I turned both of them down. Two of my guy friends liked me and one of the guys was always lashing out and being toxic towards his 'competitor'. He was the one who really believed he was in a love triangle, but I was mostly just annoyed while the other guy never responded because he was too secure in himself to care. Insecure Guy ended up ruining my 19th birthday party when he asked me out in the middle of it (after spending the whole time sneering at Secure Guy) and threw a tantrum after I turned him down due to his behaviour. Secure Guy is still my best friend 10 years later with a lovely long-term girlfriend, Insecure Guy is twice-divorced, and I've since discovered I'm gay as hell so they never had a dog in that race anyway.

Mine situation is not a triangle, *ITS A SQUARE* . So basicly i have crush on this really hot girl in my class but she has a crush on my best friend. When i found that out i was heart broken but was relived when he told me he doesnt have a crush on her, yet her BEST FRIEND and then shocked when my crush told me that her Best friend totaly has a crush on ME. I was in a square once. One of my friends and I sort of befriended this guy, my friend got a crush on him, and he got a crush on me, but I already liked a different guy, I'd been crazy about him for years.
Whenever we were hanging out my friend would decline to sit next to me so that he could, and it made me really uncomfortable that she was "stepping out of the way" and doing this guy favors when they both knew I liked someone else. I didn't even find the guy the slightest bit atteactive, so even if I wasn't majorly crushing on someone else, it never would have happened.
I eventually got together with the guy I liked (for three months, but that's a story for another time), my friend moved on, and I stopped talking to the guy that liked me. He ended up being a bit of an incel, so I'm glad that's over.
That first one sounds like how most love triangles would probably go.

Liking someone who is dating someone else is not a triangle
My girlfriend actually, we'll call her A. She said to me that there were two of her friends who had a crush on her and wanted to date her. Let's call guy 1, C, and guy 2, M. If I remember, C confessed first, and a couple of days later, M confessed too. She didn't want to hurt their feelings if she had to reject one of them and that it might ruin their friendships. So she decided to just date both of them, with the rule being that no one gets jealous or else she'll break up with him. They agreed and it kinda went well. Fast forward to 8th grade, she was classmates with M, whose classroom was on the 2nd floor of the building, while C was my classmate, our classroom was on the first floor. One day she decided to eat lunch with her friends on the first floor. M thought that she was spending time with C. When lunch ended and the teacher asked where is A, M responded something inappropriate that I forgot. His seatmates heard and told A and she got mad because he broke their agreement and broke up with him. And now C and A are dating. Fast forward to 9th grade, C dumped A. I forgot why but I think it's something because of relationship not working anymore. She was also my classmate during 9th grade as well and we got together so that's something at least. We're both friends with M, but doesn't talk too much to C but I'm kinda friends with him. So yeah stay in drugs and don't do school kids.
I can even share two stories:
First around 4 years ago. I (m, german) was in a small Roleplay-Group (VtM) with a bunch of other guys and a girl joined the group. One thing let to another and she and me became a "couple" (it was long disctance and we said no real relationsip untill we meet each other). Around a week before we had a date to meet up we made a joke to our GM: we both asked, if he things the other one has feeling for us. Stupid, I know, but well, you know how people can be in those kind of situations. Turns out Gm also had feelings for her and she had more or less feelings for both of us.
The Meeting happened, shortly after she also met with GM but could still not decide. It follows a month with back and forth untill I realized what this made mentale with me and basicly said "fuck that" and wished them both luck together. We all were still more or less on friendly terms and continued our RP-Group for around half a year from that on. In the end their relationship lasted around a year and my contact with GM faded with the time. Now she's in a relationship with another guy and we are still friends. She is GMing for a group I am in as a player together with her bf and some other folks, I GM for her, her GM and another guy and we e play together on a minecraft server.
Second was two years from now. She was a girl from the ukraine I met in a game and after some months I got feelings for her, but was a little carefull with jumping into stuff. A common friend from the UK talked me into telling her my feelings (or rather he told her, I have something I wanna tell her) and we became a couple. At first everything was fine, besides of UK-friend becomming a little weird ("I did bring you together, I am now your best friend!") but then he also "realized" feelings for her. You can imagine how this resulted, she also had some feelings for her and couldn't decide. And then the UK-guy did go apeshit and tried everything in his power to put me out of the triangle which resulted in him making a fake suicide. Later he stated that he did this to spite me. Obviously this shoked both of us and she didn't want to have to do anything with relationships for a while. We both cut contact to UK-guy and stayed friends and still are. She's now in a relationship with another guy from the UK for about a year and I am with a swedish guy (I know I am bisexual for over 10 years, but had mostly feelings for girls for most of my life, but after this I had no feelings for any women. I think, it messed up my romantic feelings for women pretty much, even if I still find them as attractive as ever).
Moral of the story: Love triangles are fucked up and even if you think they will work out, they will probably not.
My first relationship was a doosie. Boyfriend proposed a threesome and like the stupid kid that I was, I accepted. The other guy fell in love with me, I fell in love with first boyfriend, and first boyfriend fell in love with the other guy. They ended up hooking up while I was waiting for boyfriend. They started a relationship and of course first boyfriend cheated on other guy as well. Fast forward a few years and first boyfriend was trying to reconnect with other guy... THROUGH ME. This was back in the Yahoo messenger days. Now we all hate each other and wish the others would be hit by a truck.
I loved her, she loved another girl, that other girl loved me. This other guy loved the second girl, my friend loved the other guy. This isn’t spam or copypasta or anything. It’s an intertwining love triangle.
Went to the comment section just to share that I had a weird love square, person1 was my partner, person2 is person1's bestfriend, person3 is person2's partner.
Person2 confessed they actually liked me since they met me the same day I met person1. person3 asked me out a month after person1 decided they don't want me anymore, so I ignored person2 completely and dated person3. I told person3 I'm okay with polyamory and they can go back to person2 whenever they want, turns out person2 was angry at me for dating person3 instead of them and got laid with person3 to make me feel like shit.
Person 1 and 2 are monogamous, person3 was straight up in my vibe, I don't talk to any of them anymore because I don't wanna lol. This is a pansexual comment, square up.

Not exactly a triangle, more like a polyhedron: Once upon a time got into an affair with a [married] hottie. Her husband thought it was my roommate and showed up with a handgun making threats. After about six weeks, she ran off with some guy, got a quick divorce and marriage in Reno. Turns out she was cheating on her husband with me, cheating on me with a third guy, while also doing it with the guy she married. She was a very busy girl!
I had a gf who was in love with me more than i was in love with her, to my shame. We spoke different love languages and this would eventually push me away. We had a 2 friends who were married to each other but they were unhappy together. I feel in love with the friends wife and she was in love with me. We never explored our feelings or emotionally cheated but it was clear to everyone how much we got along when we all hungout. We wouldn't hangout with each other alone cause we didn't want to make our SOs jealous as they already didn't like how close we were. Eventually I broke up with my gf and she divorced her husband a year later. We didn't date each other because we didn't want to change risk our friendship. She is now getting marrked this week to a wonderful guy and I am very happy for her. Idk what became of my ex or her ex.

I recall having a situation with a somehat breaking relationship where i loved me boyfriend, but my boyfriend loved an old female friend of his, and that female friend apparently loved me. Was so weird to be a part of and i wouldnt blame him if his hate that followed was because of his envy that his crush liked me and not him. it was extra weird and a little saddening to have to decline the confession she made to me on the terms that while i can easily tell she is in no way a bad person, bad looking, or anything among that, i do happen to be considerably gay and simply found no attraction. pretty sure that whole situation made both of them go into a mental decline, with him getting more and more conservative and bottling any feelings, while she told me about how her first time getting turned down left her in an existential ditch. Neither of them are really much like how they used to be, and i always have little dark thoughts on what i could have done to keep things afloat.

I had a huuuuuuge crush on this guy from grade three to maybe around high school. In middle school, my friend I guess had a crush on him and wanted to ask him to the dance. I wanted to be supportive since he didn’t show any interest in me to I thought I’d help her. Well then she couldn’t go to the dance. I think her family was going away for the weekend or something and had to leave early. I don’t miss school.
Freshman year of high school two guys were after me in my friend circle so they were friends too. Went out with one, he dumped me not too long after. A few months later I find out that he got a girl pregnant (he was 17 at the time, I was 15) and he started going less and less to school and eventually dropped out I think. The other guy he was cool and still flirty but nothing actually happened between us except flirting. Lmao hard to believe I used to flirt and actually got TWO guys interested in me at one point. Good times.... this was like thirteen years ago, I think that’s when I peaked. Smh. It’s been downhill since then I think due to other issues but still

There was a time, long ago, when I was dating a guy and his pregnant ex, and we all lived together. I loved her. Him... Not so much. He was very narcissistic. She was goodness personified. I left both of them for my own sanity.
Back in high school, I liked A and A liked me. A had a brother B who liked me too. A would not cross his brother like that so he backed off until I had to be very mean to B in order to get him off my back. A was mad about that. A also had a best friend C who, following everything with B, started liking me too. I rejected C multiple times but he kept coming back until finally again I had to be very mean to him as well to get him to stop. A was quite mad that both B and C liked me and that I essentially broke their hearts and so A started being incredibly nasty towards me and after months of that I stopped talking to A, B, and C and that’s how the story ends. Good times good times.

Yeah, there was this guy who I really liked. He liked this other girl who I was also friends with. That girl was dating someone else who hated the guy. I fell out of love with him after he stated that he would never date me.
I guess I sorta was, in a platonic sense? When I was in junior high I started making friends outside of school. My classmate and very close friend at the time (A) didn’t quite like how much I talked about my new friend (B). So naturally, I would avoid discussing her to not piss her off, but that didn’t stop me from hanging around friend B when we weren’t in school. A started to behave really jealously whenever I’d tell her I already had things scheduled with B, as if I were her girlfriend or something? To make the situation worse, B had her own childhood friend who was doing the same thing, but she would actively hang out with us and literally pull B away from me, she hated me in a very passive aggressive sense and would lie to make herself seem cooler than me. It didn’t work at all, B got fed up with her and broke ties after about a year of that behavior continued.
We’d always joke around that we were coming in and stealing their girls, and wow, are you shocked to learn each of us are into girls? So I guess in a sense, it was a love triangle but none of us knew what we were feeling, none of us were even questioning at that time, so if there were crushes, we would’ve never even considered the possibility. So I may or may not have been apart of a complicated love triangle

Her boyfriend was fairly abusive. She fell in love with me but was unsure if it was just a cling to comfort. Then she did something for me that made me fall in love with her. Two days later she admitted she loved me, nothing got physical or anything. She tried to break up with her boyfriend the day before, and he said she's not breaking up with him and shit. She had enough of it, told him the day after she's done. We let it sit for a day or two, and then we started seeing eachother. Didnt go public for a month or two. We're now married. The end.

One time when i was 7 i was in speech and started to play with my fingers while the teacher was talking then she said "do you hear me zack?" I stoped playing with my fingers and left them in whatever position they were in. turns out i was flipping the bird to my teacher not knowing what that means.
Also, I was in love with my best friend at one point, but my other best friend jumped in and took her out. Best friend I was in love with during my dead relationship with a boy of 6 years, let’s name her M, ended up getting hurt by other best friend A. I feel bad, because I let it happen- but I also didn’t want to hurt my friend’s by making things difficult..I’m also not M’s type- which is okay. I respect her choice, and she seems happier now with someone that actually loves and respects her

I’m not sure. I have two female friends (I’m male) who always insisted they didn’t like me that way, but routinely did things throughout middle school (I met both of them in 6th Grade) and early high school that honestly suggested otherwise (It can be hard to tell whether somebody likes you or not; sometimes something that seems like a romantic gesture could just be how they normally act). The odd thing is, they only tended to exhibit jealous tendencies toward each other; the two both loved gossip about people’s romantic lives (Especially mine, by which I mean just them thinking there was something between me and another girl; even now, in my sophomore year of college, I have never dated anybody, and never have had any desire to do so; romance is too scary for me), and would tease me relentlessly about whomever they thought I liked.
I have no way of knowing if either of them actually did like me, let alone if this was a love triangle situation I never picked up on, but maybe it was.

I'm not sure what you would call this, but years ago when me and my husband reconnected outside of school he was divorcing his wife, she had been cheating on him with his friend for awhile, telling said friend he was abusing her (they were only married 3 months before she got caught), they got divorced, we started dating, fast-forward 2 years and I find emails between the two, he had been sleeping with her for over a year, she was still with the friend, I told him and he didn't believe me. I broke off the engagement but ended up reconciling and we worked things out, fast forward another 3 years and we are married, ex is still with the friend, who I was now working with, our relationship went through a rough patch where he openly told me he no longer found me attractive, the friend now knew about ex wife's multiple affairs while they were together (she was a serial cheater) so I had an emotional revenge affair with the one person he hated the most, getting back at him and her, flirting over text just enough to feel good about myself while sticking to a nonexistent moral line, probably the only thing that saved our marriage, I told him after ending contact and leaving the job, he realized the damage he had caused and I was able to let go of years of built up resentment. It lasted a very short time span (couple weeks) and it often concerns me how I was able to do something so manipulatively hurtful out of pure spite. We are now in a much healthier happier place, but it's crazy to think about everything that happened to get here.

Not sure if this counts, but when I was in middle school (7th grade), I liked this one boy. It wasn’t a “relationship” because we were 12 at the time, but our feelings for a while were mutual. Then, the girl I later became friends with in high school entered the scenario and it became a rivalry for his affections. Needless to say it wasn’t worth it after a while. To this day, I question why I even liked the kid in the first place.

My ex’s best friend was in love with him while we were dating. He didn’t tell her we were dating until I said something (I didn’t know that she didn’t know) and she burst into tears and threatened to kill herself. For the next two months she would contact me almost weekly and threaten to kill herself. She would crash our dates and spend 3-5 days a week at his house and if anyone said something or was slightly uncomfortable with her being there on our dates she would threaten to kill herself and cry. At one point she was driving and almost got us in a car accident because she was upset that I made a joke that she wasn’t in on (on a date she wasn’t supposed to be at).
I had lost my best friend from suicide and it really scared me and turned me into an anxious disaster. She knew and took advantage of this to ruin our relationship. Once we finally called it off she kept texting me until I got her to block me.

I wasn't sure if I should get back with my most recent ex at the time (we'd never gotten proper break up n just drifted apart do to rumours b her cheating on me) or date a friend's sister, or go for the virgin girl I'd just started hanging out with who clearly liked me. Somehow 20 yr old me thought that the virgin would be less drama so u dated her for 10 months n tho we r on good terms today, I feel really bad cuz I wasn't emotionally available n yet I thought she could somehow control her feelings n keep it casual. My 3 previous serious gfs had (in order) died, dumped me after u uprooted my life for her, n cheated. So I was not rdy for something serious n too stupid to realize that meant I needed me time. Funny thing, I don't have the one that tossed me like yesterday's trash or the cheater on facebook anymore but I do have the friend's sister n the nice girl so moral of the story is that the people u meet in the future aren't defined by the people u ney in the past; u can't judge people off the actions of others. Also, figure urself out before u try to be with someone cuz u'll hurt the good ones n then they may end up as jaded as u (thankfully she didn't. She worked for red cross fr a while n last I checked is still jobs that borderline on charity work. She is amazing n when covid is gone 1 of my goals is to hang with her again cuz I miss our friendship n her bf sounds like a really fun guy.)

Ya, you know, I dated someone for a short while, then I found someone better after I moved, so did they.
Then, after a year and a half, I had to go home for a few months. My SO, knowing they loved me, and wanted to be with me forever, assumed we would have a long distance relationship.
When I got home and saw the original person I was with for a short while, I thought, "you're here, they're not, why shouldn't I have some fun?"
Sure it took us a while to deal with my and their SO's "crap", but this has to be fate because we ended up getting with those other people on the same day, after we both originally decided a long distance relationship wouldn't work.
So this is totally meant to be.

He cheated on me for a long time w a secretary that worked in the building. She knew he was married she knew of me, I didn't know of her at all. He gave her the ole run around about he was leaving me soon blah blah but never would so she claimed to be pregnant to push him and he bought her a test which was negative, so she claimed it again a few weeks later n had her pregnant friend to give her a cup of positive pee, but he knew she wasnt pregnant so he cut her out of his life and of course this made her very mad! She then came running to me with the whole story expecting me to flip out on him, she said I deserved better an she was ashamed blah blah. Once she seen I hadn't kicked him out she started stalking me, calling me 24/7, so I told her to gtfa! She continues to harass me thru phone texts. She got fired for harassing him on the job in front of ppl. Once she began coming to my house, I told him he has to leave I was just fed up with both.

Well I have one BF, whom i've been seeing for 4 years at this point, and another BF ive been seeing off and on for 6, BF2 then became steady, and we still get along great, BF2 has some jealousy for BF1. But they're the best men I have ever known and I still love em both dearly.
If that wasn't complicated enough we're spread out over 2 countries and the entire continent, I'm on the west coast of canada, BF1 is in New york, and BF2 is in middle states. We've had a lot of fights about the poly relationship thing, butit ended up working out as I've told BF2 that I didnt want to choose between them since I love them both, even though im not a fan of polyamrous relationships.. with these 2 though 10/10 would poly again.
