I first remember playing this game when it was out all the way back in 2013 as a kid and i loved it. Probably the reason i love FTD so much (FTD = from the depths)
Two fond memories. The first? Completing that venture mission to scale a vertical cliff... WITH my rolling fortress, its girth barely scraping through the entry arch. (admittedly aided by a few boosters) The second? Making an aerial vehicle that can say suspended, move, and turn in every direction, with steerable hover glitch parts. This game has its limitations and slightly suffers from want of optimization, sure, but that aside, it is one of the most slept-on games of all time, methinks.
I love long thought out comments like this. I’ve had many different defining moments in terratech. One would be me learning how to put refinery’s and sell cannons on my techs and being super excited about making extra cash from dropped resources I would usually skip over. All my staircase techs, I swear those things would have every single weapon type on them. They would be as basic as just some battleship cannons, to big berthas, 3 pound cannons, machine guns, etc.
if you like these kinds of sandboxes you ahould check Scrap Mechanic out for a similar price, though that one is substantially different it's still a vehicle and contraption game (with survival too)
Some people in my discord server have talked about scrap mechanic who also have played terratech. Something about the art style isn’t super appealing to me, but in the future I might read more into the game.
Amazing video i love Terratech it’s the first game I’ve ever played and my favorite TH-camrs back then were the first TH-cam videos I’ve ever saw and this game just brings back so many memories and I love playing it . Thanks for the great video ❤
i’m planning on buying Terratech because i knew of the game for a few years (i think when it came out) and saw videos of people playing it but never had anything to buy it on, then i randomly felt like playing nostalgic and was thinking of multiple nostalgic games i used to always watch people play like Clone Drone In The Danger Zone and Terratech but i’m not quite sure on which version of terratech i should get. should i buy the plain Terratech or buy the one with all the DLC’s? i’m not sure what the DLC’s are for.
I play terra tech every day. Not including when i play pd2 (PAYDAY 2) i basically completed the game like 4 times, but i still play it. It has near infinite possibilitys and VERY active devs that actually interact with their community
I like that they do livestreams just playing their game and chatting with people, otherwise this whole comment is just another reason why TerraTech is peak.
Advice to players who want to do multiple play throughs: Get the R&D Labs DLC. It helps with making new techs and testing concepts so that when you do campaign, you can just craft the blocks for the finished product
I would play it now but the game doesnt work for me anymore, tried reinstalling and verrifying etcetc. going on forums and videos with what looks like the same problem, copy what they do and it doesnt fix it... loved the game and have over 400 hours on it but as it is now i cant play it.
There's a lot of reasons I hate pewdiepie, but one of the central reasons was his review of this specific game. He went squeakyvoice the whole time and gave the game no respect at all. And the worst thing is, the developers thanked him for the contribution and considered it an honor. This game is legit cool, it is a heck of a lot of fun for a long time. It deserved more love than top TH-cam memers just making a joke out of it for 5 minutes. (Edit: The video appears to have been deleted by TH-cam long ago for one of their hundreds of reasons, but it was definitely a thing)
I never saw said pewdiepies video but I understand a majority of this games criticisms, but its still fun. The journey of each campaign being unique and building up your tech and base if you make one is always enjoyable.
I have 400+ hours on the game because the game is really good, but it gets extremely boring because campaign is basically the same thing over and over (yeah I played and beat campaign/multiplayer campaign like 5 times already). Creative mode (co op or not) doesn't really interest me that much, the other modes barely have any content (deathmatch, guantlet, sumo, etc). I thought that multiplayer would make the game fun but theres just no randomness/chaos in campaign to change it up. Co op creative mode maybe but that kinda gets boring too. Overall the biggest issue terratech has is replayability. Other then that I would really want a much harder version of campaign. In conclusion, I have to figure out how to make campaign harder (advanced ai doesn't make the game hard enough for me).
I hope TerraTech worlds really adds to the games replayibilty. Also just the shear challenge of it, because honestly after playing it for a hand full of hours you basically master every encounter you’ll ever face. But same I have around 400 hours and I hope they can make some changes to things in the upcoming game/updates.
Personally, terre tech is a great game and I have played it but for some reason I was stupid enough to believe the game want complex enough and decided to buy From The Depths, a super, overly, highly complex, and customizable game, if someone wants a complex buildimg sandbox game that requires an engineering degree you should give it a try
Swearing is just a way of showing more emotion in an informal way, though not child friendly, I don’t see much of a problem as long as I’m not being offensive.

Absolutely love sandbox games. I bought TerraTech today for the first time, now will complete everything.
If you want to 100% the campaign and get all the achievements it will probably take between 20-30 hours. Have fun!
@@MegaSprite69 Well, look here, I'm dumbass so it will take me 60 hours haha :D
As someone who has 1.5k hours on steam (god help me) it’s a fun indie sandbox game that has a lot of different and cool mods that are on the workshop
