(=Grey Wind) I dreamt such a clangor I thought my head might burst, drums and horns and pipes and screams (=The Red Wedding), but the saddest sound was the little bells (=Catelyn killed Jinglebell). I dreamt of a maid at a feast (=Sansa at the Purple Wedding) with purple serpents in her hair (=The strangler), venom dripping from their fangs. I recomend you watch some of the videos of The Order Of The Green Hand, the Many Faced God is the same entity as the Stranger (in the Faith of the Seven) and the Great Other (in the cult of R'hllor), different names for different religions but it's all the same thing, Arya is being shaped to be an agent of chaos, an instrument of the Great Other, just like Bran, they are both being manipulated trough their hopes and fears, Arya is promised a way to avenge her family members by becoming a unstopable assasin, while Bran is first promised that his broken legs will be fixed and then he is promised power enough so that his broken legs are no longer an impediment, because he won't be needing them to do the things he wants to do anyway, the three eyed crow is another avatar of the Great Other, and not, it is not Bloodraven, crow and raven are not the same thing and have very different meaning and simbolism. Personally I think Bran will discover he's being deceive (probably after he unknowingly has helped the bad guys to do something very bad) and then he will find a way to fight back and defeat the Great Other by destroying the Others, aka the White Walkers, and their army of dead people, not sure if he will end up surviving all of that or not, Arya on the other hand... well, she's a little more complicated, I don't think she will have a happy ending, not even something remotely close to that, she will most likely end up dying in her quest, consumed by her desire for vengance, after unknowingly (or willingly, it really won't matter in the end) having sacrificed a lot of people to the God of Death, most of them innocent people that have done nothing to her but just happen to be on her way, she could be end up as a sacrifice herself for all we know, that or she will fully become a faceless assasin, surrendering her identity as Arya Stark, doubt it though, that would mean surrendering her quest for vengeance and by this point she's too vengeful for that, and she's only getting worse, one thing is sure, she won't be a normal, nice person after all the shit she has went trough, one simply doesn't come back from all that and she's slowly becoming more and more like her dear mother, aka Lady Stoneheart, only that Catelyn is basically a zombie, so her evilness and cruelty can be atributed to the magic that brought her back and keeps her alive now, while Arya is still very much alive but her heart is definitely darkening, she won't be getting any better, remember how George sees the whole vengeance vs justice thing, Justice = Order, Vengeance = Chaos

The view that the Lord of Light opposes the Great Other comes from the followers of Rh'lor in the books, specifically Mel. From this perspective the Old Gods are the Great Other. However it is more than likely that we will never get an unbiased or accurate depiction of any of the gods (if there are actually gods). The followers of Rh'llor probably built up their mythology from real effects of fire gazing and fire magic but who is to say their mythos is right? It could be that Mel and the other Red Priests are just wrong and its more complicated than Ice Vs Fire and there needs to be a balance, or there may be several different elemental forces that wake in conflict from time to time.
