Man I really wish there would have been more content around this game. I had fun playing it but relied a bit too much on luck, I'm just too dumb to figure out strategies like this on my own ^^
@@Creadeyh me too! I keep checking for an endless space 3 release date or something. For figuring out builds...just take a look at the races strengths and then look for technology that builds on top of them
Cravers not spawning is always good I see you learned the real strategy, Hack your enemies and have a strong fleet. Horatio being a beta is hilarious. all the other empires knew you would win
Hacking is unreal good in this game. I always misunderstood how awesome it was. But yeah...horatio was fucking weird this game. Cone head looking motherfucker wanted to kill all Horatio's by trees...or give me his capital on a silver platter
The unfallen are absolutely amazing. They seem so "comfy" and friendly (except when they weren't, and strangled me) My favorite race, aesthetically and lore-wise, are the cravers, however, combat in this game is so hard for me, so playing a combat focused race is a no go for me.
Agreed completely on the unfallen and the points on the combat being harder to understand in this game. I have lost many fleets figuring out how the game makes combat work. It took me a while to understand that the position you take with the tactics card is important to match to your weapons range. If your defense and offense numbers are close to theirs but they misposition, you will get a decisive victory. Once you do that, you want to make sure that , you need to make sure your defenses are matching the type of offense your opponent is using and that you are not outmatched in your defensive strength to their offensive. This includes using enough projectiles to counter missiles as they are the highest DPS in the game and go straight through 70 percent of shield defenses. Finally the last big thing is making sure you have full manpower and more flotilla lanes than the enemy. Full manpower is 20 percent more damage. Each flotilla lanes beyond your enemy gives you a 20 percent damage bonus from morale. Good luck future Warlord!

Since Endless Space 1 my biggest problem was the combat system, but i love both games anyway. I don't know if you played the first game, but there are races that didn't make to the second (at least as playable), such as the Amoeba and Harmony, perhaps you would find interesting in just reading about them (second game is superior to the first).
