Great work, i like all the effort and detail you put into it. Problem is, that D3 glue is water proof but not weather proof. So it can withstand water for a short period but if the wood is exposed to rain on a regular basis and the water seeps into a crack in the paint, the glue will come apart. Same problem with the already glued up boards you put on the rotted ends. That glue will not withstand weather if it's wood made for furniture. You need D4 glue or epoxy if you want it to last another 30 years. I understand the point of keeping as much as possible but in this case, everything is covered in paint anyway. So making all new wooden pieces and keeping the metal hardware would have been the best restoration as it would have restored the looks and the original durability. But still a joy to watch. 😊

Ottimo video e interessante l’uso della sega a immersione. Una domanda: la fresa metabo (manuale) ripassandola più volte non rischia di eliminare spessore anche là dove non è più necessario? Mi Pare che anche al settaggio minimo asporti materiale. Saluti e grazie!

Love the crafsmanship , but confused about the length of the brass hook and its ability to hold the door closed ! 😎🍻
The hook is used for a half-open/half-open hold that does not open completely in the wind. It is not used to keep it closed.😁🤞
Congratulations!! If you are going to use this door outdoors, I think you should not use pine wood, even if it is painted for protection.
