So to those who still think there’s a chance he’s innocent, I can tell you from experience, while not murder, but finding my daughter dead, and holding her in my arms, exactly a loving parents reaction. I ran to the telephone and called the police station (because this was before 911 existed) and then after calling for an ambulance I ran out front to my porch and held her in my arms trying to do CPR until they got there and I didn’t know at the time she was already dead when I found her, the doctors explained it later, but she threw up so I thought she was alive, but the doctors explain to me later that her lungs had already filled up and by me performing CPR, it forced her body to regurgitate that up. I never once thought about having to get that stuff off of me. I never once thought about explaining to the cops when they pulled up anything. it was just get to my baby and take her to the hospital and see if you can keep her alive because I didn’t know she was dead. And even after I got to the hospital And the doctor had to explain to me that they tried for 45 minutes to revive her and it didn’t work. I never once thought about the throw up that was still on me and I never once thought about trying to explain to him how I thought it would happened at all I was in shock wailing like I was dying and couldn’t talk to anybody with a clear mind, and answer any questions for any length of time due to walk we just went through. He’s guilty.

Interesting film plot, but it's been produced already. Therefore you drama queens should see life through the life experience instead of allowing this two-bit elected, and boring SC attorney general delude you. This two-bit bore who unfortunately is the SC Attny General has been the biggest liar. I am imagining that there are some intelligent, prescient members of his team who also don't buy what Mr Waters is selling. How torn and conflicted they must be, especially if they've heard him complain about the convincing, sensible counter-arguments that have been made by the competent Defense experts. I know that I would not want to be one of that Prosecution team who will all have egg on their faces when someday, yrs from now, the truth will be revealed which will acquit Alex Murdaugh of the charges. Being accessory to battering Alex, and remembering his grinding assaults on Alex --when he is still in deep grief over the ghastly, violent loss of his two close loved ones--should be the burden that Waters and his sidekick (that smug arrogant guy with the mop of graying hair sitting behind Waters) bears for the next 10 yrs maybe. Then, when new evidence is discovered, which I have no doubt will happen, the deception and subterfuge surrounding the methods of the Prosecutor's office will be revealed and it will be humiliating to all those who participated on that side of the aisle. My intuition tells me this.

There was possibly another motive that was mentioned. The attorney in the boating accident had given Alex a deadline in January 2020 to get him his financials or he would file charges against Maggie and Paul too on June 7th.
I too believe that he is guilty. He likely would not have been charged without Paul’s Snapchat video forcing his confession to being there within minutes of their murders. I too believe that she was running to where Paul was. “He had planned it out for some time”- per his conversation with his sister-in-law.

This is all just so terribly sad. Such a tragedy for everyone. Nobody deserves that, no matter how flawed they are. Maggie and Paul didn't deserve this. Paul made mistakes in his life but he was drunk and all the group on the boat was drunk. When he wasn't drunk and his personality wasn't changed by alcohol, according to people who knew him, he could be a warm, funny, good person. The point is, his parents let him drink pathologically at that young age, and Alex was never a good father. Paul had money but not much else. The irony is, his life was in reality very sad: no real love, no guidance, no good role models, just money and addiction. And in the end, his father blew his brain out. This is just an unspeakable tragedy.

I found testimony heartbreaking when they described her role as a mother of boys was a challenge due to the guns, hunting, sports and more. Seems the laisse fare of no boundaries, early on lack of respect toward gun handling and safety, cleaning, and locking away.. I think this became a runaway train a busy regularity no different than some kids non stop use of games, x box etc. There was so much of this activity and too much of that has to have numbing effects after a while imo. No one made time to take care and clean their hunting kennels, what other they had. Not looking after their own property, it became the hired help for it all. Cooking, cleaning, errands, all of it. picked up after them. Whether clothes, laundry, dry cleaning, maintenance cooking, clean up on the daily someone else just picked up after their every move. Maybe this Homestead will receive blessings become a wild life refuge preserve. No fishing hunting or the like. Let nature heal organically, a memorial and blessing over this property . Let it heal.
