I always look forward to your videos. Thank you for taking the time to educate those of us new to resin. The interference blue looked so beautiful!! I have the same swan mold and found the top and bottom just doesn't seem to match up. I checked the reviews from the place I ordered the mold from and found others have complained about the same issue. Anyway, I have thought about gluing some cork on the top portion and calling it a day. Again, thank you for everything you do!
I just came across your channel in my feed, so popped in 😊 I love that iridescent ghost powder, ver pretty 😊 I also have this mold, and I made it twice on my channel in March of this year, I can tell you it really is a pain to fit together once hardened. You were on the right track of heating it up to soften the base, and I can help you with why you were still struggling to get both pieces to fit together still. When you have the base softened you need to stretch the tail out sideways, the same with the front, and try to keep the middle from "boating" as it causes the tail to front curvature that was the issue you were fighting with. I hope that helps in the future. Two other tips, if you do this swan again, and you unmold while it's still pliable, place a sheet of plastic wrap between the two pieces and then put them together to prevent them from melding together, and when using water to get the volume amount add 10% to that amount to be able to have enough to allow doming too. Water weighs less than resin, therefore doesn't make the mold expand like the weight of the resin does. Of course if you plan on putting inclusions in it, that will help decrease the amount of resin you'll need. Good luck! Oh, and I subscribed 😊
The color is gorgeous! I once knew someone that had a necklace that held a large piece of real opal that looks almost identical to what you have made. It was amazingly expensive and looked like plastic .
That interference blue is really great when you add it to another color to create a color shift.. try adding some purple or green colorant to it and you'll love what it does! Did you know interference mica comes in 3 size particulates? Fine is what you used the medium is known as sparkle interference and the large is diamond. You get more coverage less transparency with the fine. That's why it didn't look see through. But it gives that beautiful ghostly effect.. I loved the end result btw! Great job!

Beautiful! Just take care of your lungs. I know it's a faff on UT to wear a respirator but it's not worth not working without one. There are so may experienced resin uses that have learnt a hard way. Thanks for sharing. ❤
😊😊😊 Obrigada por mostrar esse molde! Eu vou me lembrar de não comprar....tudo chega muito caro no Brasil, não dá pra arriscar! Ficou parecendo madrepérola! Lindo.
New subscriber here. I have amassed a huge supply of the ghost pigments (as well as all sorts of other colorant) but haven't yet delved into the actual pouring. I've been studying resin for several years. This video made me wonder how mixing the different colors of the ghost pigments would look in a piece vs how they might look with the different ghost pigment colors swirled in a piece. Lovely work here.❤
When I do jars I like to take them out of the mold while still slightly soft and put the lid on the bottom of the jar and let it finish curing that way. They won't cure to each other but they will cure to fit each other, if that makes sense.
Like others I bought from Temu and it doesn't fit...I gave up trying and filled it with the battery fairy lights which takes away from the bad fit. I thought it was me having to make up more resin for the base and so am glad it wasn't just me.
The mold was not made correctly. I have the same one from temu and they dont fit. I tried it twice. I use the bottom as a simple trinket dish and the top is just to put on something else as decorations or just a piece on its own..
I bought this mold from Temu and the 2 pieces did not fit together. It's the first problem I've had with a mold from there. Even after applying heat, it would not match up. It's not you.

Run hot water in a sink, place the piece in there and check on it every few minutes until it softens. Once it does you can reshape it. ❤
Thank you. I’ll give it a try
Love love love the color 😊

@@cwv-artistry thank you so much.
That reminds me of those milk glass swans!!
That is so funny. I poured those butterflies today and I'm pouring the swan tomorrow!
Let me know if your swan fits together.
The swan looks like Milk Glass💜🙏

Thank you. I’m going to try it again I think I needed to put more resin in the top.

I bet it would be really pretty. I only have the one ghost colors as of right now. I do want to get more.

What a shame the top & bottom don't quite fit properly. However the colour of the swan dish & pendants is really pretty.

That’s probably what I’ll do. I got mine on Amazon. I will try it one more time.

Good to know. I will try it again to see if I can get it to fit.
Maybe those molds can be used separately and the pieces could be put together and the seam be sand off for a smooth finish.
@@ReadySteadyGo. The bottom dish for sure. But the swan top, idk.
Switching off, you always doing things away from the camera. You cant demonstrate things that WE the people cant see.
There is no need to announce you are leaving, just go. No one cares about you or your opinion.
Work on staying in the camera
I’m working on it. I’m still learning this video thing
Why you working offf camera so much? You will lose viewers this way
