Buckethead isn't a person He's an 'Idea'. imagine almost every kids dream to be a rock star yet BH shuns that concept. he could have easily soldout and would have plowed his way a spot as one of the greatest guitarist of all time (which he is anyway) but instead he prefers to feed the slunks and enjoy the simple things in life. i surely admire his playing but his ethics and humble nature given his divine talent is extremely inspirational. no "behind the music VH1" story here, no "well i was real messed up on coke and blah blah"... this story goes "boy picks up guitar and a bucket o' chicken and becomes a God"

Patience is a lost art. I think it's safe to say that Buckethead is a musical prodigy/genius and that Hold Me Forever is more like a fully realized symphony than merely great Rock and Roll. The way it builds tension throughout, and that it has recurring themes, gives the impression of being created by a classical composer. If Rock and Roll is your religion, Buckethead is a GOD. His mom must have been really special, to have this dedicated to her.

There is no doubt that he is a genius and No. 1 in my personal list, but I would also say a great human being despite his complicated personality and weakness (... who does not have one!!!! ....), I think what makes people love him so much, it is also his humbleness, his way of not being a star even if he could afford it. Hope His doing well and taking care of himself.

As a father, fellow guitarist and fellow Buckethead fan, my deepest condolences I am very very sorry for your loss. This comment truly hit me hard and broke me a little bit I am crying this morning reading this.
Brother, may all of life’s healing and blessings come to you. I am so sorry. No parent should ever have to feel such pain. I pray that your spirit heals and know that one day you will be reunited with them again.
I’m not very religious but I am spiritual and I promise you, I used to be agnostic and very very logic based only. I’ve had a few experiences and heard many stories that have changed that for me. I still hold to logic, but I am relieved to know there really is a spiritual realm and we cannot see the whole picture of the creation. It’s what keeps me going almost days. I want to see my grandparents and the ones I’ve lost along the way again one day. I’m sure we will one day my friend. I don’t know you, but I love you, and I am sending love your way today. At the speed of light, or even better at the speed of Buckethead. God bless

These are things he expresses because he came from an environment of love and care. I was extremely disappointed with their latest release. When I heard they were actually recording another album after so many years especially after consistently telling fans and record labels no, I didn't think it was gonna be anything close to the other albums. While I love 10,000 days that album even wasn't on the level of Opiate - laturalus. Its obvious Maynard has moved on from that mindset that made Tool, Tool. Instrumentaly it's wasn't like the other way their music evolved.
Just seems like it was just for a great payday for them.

Kay Kumpf - I actually think about this quite frequently. Running around with my head cutoff with work/life that sometimes I forget how short life is. Most of us are climbing in a panic state, trying to figure out where we belong or who we even are, that we forget to pay attention to the most important aspect of life. FAMILY. Mom and Dad, Brothers and Sisters. After all the bullshit we go through and all the friends we meet, family will always be there. Thank you for reminding me to cherish the moments I have with my family while we're all still here and healthy. To be honest, tripping on psilocybin always makes me want to go home and hug my Mom and Dad for everything they've done for me and all they've sacrificed. I can't wait to be a parent someday.
