Well, I have listened to it like 50 times now, Floor is my Queen and Valkyrie Goddess, and I love it. Yes I can hear slight imperfections in the mix. Floor is making these for the fans and I doubt any cover will make her buckets of money, not what she is doing it for. Love of the music and the fans, and showcasing that versatility she has, forgot, also having fun.

Same for me. First time listening the song didn’t do much for me apart of the joy hearing Floor sing. After a couple of times I have changed my mind. Not only do I like the song now but I also appreciate her vocal performance even more. …. Of course…😉
I have made remarks on the mix to. Lets say i am slow. Had my reservations. Heard it now many times and it grew on me like crazy, and in my mind i hear Tuomas, Marco and Floor say in interviews at the release of Endless forms most beautiful. Don't judge immediatly listen a few times ......... They are right.
Interesting. For me, this was her best cover. Really liked the song. I went and checked the original and really liked that one too. Idk if the vocals are supposed to be that way (check original) but I like when the vocals kinda mix/blend into the music (sometimes, not all the time).
I didn’t really get into it at first but after a few listens I really started to dig it. Floor really likes the song so I think she did it closer to the original than she normally does. The original has a lot of layering also.. I think it’s for a more mystical sound. I agree though it’s a little busy for my usual taste
It was amazing the first time through and continues to be amazing with every listen. Her control through the complex melodies and the power in her voice is showcased in this song. And she has impeccable phrasing even when following the original melody. Everything she touches seems to turn to gold, and this one is no different. While I certainly expect people to have different opinions, and with the utmost respect, I just don't understand the disconnect people are having with this performance.
Hey - it's Floor. Anything she does is just fine with me. That said, fact is, I really don't care for the song itself that much. It was her choice to do it so obviously she likes it or she wouldn't have done it. I agree with you about the mix, though. Of all her covers, I would put this one towards the bottom of the list, not because of her vocals (which are always amazing) but because of the song itself and the mix.
When she do agape in her Solo shows next days at AFAS, i am happy. But my problem, when she do all, i want to hear, it must be a5hr show.or 10. And thats hard hihi🤗😇😅

What a lot of whining about mix or sound..Come on! they are not for months in a studio recording and working on those songs. So they realy don't make them totaly spot on perfect. They are just covers .. and all covers still sound amazing.

Man, some of her home studio recordings have this "too high level" of instruments in the mix, so you felt it and said it he way as it is. Floor is also my favorite singer but i think its fine not to worship everything she does. More to that its not good for an artist if everyone expects to be "mindblown" by each track of thit artist. Because it sets up the expectation level higher then appropriate.
Yep, your the only one complaining. Don't think you know what you are talking about but , it's your opinion. First of all you are wrong when you said it wasn't her fault because you didn't like what you heard. Floor is in complete control of everything she sings outside of Nightwish. The song, the arrangement, the recording, the mixing and the filming of the video (her husband does that in their home studio). This music and video was an artistic choice. You didn't notice the the start of the video looked and sounded like an old VHS tape same way farther into the song even with tracking noise at the bottom. A cool effect, Floor is so creative and this is what makes her the greatest singer and performer today, maybe ever! Think about it when you watch it again. Did you know Floor is working on an original song to put out sometime in the future. She has been working on it for about a year now. I hope we all get to hear it soon. P.S. You didn't mention the real flaw in the video It froze up, a digital flaw.

I think that it's one of her best vocals on any of the covers she's done, but I agree that the mix is a bit off, and has been on a few previous covers. I think one of the reasons that they remixed Let it Go was in response to the criticism that the mix was wrong and that her vocals had to be brought more to the fore. I'm pretty sure that when she does these covers, she doesn't want it to be all about her and doesn't insist that her vocals overpower the instrumentation and change it from being a song to a showcase. Yet I also think that Thomas Johannson, the producer at The Panic Room (the studio in Sweden that mixes these covers), doesn't always get it right. Or, perhaps this is what Floor wants, and she can't please everyone.
@@Djekkie-gj7jz I also think that it varies depending on how you listen to it. When different people react to it, the sound varies, and it sounds different through speakers compared to headphones. I listened to it on her TH-cam channel and I felt it was, in parts, a bit loud on the guitars and drums compared to her vocal. I downloaded it from the Apple Store and it sounds better. So there is some variation.
The first time I really heard something off with the mix was Ave Maria. But otherwise they sound okay to me. But then again, I don't have very sensitive ears.
I have to agree with you Tom. Floor is 100% a master of her craft, and there were awesome moments in there. This was an odd choice in the mixing. And some of the vocal pitch swings were a little jarring, that may well be due to the original which I am unfamiliar with and have no desire to check out, so I'll take that with a grain of salt. ;) Other than that, always great to hear her voice no matter what she does.

There is nothing wrong with the mix. It depends on the quality of your own equipment if you hear the mix the right way. There are so many other reactions where the mix sounds so much better balanced and has more quality instead of this reaction.........😳
Did you flip the video, or are the words on your shirt really backwards? To me, the was something off with the backing vocals. Sometimes they sounded weird with the main voice. Just for one or two seconds.

To be fair to the the producer and as someone who makes music, a song like this is a nightmare to mix and master. The more elements the bigger the task to make it sound right. Also, I'm pretty sure that these covers a produced on a very tight budget so I personally don't expect commercial mastering quality. You're right though, the mix is very piercing a little flat and overly compressed. it kinda feels like they wanted to make it as loud as possible and went a little overboard. I like the song and Floor doesn't disappoint.
My lovely Floor seems to get caught between the same kind of production techniques...which are always high standard btw. Since M83's Oblivion, she lets herself being led through these 'sounding quite similar'' productions. Repeating is 'not' what we are used to from our Angel! Maybe Disney will notice her and maybe that's a goal, Floor wants to achieve. It's not my style of music. Oblivion and all her other COVID19-beauties before that one (except that Disney-song), are evergreens and very high standard...they have character.

Does Floor look more muscular? I think she has been working out. Trapezius and deltoid muscle look bigger with more definition. Vocal muscles not bad either. I agree sound not stellar on your presentation. I think it was cleaner on original? Maybe slower streaming rate when you did it??

I like this mix, yes it's loud, but it"s rock/metal so for me the music has to be loud, still I can hear her voice clearly. For me it's ok.

Haha could be true, ive had to many requests on stream for Deathcore...so maybe that has effected my hearing
