver, and then I wasn't, and now I understand more about her; again a fan. That last part about playing a mother of a stillborn infant was heart wrenching, as was the story about people with that experience coming to the rescue of the movie.
You were beautiful then and beautiful now. Just watching Grosse Pointe Blank that was a great piece of art.

I loved Mini in Good Will Hunting, but my favorite is her Opposite David Duchovny in Return To Me, it may be considered a Chick Flick, but I watch it every time it is on. Great Cast and a real feel good movie, it has its moments of romance, moments of HEARTBREAK, and hilarious moments as well.

It’s was one of my Dad’s favorite movies and I thought she was great in that also. She actually sang a few songs in it and I thought she sings really well before knowing she is a singer. Love the entire cast in it especially Carroll O’Connor and Robert Loggia.
I just watched Return To Me here on TH-cam, and I agree it is a wonderful movie, and I'm not a romcom or chick movie type, but I have recently became a Minnie Driver fan so I watched it for her, but fell in love with the whole movie! It was sad for two reasons for me, the story and the fact that Carroll O'Connor and Robert Loggia have passed away since!

Ms. Driver isn't just beautiful, she displays a lot of class here. Be sure to catch her version of "Learn To Be Lonely"---the last song on the 'Phantom of the Opera' film soundtrack. Others (Beyoncé, et al) have sung it nicely but not with the lovely ethereal quality Driver gives it.

I think Minnie Driver has a good heart and good intentions, but I found two things at odds with her statements: a multi millionaire actress saying she cares about parents with stillborn babies but yet taking money from them to get their story out seems disingenuous. Also, not everything about life can be fun or just leave. Things happen because people work hard and do things that hey are not always thrilled by. It is a privileged statement to say fun or leave. Someone has to clean the toilet in her Ritz hotel room. Having said all this she is a beautiful, talented, and warm human being. I wish her the best.
I see much similarity to Amy Winehouse. The look and the facial expression sometimes. Anyone else noticed that?

Money talks... her dad was a multi millionare...
Money may talk in certain circles but that's not her story she lived in poverty for more than half of her child hood as she lived predominantly with her mother who was not wealthy. Her dad was working class and worked hard to make his millions. She moved to Uruguay and lived on approx. $4 a day for a year where she didn't get a single job because that's what she could afford from the small acting jobs she received.It's not everyone who has money in their family takes advantage of that.
