      Actually it varies depending on the reactivity.. for example , we have 'MgO' then for it 'Na' can be reducing agent as 'Na' is more reactive than 'Mg' but 'Zn' can't be a reducing agent for 'MgO' because 'Zn' is less reactive than Magnesium.

    Co2 will not form
    Co(carbon monoxide) will be formed.

    • @MagnetBrainsEducation
      @MagnetBrainsEducation  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your comment! You are absolutely correct. Carbon monoxide is formed when combustion does not have enough oxygen to form carbon dioxide. We appreciate your keen observation!

    • @shisuiuchiha1629
      @shisuiuchiha1629 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not a mistake , go check out on internet it's just when enough oxygen would be there this reaction will be executed [ the first one is when oxygen isn't enough second one is when oxygen is enough ]; both of them are correct :-
      ZnO+C---->Zn+CO
      2ZnO+C---->2Zn+CO2
