LT's will not pass smog since the cats are moved or removed due to the design of the set up. shorts and highflows allow me to put the stock cats back on during smog and allow to be passed. LT's you have to replace the whole set up back to stock. JBA shorts are legal, along with the LS9 cam. tune has nothing to do with smog as long as the tune is done well. im not due for smog yet so I cant say for certain but given the facts I don't see a problem passing.
How was your gas mileage difference after this? Sounds awesome..I have a ‘10 CTS-V and wanted to throw in a LS9 cam cause there so cheap rn but don’t want to kill mpg it’s my daily driver and rn gas prices are rough!!! It would help me a lot if you replied. Beautiful ride
I don't think my results will be the same. As my engine is NA. So it didn't affect my mpg that much. But for a SC motor I'd imagine the increase lift and duration over the the stock lsa cam will result in a drop in mpg as more fuel is being burned essentially. That's my opinion though and not a fact of the matter.
No. He gained damn near 90RWHP. The factory HP number is at the crank. Stock, this car makes 340-375RWHP, depending on transmission and dyno types. So he gained damn near 100RWHP. An electric water pump, possibly better headers(JBA=meh IMO), and no cats, would probably put him at 450RWHP.
i know that the gains were cumulative. im only speaking on the ls9 cam only. for example a bone stock ls3 and then add the ls9 cam. so what roughly 15-30 hp?
Man thay sounds good
Yeah. After tune it'd probably = around 30-50 of that.
The exhaust overhaul probably netted 20-30, and the CAI netted the rest.

Do you have part number to the valve springs and push rods you installed after?
Do you happen to have the dyno printout for this? Curious to see how it stacks up against the factory cam. :)
not bad
Why didn't you use long tubes , would've made more power
In what city is that shop at?
So with these mods you still passed emissions in California ?
so the ls9 cam and retune gave you 13 more hp?..
