I'm so impressed at how dust free everything is. The shelves shine, the tops of games/handhelds and bases of figures are all so clean! The arrangement and overall display looks great!
Excellent job in curating this awesome collection. I've watched it grow as I've followed your channel and it is a testament to your impeccable taste in games.
That's a very impressive collection, and just as impressive is how neatly and artfully you display everything. I have a lot of games, but they're just slapped onto shelves alphabetically. I've never had much interest in the collector editions or figures, but seeing how nicely yours are displayed has me rethinking that.
I always love how visually interesting and inviting your collection looks. Its variety gives a lot of texture that your eyes will constantly find something interesting.
Looks great! I’m a woodworker and I’ve been custom building all my furniture since I’ve been running out of room for my game collection, but yours still looks way better than mine I think women are just better at decorations and display
Love your setup and collection. Thanks for sharing Emily! Speaking of Link/Zelda figures, there was a BoTW Link Nendoroid that came out a few years ago with full gear and horse too, I think they did a re-release of it too. I kinda regret not getting it when I saw it at Target.
When VR-JRPG's really take off, and studios start reaching out, an individuals catalogue of games might be the determining factor to get on that list. This collection is definitely a big fish in the pond.
I love how it's organized, all series together makes it look really clean. I currently organize games by generation, then alphabetically, but think going by publisher/genre might be the way to go. Also love the Xenoblade collection, I agree Nia is the best lol
You have a nice collection of games. I can tell your very passionate about it. The was you display it with all your collectibles is beautiful. You have an eye for art
12:03 This is actually the 2nd pocket watch they made for the series. The first one was a Wristwatch that could be turn into a Pocket Watch that didn't need batteries to run.
Absolutely love how you have everything displayed and how clean it is. I'm curious as to how you keep track of the games you own so you dont unintentionally buy duplicates
This was fantastic! Love your presentation and all the stuff is so fun to see! Just seeing that original booklet for Pokemon Blue/Red made me so happy!!!
My gosh, this is such a dream collection! Warms my heart to see other gamers follow their passions to such grandiose heights! Honestly, this might be one of the best gaming rooms I've ever seen across the internet. You not only have an impressive quantity of items, but also an extensive variety as well - all neatly arranged so it's not a cluttered mess. Shout outs to the 3DS, Fire Emblem, and Falcom sections, those were especially exciting. Dang girl, you're quite the serious gamer - very impressive. Happy gaming 🎉😁
I love the bookshelves. I got them last year when you did the update. I couldn't set them up like yours because my game room is smaller. But what I did to make it a bit different is I built two leg standing shelves. So I can tuck games behind and have another layer for more games.
Amazing collection! I've just started catching up on my JRPG's and 2 huge series that I've neglected to get into were the Ys and Trails series. I just played through Ys VIII and IX (in preparation of X coming out at the end of Sept) and will play Trails Through Daybreak next. The games look great on my new Steam Deck OLED!
Collection looks very familiar! I remember from earlier videos how various parts came to the collection. I just built one more shelf to store my PS2 games.
Nice display of your collection :). If I was to show off my collection, it'd be a bedroom full of boxes. I bought some shelves intending to put games on them, but it's been over a year now and no games yet. Every time I think about doing it I realize just how much work it's going to be and then I go do something else. I'd pay someone else to do it but don't trust anyone not to damage them.
I love watching collections like this. Everything looks as if it was carefully picked due to your own tastes and not to just fill shelve space in order to make the collection look bigger. It also looks aesthetically very pleasing to the eye and it doesn't look crammed up even though you have so many items! I would have loved to see some viewpoints of the whole room though. :)
@@orbalology Oh i thought it was a dedicated game room. :) If you ever move to such a space i would love to see how you decorate/organize it and how everything will fit together! I'm sure it will look great!
I gotta say you did a great job with this video I really love video game collecting (not only because it’s fun) but also there’s a story to them! Sometimes it can be awesome like how I got my copy of metal slug on sega Saturn! And other times it can be weird creepy and disturbing like how I got my copy of the salamander deluxe pack plus on the sega Saturn!
Very impressive and beautiful collection! 🤩 I hope you can tell us how you keep your collection clean. With no dust or anything that could damage your figures or the boxes. I hope you share any tips on this matter. Thanks! - Ramon 🇲🇽
JRPGs are a type of rpg that have a certain feeling. And ones I tend to gravitate towards compared to other styles. I would like to get more retro titles but they can be extremely expensive.
@@orbalology Thanks for responding. The definition of a JRPG is a tough one for me because it's open to interpretation. The main definition is a game from Japan within the RPG genre. This could be any RPG made from Japanese developers without the "feeling", image, gameplay, visuals, characters and narrative that may interest the player. For example, the Dark Souls, Yakuza, or Undertale games are all JRPGs. I do believe this "feeling" is something I can relate to, since I find a lot of similarities between the games and sagas I follow. Additionally, I recommend to get into Western RPGs. Their worlds and settings are more elaborated in my opinion, and very often bring new perspectives and are more aligned with other entertainment channels, such as shows and movies. About retro RPGs, I agree, games for some systems are very expensive now and hard to find at decent prices. I was asking to see if you emulate or not. I for one don't since I've been collecting RPGs since the early 90's. Once someone gets deep into the RPG world, it's hard to stop and we always search for more and sometimes we are start scratching the retro consoles. The PlayStation 2, Super Nintendo, PlayStation 1 and Wii are excellent systems with incredible RPGs. I suggest those are a starting point for anyone interested in collecting superb games.
Awesome gaming collection, Emily! I can definitely see that it was the product of years of hard work. I noticed you didn't have a GBA SP in the handheld section though. 😁
@@orbalology You should definitely buy one when you have the chance. It was a huge improvement over the GBA for me. I still have mine that I put so many hours in.
Beautiful college. Very jealous of the statues. Are you double or triple dipping into the Trails games as they’re being released on switch, ps4, and ps5?
I’m glad I finished cold steel 1 before watching this, at the same time I’m worried I’m being spoiled by that reverie steelbook in a way I don’t fully understand yet 😅
@@orbalology oh word? Thank you. I mean yeah I know it’s kinda stupid to think there’d be a spoiler for a game on its front cover but I’ve heard falcom has done similar things in the past with announcements and such.
Very nice. I find it hard to resist a CE sometimes, but I tend to spend time deciding if it meets my requirements before buying them. Such as does it include stuff I'm interested in having, will I be happy with it, and really think about it. You have some CE's I'd just grab, but I was wondering what lead you to get the Psychonauts CE? I think the Y's Nordic fell short. Seems like NIS is shying away from steelbooks, which probably would have tipped me to grab that.
Psychonauts was one of my favorite games growing up. The LE for the sequel came with PS4 versions of 1 and 2 which was my main motivator for picking it up.
@@orbalology oh I forgot to mention. rose colored gaming, should have some nice stands for your portables. They aren't half bad, though I have started to design my own 3D printed stands since those don't meet my needs. I've gotten into modding, I'd like something that not only displays my LE's, but the various mods and clones I've started to accumulate. Like my FPGA GBC and LED GBC mod along side the various custom GBA's that I refurbished back to life into working units. Hoping to get a hold of some of hte PSP's, I was a poor college student at the time so I missed out on the Crisis Core and God of War PSP's. I have each model at the moment, but the rose colored gaming displays made them stand out real nice in my old display case.
Hi first of all awesome collection :) I saw you have the Xenoblade flutes from the soundtrack i can reccomend using acrylic pen holders/displays to dislplay them. Also did you see the announced figure (+ prototype) of Joshua? im already very hyped to put him with Estelle and Renne :)
Im surprised to not see a ps1 collection since it had amazing jrpgs. Its hard to keep up with everything though and it spreads yourself thin collecting for everything so I get it.
Oh what a beautiful collection! And I didn’t realise you had so many otome games and the LEs too! Which three otomes are your favourite? I just finished My Next Life as a Villainess and loved it
Oh the CEs are ones that I was gifted from idea factory but haven't gotten a chance to play other than some of charade maniacs. I wanted to try the villainess one after reading the first couple of light novels.
Love the collection! Have you tried Triangle Strategy yet? It’s almost a mix of a visual novel and Final Fantasy Tactics with a choose your own adventure twist.
Yes, I played it about a year and a half ago. I liked it for the most part but would love for the devs to perfect the formula if they choose to make a sequel/similar game.
This is an awesome collection of RPGs and JRPGs. But I have to know, are you one of those who like multiple franchises of anime RPGs/JRPGs or do you like certain ones? There are quite a bit of different RPG franchises but I watch my limit
I'm planning to get a PC either towards the end of this year or early next year. Not sure if I'll get a bunch of PC games because my backlog for my consoles is quite extensive.
Nice collection! Is this a room that your friends can come and play in or is it a shrine for your own personal use? The shelves look nice but as your collection continues to grow those gaps between shelves are gonna become a valuable commodity. Ask me how I know :) Maybe in the future the shelving with space can be relegated to shrines and figurines and you can also have a media shelf for physical media?
Nice collection. How do you keep it dust free without removing every item? Dusting mine can take hours when i remove everything to dust the shelves then the items
