I didn't even notice that woman was sacrificed. She died while a dragon attacked the village for my playthrough, so I'm guessing its the twins' turn next once they come of age.

This place supposed to be a quest in it, Though developers cut it before the game release. Those thing are the remnants of the quest that suppose to be in the game.

Not a lot of detective work coming from the so called Elder Scrolls detectives. Jouane Manette says, "Secret? We don't have secrets here." Then he proceeds to warn Sissel about people finding out about their secret, so right away Jouane is a liar whose word cannot be trusted and they've put that in the game so you can do proper detective work. Same with Ennis who says he's the one with the head for business but wants to sell the soil. The word "bullshitter" was never more apt. The name of their farm is even a euphemism for bullshit - Cow Flop Farm.
Who can live for thousands of years in Skyrim? Vampires. Is Rorik a vampire? No. What's happened is the real Rorik was killed in the great war along with all the other men in the hold who were levied into service. They replace him with the imposter that you meet who will even say in dialogue, "I was a different man once."
Erik's father Mralki is also a liar. The chest with his armour in is still in the files even though the basement he talks about has been cut from the game. It contains iron armour not Imperial armour.
Most people have come to realise that they've killed off all the women but have yet to realise that they've killed off all the men as well and are in the procees of doing so all over Skyrim.
Balgruuf is involved in this because he's sent a detachment of guards to that village but not Riverwood. This killing off of the original inhabitants of Rorikstead by the people of Whiterun is even told in the song Ragnar the Red.
Now here's how it impacts the main quest and is perhaps Skyrim's biggest secret. The last two original inhabitants were Lund and Lokir. "Empire was nice and lazy until you Stormcloaks came along." Where would a lazy person live in Skyrim? In a Skeever hole. Now I don't know whether Lokir fled Rorikstead first and Lund killed himself or vice versa, but it doesn't really matter - at the start of the game Lokir is the last of the original inhabitants. With that Aldmeri woman living in Rorikstead and being Ennis's handler I think the Thalmor could have been after Lokir as well. Lokir is the last descendant of the ancient Nords who banished Alduin. It's his death that opens up the time wound that lets Alduin return. Lokir was the true last Dragonborn and we play the imposter he is replaced with.
Not only that we are the imposter who replaces the Archmage, Mercer Frey, Astrid and Kodlak and Miraak. The Skyrim secret is vast.

What evidence do you have that Lokir is the last of the original inhabitants of Rorikstead? As far as I remember he isn't mentioned anywhere apart from the prologue.
With the same reasoning, what evidence is there that Lokir is the last descendant of the ancient Nords who banished Alduin? Also which one? One of the three heroes who originally banished Alduin? I don't recall there being any background or familial lore regarding these heroes.
Also why would Balgruuf be involved in the potentially daedric plot to kill off the original inhabitants of Rorikstead? Because he is potentially a Thalmor sympathizer? Why would the Thalmor be involved? Because they knew that by killing Lokir Alduin would return and keep Skyrim in conflict? Ragnar the Red was written long before Balgruuf or the Thalmor was present in Skyrim so not sure of the relevancy there.
I think Lokir's death allowing Alduin to return is very interesting, but is his death the only thing leading you to make these claims?
It's interesting that Lokir's name could be derived from Loki, which could add some credibility to the claims that Lokir is more than he appears to be.
Also the final god Lokir praises is Akatosh, which could be a reason for some divine intervention through Alduin, I suppose. But he would need the evidence of being a descendant of historical significance to receive any sort of attention from Akatosh.

@@matthewrobinson4620 Come to me with questions! Good questions. That comment is two months old and I've discovered a lot more and figured out a lot more since then.
It's not the Thalmor that have been killing off the Nords, it's the Blades. Why do Hadvar and Ralof say, "I think it's best if we split up" when you exit the cave at Helgen? They have to go to Riverwood to tell Delphine that when Lokir was killed Alduin returned. They are both Blades agents. If you don't split up and go with one to Riverwood, they tell her after they send you to Whiterun.
When you return the Dragonstone to Farengar Delphine is in his study leaning over a book called Holdings of Jarl Gjalund. You don't hear what she says but you hear Farengar's reply. He says, "You see, it's a different terminology..." There's only on thing in that book that has a different terminology and that's "Rorik's Steading" is a different terminology of Rorikstead. What Delphine must have said to Farengar before we interrupt is something like this: "I was told he was from Rorikstead - It says here Rorik's Steading. Are you sure they're the same place?" Farengar replies with this:
"You see? The terminology is clearly First Era or even earlier. I'm convinced this is a copy of a much older text. Perhaps dating to just after the Dragon War. If so, I could use this to cross-reference the names with other later texts."
The Blades are trying to fulfill the prophecy of the last Dragonborn and they are doing so by committing genocide. Why they would do this is because they face an existential threat from the Thalmor who don't really know what's going on but they suspect the Blades of having something to do with the return of the dragons which is true. The Blades need an existential threat of their own to save them, and that's what they use your character for.

The smooth silky hair mod is cursed with the natural rugged dirty look the Nords have.
