After finishing this you might want to check out Psychoville which is the series Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith did between this and Inside No. 9.
If she ever watches Pshychoville, she's going to *love* it. Also, watching it will give her much more context to appreciate "Death be not proud" from IN9 (the one with David and Maureen)
Fantastically dark and macabre TV, 3 brilliant actors (4 if you included Jeremy Dyson) who created a superb set of characters, a horror and comedy mix that's not for everyone and demands close watching to catch all the little Easter eggs

There is also a British film made in the 60's of the same name which is well worth a watch. It's a sort of comedy crime/heist affair featuring many of the best actors of the time.
Iirc, this comedy was named after that film. Not sure where Alan Moore got the name for his comic book / graphic novel, which was then adapted into the movie Megan liked.
It was a classic Ealing comedy but like all the best Brit comedy there was a more recent less successful American remake which starred Tom Hanks if I remember correctly !
This is peak dark/funny!
Today? It could never be repeated or bettered.

The 3rd ( on screen ) member you saw, was Mark Gattis who co-wrote and starred in Sherlock. The show is always viewed as dark comedy, but it goes further than that with the dark elements being genuinely sinister and the comedy at times being slapstick --- a strange but brilliant combination.
I like the darker comedy of the LEague. Its also another example of great UK sketch comedy that toured as a stage show (just like the Fast Show & Little Britain ). The League also got a movie made as well.

Megan theres three of them some great characters, dark just like inside no 9,without spoiler alerts some more wonderful lines & characters, hillary the butcher, creme brulee,"WE ARE PUTTING THE BAND BACK TOGETHER "it will bring tears to yours eyes,hello dave!,there's a hilarious bit in the woods,it will have you on the edge of your seat,no more spoilers watch them all..

I actually used to live in Royston Vasey........... Hadfield in Derbyshire, I still remember when they closed the main road to film, loved the show and every series

It took me longer than I care to mention to work out that the reason the shopkeepers have the same nose is because, as well as being partners (maybe married), they are also brother and sister. I think.

It’s important to note that The League of Gentlemen is a trio. Mark Gatiss was also involved.
The three of them are true chameleons, though. The range of characters they each play is phenomenal!

There's also a film of 'The League of Gentleman' - based on this. AND a film called 'The League of Gentleman' from much further back that has nothing to do with it. It's one of those titles that keeps coming up.

Good well crafted dark humour
The reason it reminds you of Fat Fighters in Little Britain is that much of that series was (ripped off) sorry- inspired- by the League of Gentlemen that came out a decade earlier.
As true as it's sad. And what they didn't rip off from TLoG, they ripped off from The Catherine Tate Show 💀

I wouldn't call The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen a great film but I have always liked it too.

TV version of the original radio series, Royston Vasey is the real name of comedian Roy 'Chubby' Brown. Get ready for very dark humour and a ton of TV/movie references. Mark Gatiss co wrote Sherlock & also writes for Doctor Who as well as appearing in it.
Psychoville by the same group of actors/writers is similar and just as good.

No word of a lie, I was typing out a comment about how. Miss Megan should watch “Inside No. 9” and THEN Miss Megan mentioned she already watched it so I had to delete it and write this comment instead! 😂 Incidentally, Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith are doing a stage show of Inside No. 9 called “Stage Fright”. Guess who got tickets to the opening night…? 😏 EDIT: Just saw the end of this video and saw Miss Megan mention that she had tickets, too. Guess who feels like a twat now?😂
The BBC has a total ban on mainly white lad casting in any show now so imagine Trudeau in charge of casting....although ironically one character in the series does black face....mixed feelings about that as it sort of demonstrates that every group gets to be butt of a joke but I guess it depends who can take it.

Wonder if said Canadianne has seen the similarly absurdist Twitch City (CBC) which precedes this show chronologically? If not it would be so perfectly Canadian. Ignore the artistic achievements of the homeland in favour of those of little brother Empire (not to mention Big Brother Empire. To paraphrase Oliver: Can we get more censorship?
You mention the 2 of them and yet leave out Mark Gatiss ( who played the hiker in the village store at the start ) Mark Gatiss has produced many horror dramas based on the writing of M.R.James, for the BBC. Really creepy! I have a few of them on my YT channel. Number 13 is one of them, and I did have 'The Tractate Middoth' And the village name of Royston Vasey is actually the real name of northern comedian Roy Chubby Brown, whose act will really shock you..... if you have the courage to watch any on You Tube of course! Unless you are chicken Megan? 🤪🥰😂
Funny show but dark at times
Lose the flash effect from your edited. Just some advice take it or leave it but if i was thinking of patreon or whatever, that effect would put me right off, its not required at all. Your reactions are great using techniques like that one can olnly assume desperation or desire or demand that one should pay money for no more sickly flashes in the video. You dont need that. stop it.
