I have both of my subs in the front stage area and I get alot of good bass from the 2 powered subs and I can shake everything in the house and I can really feel the bass go through my body when a explosion comes when watching a movie
Hey Josh. Stoked Ive found you. Question: Which third party sub would you consider for mainly music? Have just picked up the Sonos Amp, Sonos Ray AU and In-Ceiling by Sonance. Now looking to source a third party sub (3rd party because of price)
Hey Gavs. I haven't tested any small subs with the Sonos AMP but if I was in your shoes I would go for something like this: geni.us/w1So6 It's a small sub, plenty of power, has great amazon reviews and at a good price. Hope this helps.
I have a Samsung subwoofer with the speaker on the side of the enclosure. Should the speaker face the listener? Does it matter? Also with klipsh woofer ...same question... thank you
Hey mate. I have a samsung soundbar. What microphone and software would you recommened for testing? Might add to my christmas list to get the best sound next year :)
Thank you very much Josh for the reviewing. Do you have a specific contact email in order to attach the picture for my living room and for looking for your recommendation? Also, unfortunately we are living at first floor and the people my neighbor who living the second floor always annoyed us with the high sound system speakers, may we know how to annoy them with our sound system speakers while we are living at first floor hahahaha? Thank you very much and always keep up with great job.
I have a really dumb question. I bought some nice spikes for my sub. They came in an 8 pack. I want to use the 4 soar underlying Bose soundbar. Good idea. Terrible idea or doesn't matter? Thanks.
Great video Josh although it creates more questions than answers 😡. One of those questions is Q: where did you purchase the red corner sofa? Thanking you in advance 🙃😉
Hahaha! Thanks Sage 😋 A friend of mine owns a furniture shop which is where I was filming my videos. I'm not sure who his supplier is sorry. It's really comfy tho.
if you have carpeted floors, do yourself a favor and get a board cut to place your subwoofer on to make it reflect the bass out. preferably cut a few inches bigger that the size of the sub. has worked for me for decades! luckily i have tiled floors now, although have a nice big rug in the middle of the living room for comfort, cut down on reflection's, echo etc. and with the board, you can just use raw lumber, board whatever, or stain it, make it look nice. also i suppose many things would work the same, poster board, etc.. whatever looks nice, and works ☮
The cardboard won't reflect the bass frequencies, I think you are talking about decoupling? I got 2 4inch think cement blocks form my hardware store which set on carpet so that has helped me (and my wife).
@@ghostrecon3214 not cardboard, piece of actual wood. i had a board cut, and i stained it, just for looks.. u dont have to do that.. but anv smooth little board will work. ☮
I was told that under no circumstance you should place your sub under the couch or in obscured places as it interferes with the distribution of soundwaves. What do you think about that?
If u live in an apartment, box up the subwoofer and put it in out of the way, or loan it out to a friend/relative, or sell it. U aint' gonna get by using it in an average apartment.

Excellent video, Josh! So much B roll, I can see the production value increasing with each release! :) Oh, and you're so close to 2K subs! So cool!
If it's the bedroom, keep it under the bed :)
Ik I'm way late but what if it don't find under my bed 😂

Gotta have them good vibrations !

Thanks for the video. The link to the bass playlist no longer works though 😞

No link in the description for a suggested microphone and software combo!

Nice vid. How important is it that the sub faces you as mine is next to me at the side of the sofa and fires away from me?
What about the link for the mic and software for the more scientific approach?
Thanks Josh! Very informative..do you have any recommendations for a good smaller-sized sub for a 12x18 room?
SVS SB1000 Pro
Rel 1205 if you want quality accurate bass

Thanks, Josh!...Very informative video on where to place my two Sonos subs...
Hey Josh I have the Martin Logan Balanced Force 210 which has opposing subs . What’s the ideal position for this sub?
1:33 I started doing the same thing, before I remembered I didn’t have a subwoofer. Damn! 😓
😂😂😂😂
Placing the sub directly under the soundbar has also a good sound quality?
Can sub be near radiator?, by near I mean almost adjoining.
I have the best bass in wardrobe. Gonna test it later.

Basstube is good for room ?
🍻 great video. I’ve been curious where the best spot for my subwoofer. Currently it’s front left hand side.

Hello. Is LG SP11RA for 900 USD a good deal? Worth it?

What if I have two subwoofers? Is this still suggested?

I’ve used mine in an apartment, I just ignore repeated warnings from my neighbors
Another easy solution for Iphone users use garage band and pick a bass if your sound bar has BT.
Can you explain a little more?
You'd do better with great placement and no room correction than room correction and terrible placement.
Yo Can i place my subwoofer below my computer table ?
