Oh thanks again Harli for this video, I agree with the things you said about watering plants and underwatering some of them. I have succulents that I try to not underwater and also Pothos which I have 9 in my home that seem to be doing okay and I have propagated them and gave to some friends and they are doing so good. I also have a huge aloe plant that my friends mom gave me when her aloe had a baby that came off and she said that I could have it and it is double the size when she first gave it to me and it seems very happy. I also love ZZplants and I have the green one and the raven and they both are doing good. I also really love the scindapsus and the Monstera peru both of those are doing great. I also have 2 creeping charlie that are super happy. I am still going to eventually get some more plants that I lost when the mealy bugs killed them. I also love alot of Hoya. Thanks so much Harli and you are looking so beautiful, have a great rest of your week, sending love and hugs, bye!! 😂😊🥰👍🙌👏💕💜💜💜💜
Your Jose beuno is gorgeous. I bought a rough looking one with 2 burnt leaves on the cheap and I’m so glad I did. He got his 1st new leaf for me (Yay!!) and seeing yours gets me super excited for it to get bigger 😍
Pachira aquatica and schefflera have a beautiful structure and they both seem very stressed free. Loved your selection. It highlighted that what a lot of people consider as basic to be beautiful.
Me, too, aglaonema is so easy and pretty with the colours. For sculptural plant I'm also in love with my aspidistra elatior (multiple varieties, love them). The leathery leaves bend and twist but look so elegant. And for bushy plant similar to aglaonena, I also praise my peace lily 🕊️ So forgiving of light conditions but stays green and happy. I still treat it like my other plants and water when the top soil is dry (don't wait till it flops over, really no need).
I had a prison queen that I had to cut back twice n cause all it gave me was white leaves. 6 or 7 one right after the other. I finally cut back behind that last variegated leaf and finally get a true leaf with green and a white border. Yay!
I was actually the same when Philodendron Brasil - so gorgeous and vibrant in photos or video, photogenic 📸 But every time I see them in store, the colours look washed out and unhealthy 🤨 Have seen many over time so that I don't think it's the nurseries. And the Philodendron Micans; thought it was superb. Got a similar coloured green plant with brown undertones on clearance (it must have been a small anthurium or something, not viny) but I didn't have a well lit spot for it so kept it near the TV. Hubby doesn't usually comment on my plants, but complained about the colours non stop, "The colours look like it's already dead; throw it out, if you don't I will etc etc." And once the idea was introduced, I couldn't shake and enjoy it anymore. Was so relieved when the plant bit the dust and the fights and guilt stopped. No micans for me 😅
@@xeniaboutchard6496 if you ever wanna try the micans again- give it light. Mine lives under a grow light and thrives ❤️ I have your same thoughts on the Brazil. Rio though? Oh, how I want one But $$$
The plant I hear you talk about the most? Well - let me show how long I have been watching your channel...syngonium! I have about a dozen different varieties now and I love them. Easy care and always look fabulous! I thank you for peaking my interest about them. Um... my monstera is looking absolutely terrible - and has been for YEARS. I kill those cacti that bloom...sadly. However - flame violets always look fab for me and bloom most of them year. The more light they have - the bigger and more patterned the leaves and the more flowers they produce.
Thank you for being you. I get soooo many ideas from you. My aloe is beautiful but soooooo top heavy. I will be chopping it this weekend and refresh the terracotta pot it's in. The rest I'll bury in the garden and see if it grows. Dauphin Island may only freeze for 1 to 2 days every other year. 😅
Jades are so forgiving. I’ve broke so many stems and it just grows new like crazy. My 2 yo has broke so many I’d have a jade forest if I propped all this cuttings
You’ve absolutely sold me on a jade! I might have to go grab one after my son wakes up from his nap 😂 I love how you notice such small details of your plants ♥️
Thank you Harli, you're videos are always amazing! However I am hurt that no scindapsus varieties made this list, scindapsus pictus Exotica is always a beauty with her silver freckles.
OH, I Wish I'd shown you all my ponytail palm's hair, it's 1,5 m long!!! And yes, curly, but the curles are the most pronounced when the leaves are still short, tgen they relax a bit. Yet the trunk of mine is still a size of a big grapefuit! No "stem" yet) 😊
I love pothos. They grow so fast and anything hanging is my jam. I got 5 cuttings this summer and I’m so excited for them to grow. I just potted them up. Fingers crossed 🤞🏾
I have just about every plant you mentioned. I totally love my ponytail palm too! ...and my monsteras...and my pothos....and my Philodendrons...and my Snake plants.... OK I love them all! 😂
I love my starfish sansevieria! I think you would too! It can get biggish in the fact that the leaves size up and can get long and the way they lay they take horizontal space. Super cute though!
I owned all of those plants through the years. I would add ZZ plant to the list as well. My philodendron burle marx seems to be super easy, fast growing and the leaves are all pristine and always have a natural shine. I didn’t want it at first, was going to take it to the next plant swap, but it’s so beautiful I just can’t part with it. I can’t think of any other plant that has won me over like this one has.
I love my Jose Buono. it went through a phase of putting out huge leaves, but has reverted back to mid-sized leaves recently. It probably needs a repot. The upside of hte smaller leaves is that they are mostly half-moons, and 3/4 variegations. It also puts a new leaf out monthly year round. Any tips on keeping the leaves sizing up?
The leaves can’t size up if they can’t grow according to their natural habitat which is climbing & rooting into something. Large leaves aren’t for everyone, but they are my goal. Once established, you can’t see the moss pole & the watering is so easy!
There’s a sansevieria that I have that’s growth pattern is similar to the cylindrical one but it kinda looks more like little tongues instead of little horns. 😂😂❤
I heard recently that borsigiana is just a term for juvenile. And that all monstera are deliciousa it’s just a matter of the plant maturing. I mean to double check this information because I had also heard otherwise. That one is literally a mini monstera and physically can not mature to the same size as the deliciousa.
What about haworthiopsis? The ones that look like little trees and a little a like an aloe and sansevieria had a baby. They make pups, too, and are extremely forgiving.
I chopped up my monstera because she was growing “ugly” 😅 it quickly grew back and now I have cuttings AND a full monstera plant again. I’m gonna need to give them away really soon. I hold sentimental value because she was my first monstera for 8.99 at Home Depot. But I also don’t want her because it’s the small monstera version (borsigiana). I’ve always dreamt of having a HUGE monstera with giant leaves 😢 and she’s not it. I do, however, now have a cutting of the monstera deliciosa (big form). Who is now fully rooted and I want to replace it with the small form. Decisions, decisions 😭
I’ve got a sanseveria hahni that has already given me two pups that have been repotted in their own pots. Now momma has given me another pup that is the same size as her. Time for a new repot. I need to find some where to sell them. Or give them away
I have an ugly monstera. I separated four that were potted up together from Home Depot. I gave two away and kept the other two. The one that’s ugly has the goofy leaves that are so far apart, just looks weird. The main plant looks great though.
I had a pony tail palm but I started ignoring it as I didn’t like the way it had four pony tails. Not just one. All the leaves go tangled and you couldn’t straighten it out without risking your cuticles.
agree to disagree for pretty much every single philodendron and scraggly monstera lol. for me, philodendrons will just throw out tiny or ugly leaves every now and again when they're unhappy with something (which is quite often, considering they're in my house, not in a rainforest). personally, I find the most low-maintenance beautiful plants are hoya and succulents. they are slow growing for the most part, but very resilient to pests and pest damage, which is why they continue to look pretty without me having to chop it down and regrow it. my fav is the epiphyllum anguliger (ric rac cactus) - it grows super fast and looks ScULpTuRaL hahaha no but really, gorgeous little thing :)

I agree Harli, Jose Buono is a gorgeous plant and strong grower year round 😀🇨🇦
Hi Harli, love all of your plants that you showcased today! I personally love Alglaonema, they have been super tolerant of my under watering.
I love Aglaonema too. I have three and can’t more. Such an elegant plant.
