Hey Big Brother. I was Army Long Range Surveillance. We received great training from the Regiment to be more efficient at our jobs. Did missions with the 19th and 20th SF, Marine Recon and SAS to name a few. Thank you for the top notch training. We were the better for it! And since we live by the Ranger code,...Rangers Lead The Way!!!

I used this quote actually from a former Seal who is now one of the Navy's Top Commanders. He came to our Award Ceremony and gave a speech. The words in quotation marks are his words. And he said them to be funny. Not to say we are better, or they are better. It comes down to knowing that at the end of the day, those words don't mean shit because we are Americans fighting on the same Team

Do Rangers conduct missions with Seal's,Delta and Green beret's?

Look at all these SEALS coming to watch a video about Rangers. I guess the saying is true....
"God created Army Rangers so the Navy Seals would have someone to look up to."
On a serious note....The Seals are my brothers, I'll come pull you out of the Shit anytime anywhere. "RLTW!"

@airsoftandmilitary Comparing a Navy SEAL to a Ranger or Green Beret is like comparing an M-16 to a Shotgun. Both are incredibly effective but are used for different purposes. I always hated the old argument, "Who is the better SF group?" It doesn't matter cuz we need em all. SEALS, Rangers, Marine Recons, PJs, Green Berets all kick ass and are the best of the best. Im glad they are on our side and God bless each and every one of em!

That's comical. Army SOF has led the way into both Iraq and Afghanistan.
    - 5th SFG and CIA were in Afgh before even Rangers and Delta
    - Delta and Rangers were on the ground in October 2001 Afghanistan
    - DEVGRU didnt arrive until December '01. And the regular SEALs with TF K-Bar (which was an ate up operation) were late in the game as well.
Nobody has ever called the SEALs in first for anything other then specific maritime missions. But full on conflicts? nope

I was working in knoxville on gsa contract on 9/11. when the 278th acr got activated and sent to iraq in 04 I still remmber the guy asking rumfield why they had to scavenge shot up armor off HMMWV.

@USMCplusMETAL No ranger school is open to officers and enlisted alike you can go to ranger school as a pfc ranger school is a leadership coarse that teaches small unit patrolling techniques but more that that it teaches its student how to plan and lead these patrolls officer canadate school however requires at least 60 hours of college. you can get a direct commission during time of war by demenstrating leadership ability

@sass225 I got stop-lossed and it was the most depressed I had ever been in my life. The worst part is not getting treated like an NCO and being passed over for promotion. I watched 3 guys make SSG and I was stuck as SGT. I made SGT and was leading troops before ALL 3 even joined the Army. Two of them got DUIs when we got back and got demoted back to SGT. The other SSG (who had been my responsibility since he was a PFC) turned out to be a good leader and I was really glad he was my boss.

@mikefan09 the rangers deploy for 90days at a time a marine deploys for 12-15months at a time so a ranger with 4 deployments would have a year in combat zone and a marine with only one deployment could have just as much time in country

If, being involved with traditional military in US: Army Ranger unit could be for me, if they would have excepted me as I am. Their test is harder than SAS one(first start test). For good reason: keep our nation safe and keep tallented individuals in right spot for future special operartion actions. I am glad that Rangers will except re-take tests and some of those canditates , who previously lost their test spot can become respected Rangers in the future and lead the big way like before!!!

they train in CSAR as well and are time attached to other units that are more combat related. I am guessing your basing your info off inside combat rescue. Playing EMS is just one type of their mission profile. Even then, those missions can get dangerous. If my memory serves me right...they were some fighting during operation anaconda, a few were attached for the rescue of Jessica Lynch, and PJs fought to get the bodies of the fallen SEALs of operation redwing. Rescuing is apart of a PJ' job.

  • @sass225
    @sass225 12 ปีที่แล้ว

@discofishing they put stop loss on mps in 02. you can get sme great training in the military and the military life is wonderful for a single man but its a special woman indeed that can be a military wife cause her husbands already married to his job. at 26 I got married and gave up military carrer its hard enough on a woman being a cops wife let alone having to go 6 mounths to a year with her man not coming home lost my first marrage anyway

Once I made it know I didn't give a fuck, I got away with all sorts of things. Those things being, taking care of the troops and getting the job done and keeping stupid senior NCOs and 2LTs out of our business.

@xUSMCArmyBratx dont know were you get 75% it might be that high for some classes but overall i dont believe its more than 60% average because before you can even attend ranger school you have already passed ait and jump school. but you know something even thouse who dont finish the coarse have nothing to be ashamed off and they learn from the experiance.

If you do good at RASP and don't just survive it you will pass, listen to what the instructors tell you and just don't fuck up. Out of about 60-70 soldiers who survive RASP 20 of them get rolled back for poor performance or get dropped during or after the course, so you don't actually know if you will pass or not. I too want to become a Ranger but if you pass that you will become a member of the 75th, hard part is to stay in... Atleast that is what I heard.

Why does every video turn into a debate about Rangers and SEALs? Suddenly everyone goes on a Wiki article about them and knows EVERYTHING about them and what they do. The fact is they work together to accomplish missions--it's that simple. And that's what the armed forces is based around--teamwork. It's not a dick size contest, so don't embarrass them by trying to compare them. They are all experts and professionals!
