I cannot thank you enough for this video! You have helped clear up some of the questions that I've had and also got me to order a reflector stand before your video was over. I feel that your video has helped me put together the final elements for my home photography studio. You've earned this subscriber. I am looking forward to more of your video tips and tricks. Thanks again!
I have always enjoyed your tutorials you have been a great inspiration. Hope the best for you and your family. You are a phenomenon photographer and you make things very simple and play.❤
I am Far from a beginner but I enjoy your video. You did a great job in explaining how you don’t need to break the bank in order to get decent results.
Another brilliant video, thank you so much. These are brilliant because you simplify the whole process, show how you can do it with low cost gear but then your end results look amazing. Really inspiring stuff.
Thank You Sir, a very good Video I learned a lot I am trying to set up a small Studio in the Lana of my home. I appreciate your time to impart this knowledge, Your presentation is excellent.
I have the Godox/Flashpoint AD400 Pro and relied on the fantastic battery until I purchased the AC Adapter. GAME CHANGER! Not sure why I took so long to get it, but it's well worth the investment and saves the hassle of cycling through and charging the battery over and over. Great video! Reminds me a lot of my own home setup :)
I have the Godox SL60W, it’s a video light and I got it for my TH-cam videos. Now that I am into photography, I’m I suppose to give it out🥺 seems as if it’s not that dope for photography.
I just got my v1pro for my fuji. I am wondering if you can list the projects names or links to the items that connected to your vr1 pro flash stand. I am planning to get into studio photography. I have been doing street photography as hobby for nearly 20 years but totally new into studio photography. Would just the vr1 pro be enough as my main light for more than one person picture for studio? Thank you
Great video bro. I was never sure on what size backdrops to get (width). Definitely appreciate your simplified studio setup and insight. Gotta love those godox and Glow ez lock products. Looking forward to the next video.
Thanks brother! It's funny you say that about the backdrops because I went back and forth for a while trying to figure out what size I needed lol. Godox and Glow make amazing products👌 Appreciate you for watching😄🙏
This video was great! Ive been into photography for quite some time and was never a human portrait photographer. Ive worked worked more so with in the field pet portraits. Recently I have been contemplating doing studio type portraits and need to get a decent yet budget friendly set up. I am a micro four thirds photographer so a good lighting set up is needed. The small sensor needs more light and all. This was very informative and explained well. Thanks for this video!
That was very helpful man. I'm starting in photography and got all my gears. Just waiting on a couple of specific lenses I want and I'm out the door to capture some Beautiful pictures.
judging by the comments folks are not used to the ingenuity of BLK and LATINO shoOterz! I've met so many minority photographers who shoot as good as Ridley Scott(!) yet make it happen on shoestring budget! well done sir!
This was dope and super informative. I think you said make a video showcasing your relationship at home with balancing your in home studio. Most of us have a wife at home some are supportive some are not and some will kill us to have all that studio equipment laying around lol I just think it would be a dope topic.
very nicely done! For those with crop sensor cameras, a 50mm lens is equivalent to about 75mm which a great as a portrait lens. A 50mm f1.8 lens is relatively cheap if you're on a budget or just starting out.
Adrian, Happy new year and thanks for a great video. I was looking for something as close to this. Can you direct me to any of your videos where you have this studio setup at play. Meaning I want to see how you use the AD400, trigger, the softbox and speed lights. Looking to upgrade my home studio and I've heard a lot of Godox and looking to combine my Nikon gear with the Godox. Any link or help would be appreciated.
Hey. Happy new year to you also! I have a shoot I did with my son where I showed some behind the scenes. Here's the link to the video: th-cam.com/video/F33tzukqPF0/w-d-xo.html Thanks for this comment..I can make a video in the future talking more about my lighting setups.
Thanks man! I usually just pair them on my trigger. I prefer to do that versus using a speedlight on slave mode. I like the menu on the trigger better.
Great video! Thank you for sharing. I have set up my studio in various different locations - costing me WAY too much $$$! I am now looking to set up at home in a 12X20 space. What are your thoughts? Would this be adequate space for indoor shooting?
I just roll the paper out and tap it to the ground. Full body shots can be a challenge depending on how much space you have, but using a wider lens can help.
Out of curiosity, why did you choose the portable flash system ( ad200, ad400...) over their studio strobe like the dp400, sk400 etc. ? I find the Godox systems kinda confusing - speed light - portable flash - strobes etc.. can't tell the difference.
No specific reason. The AD200 was one of the first flashes I found out about when I got started with flash photography. Then I grabbed the 400 when it was on sale. I don't find them confusing at all.
I have a question I own a Sony a6300 but looking to upgrade but don’t know what full frame camera body to purchase would you recommend. The A7II or the A7III
A7iii hands down! Have you seen my comparison video of the A7ii vs A7iii? If not, here's the link if you want to check it out: th-cam.com/video/4esSCl5oBGQ/w-d-xo.html

What color paper do you suggest for someone just starting? Black, white, and…?
@@JeremiahsJourney08 Hi. I would say black or white. I think I started out with a black backdrop.
@@AdrianLardPhoto thank you. How would this work if my spare room has carpet? Everyone’s home studio that I’ve seen has hardwood or a hard surface. 😫
@@JeremiahsJourney08 You're welcome! I wouldn't worry about it unless you're shooting full body images.

do pros use zoom for portraits? why not faster primes?
I want to do inside studio work like this how can i get the steam less backgrounds or what’s best colors
I should have some of my favorites listed in the video description box.
Great tutorial as usual ! How do you pair your strobe and your speedlight? Do you set the speedlight on slave mode?
Thanks man! I usually just pair them on my trigger. I prefer to do that versus using a speedlight on slave mode. I like the menu on the trigger better.

I think 12x20 is plenty of space!
I want something exactly as this
Hey you could do it. All you need is a little space.
How do you do full body shoot in your studio and a plain white background?
I just roll the paper out and tap it to the ground. Full body shots can be a challenge depending on how much space you have, but using a wider lens can help.

so would you get the C stand or the Neewer stand that you have in this video ?
Hey. Yeah, it's cheaper and just as good. I mainly use my c-stand now for just outdoor portraits or events.
Out of curiosity, why did you choose the portable flash system ( ad200, ad400...) over their studio strobe like the dp400, sk400 etc. ? I find the Godox systems kinda confusing - speed light - portable flash - strobes etc.. can't tell the difference.
