I’ve got one Bandit 1250 S 2007 model: fantastic engine with tons of torque, very smooth, comfortable and with everything in the right place. Only con: weight. I don’t plan to sell it, but to continue enjoying it as much as I can…!

Thankyou for your review. I just traded my GSX 1250 FA on a new bike here in Australia. Everything you say is so true. I bought mine new in 2012 and covered 98,000 klms. It has been rock solid reliable and a joy to ride. Whether on the highway or in the city, it just eats up the miles so effortlessly. I traded her on a GSX S1000 GT. As much as I love the new bike I just cannot achieve the same fuel economy. I could squeeze 400 klms out of a tank on the 1250 but can only manage about 340 klms on the GT with same size tank.

Hi George, I bought the GSX GT with panniers and was disappointed. I felt the quality wasn't there or the awesome torque when compared to the 1250. I'm looking at another nice low k 1250 FA in red atm.

I do miss the old 1250. But I am enjoying the new one. I love the cruise control for long trips.

Hi Dave, thanks for your channel! I too am a Suzuki fan and have owned 2 air-cooled Bandit 1200S, a 1250 Bandit, 3x Gen 2 Hayabusas and 2 Burgmans ( 250&650) and have loved them all. Trouble is I'm now in my mid 60's, I'm short ( 5'7" with a 30 " midseam and the bulk of these lovely powerful and torque laden inline 4's is becoming more apparent ( I dropped my last -busa at a stopsign (off camber, very steep hill) and I'm still crying. I switched to a Bonneville 900 speed twin (low seat height and fun) but really miss the Bandit. I have the opportunity to buy a beautiful GSX 1250 FA( same colour as yours )but no luggage with only 13,000km on the clock. I am very tempted but the 250 odd kg wet weight is daunting, what do you think? Steve in OZ.

Hi Steve thanks for the lovely message I’m 60 at the end of the year, if god is good, it’s hard to have to go low in power but there comes a time we must give in, But not give in, I have a Suzuki address also, as well as the bandit, I have much more fun on it and love it, riding the small stuff make me feel good, I smile to myself under my crash helmet, and laugh when the big bikers don’t wave back because I’ve done that and also loved it, I’ll ride my bandit until the day comes and think safety first, down size in is never a problem it a way of life, and let’s you ride for many more years, stay safe Steve and thanks for your support Dave

Agree on most things. Great instant torque, very good value being its strongest points. Downers-a bit staid, awful seat and 50kg overweight

Have you done a long term review of your bandit? I’m considering buying a 2008 1250S with 41k miles. Any advice?
