The thing about Bucket, as in most of his live performances, he realizes when he makes an error, and goes with the flow, adjusts to it, and hell, i tends to end up sounding better than the studio version, its that versatility that makes him so epic. Bucket plays better by accident than most people can play on purpose
I noticed that he makes LOTS of errors but its kinda completely unimportant. He improvise a lot so i guess that's why. Plus his errors are not catastrophical. A.note here or there. Never messes with a flow.
Improvising on a piece on the go with a mask on the face on a fretless guitar is impossible. How he does not manage to screw up more notes is still a mistery to me.
He's my idol man, I knew about him after Giant Robot, and since then, devoted to learning this guy's style. ^^. Wish more people appreciated bucket, he's a terrific musician with a witty theme.
+LimitIsIllusion I agree... a big part of that has to be that his backing tracks in shows like this are all pre-recorded and mixed to perfection and then he just pays over top of it. much harder to get this quality with 3 live musicians.
With how many songs he has, he’s bound to forget notes at some point in a live show, but the way he can go with the flow and improvise and make it still fit in with the rest of the song is amazing. He’s extremely fast in his shreds despite age, which adds even more to his level of skill.
That improv solo at the end was sick... That is the coolest thing about guitarists, improv. Singers can't do that, well... unless you're Christina Aguilera singing the national anthem... then you can
OK, he made some seemingly irredeemable mistakes throughout most of the song, I admit... But. The improvised outro solo CLEARLY salvages the quality of this song. That was absolutely breathtaking, and I dare any naysayers to play what he played toward the end and survive. Buckethead FTW! :P Btw sound quality was indeed very pleasing! Thanks for posting!
Buckethead is probably the greatest guitarist in the world. How diverse, soulful and skillful can you get, and, despite the enigma, you get the feeling there is a really great guy behind the mask.
No, he does not mistake. Ever. He changed his song, because it occurred to him that us humans are not good enough to enjoy this sacred song in its full glory.
dang. i'm not disappointed just shocked really at how many times he goofed in this one performance. i don't think i've ever heard him mess up in any performance that i've seen. must have just been an off night. poor BH. i think the first mistake must have got to his head and he started actually trying to play guitar rather than just being the guitar like he always is lol. Whateva, he's still the best
To be honest, the fact that he made a couple mistakes makes me respect him even more. Even though he made mistakes, he just kept going. They didn't ruin the song either so its no big deal. I can't, and for that matter no guitarist that I know (and I know a couple pretty good ones) can come even CLOSE to matching the INSANE speed he hit on that solo, let a alone do it with a couple of mistakes. Binge and Grab has to be one of my favorite songs...ever.
no really at 2:34 he stops and he was supposed to continue through what he was playing right before that..i have seen him play perfect in a lot of videos..he still is the best in my oppinion!!
I love this more than the original album soundtrack. The sound is just more warm and fat which is just what I wanted in this song. Maybe its the effect of being live or maybe buckethead also thought what I had thought.
I'd like to tell you guys this was his last song on his setlist, and he's been playing for 3 hours streight, except for the dance and the nun chucks, He has to be exausted, I would too, I can't even do that =\
@netitox check his website? Only the most expensive tickets are left, The rest is *Sold out*. I cannot buy tickets (yet) =( beacuse they don't ship to Scandinavia. After May the 13 i can buy tickets and get it just before the festival starts.
@MrTheRevsOffspring ive noticed the same but defferently other pro players, he doesnt play the same for a couple of years to release another thing. I think that when someone releases so much as him he tends to forget parts or maybe change them so that he doesnt get bored playing the same. either that or he need bigger openings on the eyes of that mask
2:24 This fickin riff has always plagued me and now I don’t feel so bad....HE CANT EVEN DO IT HIMSELF WHEW😅 DAMN I LOVE LIFE THANK. You. GOD! I knew it couldn’t be done live...I’m fulfilled..... AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH SORRY BUCKET
@bitchslapper12 G3 is a tour set up originally by Joe Satriani and Steve Vai since 1996.Most of the time it features Joe, Steve and one other guest guitarist which is why its call G3.Guest guitarist have included Eric Johnson ,Yngwie Malmsteen and many others.Ive been to only two of the concerts but did see them when they 1st hit the road back in 96.If your into guitars this is one you wouldn't want to miss.Much more info out there than I have to give here.Google it.
After learning quite a few of his songs (think I am up to 8 now) it feels like a lot of his songs are like that, the riffs are easy to learn. However, even months after originally learning them I do mess up from time to time, they seem easy to mess up on for sure.
This makes me soooo happy! This dude saves my life everyday. Say what you will. Tech shmeck. This guy is all about touching peoples souls.
Hell yea my friend!
He definitely saves my life everyday. I owe him alot.
I feel you. Buckethead is very technical player but he's always pouring so much soul to his playing it's unreal...
@johnford8941 Exactly!!! Same here!!! 🥰
Bucketheadland has saved my life…
The thing about Bucket, as in most of his live performances, he realizes when he makes an error, and goes with the flow, adjusts to it, and hell, i tends to end up sounding better than the studio version, its that versatility that makes him so epic. I noticed that he makes LOTS of errors but its kinda completely unimportant. He improvise a lot so i guess that's why. Plus his errors are not catastrophical. A.note here or there. Never messes with a flow.
And then has his pinky make up for it in the solo

@@palopalo8359Exactly, ever wear one of those drama masks? Can’t see shit 😂
@@tapeworm6093 to make matter worse, bucket put wire mesh on the eyes of the mask to conceal his own eyes
the quality is so good and we get such a good look at exactly what he's playing. Seriously for '08 this video is a HITTER
Gotta love his homage to big hair bands.
Ha ha! My thoughts exactly. A cross between Cheap Trick and Poison
He's my idol man, I knew about him after Giant Robot, and since then, devoted to learning this guy's style. ^^. Wish more people appreciated bucket, he's a terrific musician with a witty theme.
One thing I noticed is that almost all buckethead live music has pretty good sound quality and some is even fan recorded
+LimitIsIllusion I agree... a big part of that has to be that his backing tracks in shows like this are all pre-recorded and mixed to perfection and then he just pays over top of it. much harder to get this quality with 3 live musicians.
LimitIsIllusio. Its magic! Magic is real!
@@RedroomStudios He usually gets even better quality with live musicians. His performances with a live band are the best.
@@RedroomStudios its difficult to play with a backing track with underlying notes mistakes are easily noticeable.
@@phat80 I totally agree. Much better than with backing tracks
I think that his right hand looks like the the Alien face hugger crawling around on the guitar neck....awesome!
oops, meant left hand of course
With how many songs he has, he’s bound to forget notes at some point in a live show, but the way he can go with the flow and improvise and make it still fit in with the rest of the song is amazing. He’s extremely fast in his shreds despite age, which adds even more to his level of skill.
Unreal....that ending solo is the best improvisation ive ever heard in my life
The final solo is so sick... cant get enough of it.
Buckethead is very amazing
i love this song!!! it's sooo catchy! i had this song stuck in my head for days after listening to it =)
2:35 He saw Chuck Norris in the crowd.
Phoenix Kape that is hilarious
Phoenix Kape lmfaoooooo
Phoenix Kape that's Fucking great! Chuck and Bucket. Two of my heroes!
Phoenix Kape weird Chuck is my other hero.

Why do people compare buckethead and slash? Is it because they have the same hair? They are totally two different players
hahaha ...same hair....!!!
hahaha same hair hahaha
Because Slash is the only "good" guitar player 70% of people know the name of...
Buckethead, I love you so much...
not so different, both likes aeolian and ionian mode
dude I absolutely love this video I hope It stays up on youtube ETERNALLY
Buckethead is one of a kind and thats why it brings me here day after day :) ......

I would so love to see this guy on a 3g tour.Thumbs up if you agree.

Honestly, no mistake could ever make me hate this song when Buckethead is playing it. :D He's just that good.
This is awesome!!! 💜💙💜💙💜

Nice sound I like his style ! Shawn Lane is smiling ! Rock On Buckethead ! Save the Chickens !!!
@saznrai I just checked, he has 58 albums currently out. This includes work with other musicians, and work under the name Death Cube K.
hey thanks for uploading dude =D
a buckethead lick .. when I hear that lick .. I only say, "its buckethead".
No one grooves with their instrument better

I cry every time that see this
Me friend Dan M taught me this riff, and I’ll NEVER forget it, even though he has. Sad. 😢
Reminds me of a sunny day with friends not a care in the world
I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH BABY!! ... TOTALLY KICK ASS !!
I really like that he maked that mistake it put a smile on mi face and apart from that we got an extra awesome solo at the ends!!!!1
check out other of his performances of Binge and Grab... same "mistakes" . Maybe this is just the way he wants it to sound :P
i like how KFC didn't want him to wear the bucket with the tekst "funeral"
Eu ainda vou ver um show desse cara, nem que tenha que vender minha alma pro demo! XD
My favorite rocker of all time
He might screw up a couple of times, but the huge lick at 2:58 more than counteracts that.
Awesome song, awesome performance!
4:17 - 5:32
Ooh yeah.
the improv is crazy. Its like what if that was on the record? he can do anything at anytime!
this nigga inspired me to play guitar hahah best song ever
wow, it's remind me better times :)
Buckethead is half robot half human so he doesnt make mistakes, he makes errors. : )
Paganini of Guitar

dear buckethead, i've been searching for binge & grab guitar tab all over the Internet but always got the wrong version. pls tab this song, amen !
Buckethead was busy that night and hired some guy to play for him. Big B doesn't make mistakes.
This man is GOD.
yea, I also like this new getup with the white bucket alot better. Think he looks cooler. I know its not brand new, but yea.
@kaaskoe4 Sadly, yes. I think he has done only one or two shows out of the US.
Love the straps....^_^i dont mind if he got messed-up,,,,he's still the beSt...^_^
Funny enough, all the "mistakes" he made were during the slower parts, while all the fast shredding was perfect!
I saw the expresion to, there is no need to have a mask we can always see his emotions
I can keep up with Buckethead... on the rhythm sections. Forget keeping up with his leads... for now...

the riff he messes up on is a hard riff, its fast and has got loads of hammer ons. Even the god that is buckethead will mess up now and again.
@GuitarMasterRicky13 Buckethead does make mistakes sometimes of course but he is good enough to adjust his own songs as well.
You lied to us....
The audio isn't good, its AMAZING!
