I have a G90 with only 16k miles on it. I took it into Corona Genesis because it was missing so severely and loading up (too much gas to air). They found one of the Fuel Injectors was bad, so they replaced that spark plug and fuel injector under warranty. Picked the car up and drove to a meeting in Long Beach, 60 miles away, and the car started missing again with the same symptoms and basically got stuck in Long Beach. They picked the car up and gave me a loaner. They found the oxygen sensor bad and replaced all the plugs...I'm waiting to get the car back. 16k miles, I have lost confidence in the brand as I have to travel on business sometimes off of Interstate 5, where I am certain there are no Genesis dealers. Selling it buy a Ford or Chev. Changing plugs at 16k miles, REALLY...

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is the standard of the full size luxury car segment. There is no comparison between this Genesis G90 and a Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

My 2020 Hyundai sonata limited can drive itself with the key as well for a 1/3 of the price dope feature

@@chrxae2320 I wouldn’t say they’re exactly the same car. The Genesis definitely has features that the Hyundai doesn’t like all will drive a better engine more power. More luxury is interior not saying that the Hyundai is bad. I actually really like the interior that I have in mine I have the tan interior so it’s like contrast with the gray actually think it looks really nice, but I definitely don’t agree with the price difference it was like 70 K personally, but that’s just me still an amazing car nonetheless
@@chrxae2320 I can also say confidently I would much rather take this over a BMW normal seven series an Audi A7, and not over the S class, but it is definitely up there

I hope the lower trim levels have options for wood grain instead of carbon fiber being this is a luxury car. Kinda weird choice for them to make imo. I wish they had a lighter color interior choice as well lol. Otherwise, i love this thing.

Yes, there are lighter and darker interiors, just depends on the exterior color.

What do you guys think of the interior color? My elderly family member thinks any photos of this brown interior looks like an old persons car from the 70's. Let me know your opinions
Door handles and shifter to put car in drive both appear to be over engineered and not sure either is an improvement over old style stick shifter or old regular door handles. But those are the only two flaws in design I see in this car.

Now if they would only get the level of service at the dealers up to snuff with other luxury brads...I have disappointed greatly with my local dealership. All they seem to have done is raise pricing

I had two Genesis G90s, and every time I downloaded an over the air update, multiple features in my car stopped working. Every single time Genesis offered an over the air update, it ruined, disabled, deleted, or screwed up many features of the car. The last straw was how it absolutely ruined the Lexicon stereo. I gave them $180,000 of my money and got nothing but crap. In addition, my battery died repeatedly, so I had it towed to the dealer a half a dozen times, thus over and over it left me stranded. My entire car (flagship G90) shook every time I drove it on the highway and the dealership didn’t care. It was absolutely awful. I switched to an Audi and couldn’t be happier. I gave Genesis a LOT of my hard earned money - two flagship Genesis vehicles in a row with a V8 - and both were total garbage. It’s such a disappointment because their cars are gorgeous, but they are total junk. STAY AWAY! Read the forums. EVERYONE is having technological and mechanical gremlins.

@@Mohamed1pt1fI can’t get a Mercedes because they place the gear shifter on the steering column. Absolute, total deal breaker for me. I know it might sound strange, but I just cannot stand that and I won’t drive a car with a gear shifter on the column. It needs to be down on the center console where it belongs.
@@regalgs51 you're right, the gear placement is annoying specially if you're not used to it, but I think it looks more modern and futuristic

Does anybody buy the Genesis G90? I have yet to see one on the streets after all these years. I’m beginning to think that it is made just to use as a press vehicle for car reviews at this point.
I have a 2021 g90 with v8, you are right you don't see these much, I think most people don't even know about them, absolutely awesome car, had mine about a year now bought it used for half the price of new, had only 24k on it and one owner no accidents. Don't buy them new, they depreciate fast but who cares its a way better car than any german equivalent.

@@gedaman I looked at both the sclass and the bmw 7 series. Mercedes probs are super expensive to fix just about anything, odd issues like the radio turns on full blast and the only way to kill the volume is a button on the steering wheel. I did not believe this till I drove one and experienced it. The sclass drives nice but nothing spectacular. The 7 series was a far nicer car and was somewhat exciting to drive too. Bmw probs are things like brakes are 1k to 3k per axle. 5 places an oil filter gasket will go in the engines life no matter what, and each time its 3 to 5k to fix. Compared to the g90, just a fine car to drive, moves when you need it to, tech and comfort are excellent on long dist trips. Reasonable repair $$ for what it is. Good warranty. I had mine about a year now and will trade for a newer one in a few years, just not now.
@@samspade7685 If you can afford these cars then maintenance costs are irrelevant. It’s best to buy a prepaid maintenance plan on any Mercedes or BMW. The feeling of driving the S-Class is just outstanding. I used to work at a Mercedes-Benz dealership and I would always grab the keys to one of the new S-Classes on the lot when I needed to go somewhere. It was pure joy. I wish I still worked there. Longevity in the car dealership world is rare unfortunately.

Man.... does anyone know how long a person will have to pay to pay off 90-100k 😅 basically at $300-$500 payments per month for several years depending on your credit. Naw im good boss. Terrible interior color and stupid twist nob for changing gears. Where's the manuals...🤦♂️
This isn’t a $300-500 a month type of car. Probably closer to 1500 a month for 5 years
There is also a crazy option called paying in cash and buying what you can afford
@MrBeaverOni naw. It doesn't happen that way lol. Not without a 800 credit or above. So the usual is lower in payments with longer years to pay off. So your interest rates are gonna be a bit worse
@@bbiltcliffe Idk how it works in the US but I don't assume paying full is not option. The only other time that I would consider not paying in cash is getting a very low interest rate personal loan and then paying the car in full, because personal loan interests rates tend to be lower and you also take full ownership of your car.

When looking for a new vehicle I was considering a BMW Audi Mercedes as well as a land Rover. I definitely prefer the way Genesis looks and feels inside and if you add the warranty which blows competition out the water(mine has unlimited power train and electronics warranty) the choice is obvious.
…..all my dad’s S-class did was break. It was constantly in the shop. He got rid of it for a Lexus.

@@yejoonyang9552 yes it is a blatant rip off. If you view genesis as a whole the revamp were clear indications of comimg for bentleys designs. One bu hiring their designer. Two by creating that awful gv80 trying to look exactly like a bentayga. The only real genesis original design language you see is on their EV. And that thing is awful!

I’d choose the Cadillac CT6 over this as well as the S-class. Genesis styling is off, too feminine and old man for me.

@@MrGeezil Yes in China they do. It’s better than this Genesis G90 and I’m sure it drives better too. This is a disappointment, it’s a watered down Mercedes.
@@G-Rated buy one and enjoy your CT6 buddy. In USA no one talks about a CT6. It was discontinued a long time ago. This car focused on luxury comfort ride not a sporty ride. Thats what the full size luxury sedan are made for.
@@MrGeezil The CT6 is pure luxury, Cadillacs just drive better than Genesis cars generally. I’ll suggest the same to you, buy one and enjoy your G90, buddy. Nobody talks about _any_ Genesis sedans here in America. Their cheapest sedan G70 has already been discontinued here as well, and the G90 may follow.
@@G-Rated Once Genesis drop their magma line up we can decide which car drives better lol. From what I know most Genesis car focused more on luxury instead of being sporty. Thats why they have their MAGMA line ups in the works. And the G70 served it purpose as a decent sports sedan and definitely it will be replaced with a much powerful car.
