#AustinMills Thursday! Keep up the great work A! Love your video's, especially shooting competitions & drills. You're a long-range sniper, and it motivates me to keep working on my shot ;)
This content is very underrated, 3 great shooting games, quick dive into the mentality of 2 knockdown shooters, great competition I definitely learned a lot. Do more of these if you can A
Great video Austin! you guys are snipers! Also super interesting to see the shot form difference between you and Colbe. Colbe's load up is slower with a slight pause before the release, while yours is a one motion shot. All elite shooters have one thing in common: Consistency. Every shot looks like the last one
Set shot with minimal jumping and movement before and after shots (Coble) vs a shooting with a whole lot of back to forward movement before and after shots (Mills). Shooting like Mills does in a contest will usually make you get fatigued faster; Coble also has the advantage of being taller and doesn't have a lot of arm movement on his shot, it's more flick than throw.
Ok but to be fair he has to do that since he’s not as tall and his arms aren’t as long. If he was the same size as coble he’d prolly shoot the same way
@@randellelinner6290 Naw, you just have to shoot differently. If you look at the 3pt shootout, you'll see that certain guys shoot differently and those with a set shot usually have better results.
@@Philosophisticated That's a difference born of necessity. If you don't have the strength to put up a set shot from 3, which most people don't, you're gunna have to add power with your legs, otherwise you'd have to change your form which is inconsistent. That's funny that the coach has a little hitch to his shot...but at the end of the day, he's the coach, so he's got to know something that the players need.

Ah man, why did you have to give the tendinitis excuse? If you shoot or hoop a lot you've got some kind of soreness, pain or injury. I got patellar tendinitis now and some guys asked me to play 21 even though I just went out there to shoot. I still cooked them but if I would've got beat I would've told dudes I'm injured. I use to be shoot anywhere better than there guys for sure but can't now cause very little cartridge in right knee I can't bend to shoot proper to much pain so that's why knees can def effect your shooting
Hey I realize this is a late comment, but Austin if you could help me with tips to treat my elbow as well. I didn’t realize you have a hurt elbow too, and am trying to balance healing and playing.
Dude you should stop calling your shots. It only looks cool when they go in. Lost count of how many times they didn't ^^ Anyway the talking is a bit annoying but props for great shooting from both.
for a shooting coach, his shooting form is a bit... slow. imagine this form in the nba. he would get blocked all the time. but he's probably not teaching form, but other things, i guess.
The best 3 point shooter I've ever seen was Bruce Martin, who works for NC A&T, but played for Clemson at the time. He would just shoot three pointers in practice like they were free throws. I literally never saw him miss. He was injured and rarely played, and of course in game conditions are different. But he was pretty amazing.
Too much of a push shot. No legs. You can tell when you are getting tired it starts to expose your mechanics and fundamentals. You probably had the same shooting form your whole life. You complain too much but other than that you are a Great underdog and I enjoy rooting for you and for the record you would never beat me in a shooting contest. But Oh hey he went to Northwestern? Them Barnhizers are some shooters, especially the father, get him on your show please. Oh and yes he does resemble Dirk Nowitszki his rookie year.
Should I drop this new King of the Court Thursday or Friday???

FACTS. Austin's shot looks a lot better, but Colbe's I think is a more consistent shot in a game.

i love 3 point content from you. Such an elite shooter. also your crew league team is stacked- yall should win that.
That’s what I call the extreme 3 point shooting work out, until you feel your arm starts aching
Austin is a Human?: D
That Coach has a bit of odd shooting motion but apparently that works for him :D
Ya strange he's shooting coach, his shoot looks like bad knees cause be tough get that shot off on somepne
