  • For more than 50 years, UC Berkeley forestry researchers have used Blodgett Forest Research Station as a living laboratory to study how different land management treatments - including prescribed burning, restoration thinning and timber harvesting - can reduce the risk of severe wildfire and improve a forest’s resilience to the impacts of climate change.

    Please explain why you support salvage logging, removing burned trees called snags? I've read research and seen videos on how the snags and burned forest material is actually providing elements in the soil for regrowth, shelter for wildlife and helps retain moisture in the soil. I've learned that removing all this material is actually harming the forest. I'm hoping to get your response.. Thanks!

    if u are so fearful that BRUSH is the problem then u are saying nature is soooo wrong to be growing brush.think about that for a minute
