And the 777x with its range & efficiency probably makes the most sense, but I really hope the 747-8 is picked to continue the jumbo jet legacy as Air Force One. :)
The 777-X is not an option according to current requirements. One of them being at least 3 engines. That’s why the first purpose built AF-1 had at least 3 engines.
In this digital world there is no need for supersonic. Even for normal business people. If you bring your phone and laptop your productivity doesn't take a hit. Supersonic is only for enthusiasts. Why should the president ride on a private jet sized dart? Is he John McCain evading enemy planes?
Right, so I see where the confusion is. 1962 is when Air Force One was officially named and passed to a 707. Eisenhower was president until January 1961. Eisenhower did fly on a 707 but it had Air Force livery. Sorry I wasn't clear :)
The map showing Roosevelt's route to Casablanca is extremely wrong! The Boeing 314 "Dixie Clipper" (technically an USN C-143) route was from Miami, Florida to Trinidad to Belém, Brazil to Bathurst, Gambia (now Banjul, The Gambia). At Bathurst, he changed to an USAAF C-54 (ex TWA DC-4) for the flight to Casablanca. The return route was the same except for a stop at Monrovia, Liberia on the Casablanca - Bathurst leg.
I use to be stationed at Davis - Monthan in Arizona, which is where the boneyard is at for where decommissioned planes go to, and the old AF 1 plane was out there. I had a restricted area badge to go into the boneyard and walk right up to the plane and touch it. It was cool & all but the C-5s that were next to it made airforce 1 look like a Learjet

The A380 I think is safe to rule out for the reason you just gave, though it is a very interesting concept and would keep the plane in the air for a little longer.
Just in case you don't know - that was not a U-boat shown.
he said that
@@BenCarpendale 😁
Love the proposed livery.
2:14 1953 maybe? Eisenhower wasn’t president in 1962 (nor in 1952)
Right, so I see where the confusion is. 1962 is when Air Force One was officially named and passed to a 707. Eisenhower was president until January 1961. Eisenhower did fly on a 707 but it had Air Force livery. Sorry I wasn't clear :)
Hey, did you accidently duplicate the clipper at 0:24?
The map showing Roosevelt's route to Casablanca is extremely wrong! The Boeing 314 "Dixie Clipper" (technically an USN C-143) route was from Miami, Florida to Trinidad to Belém, Brazil to Bathurst, Gambia (now Banjul, The Gambia). At Bathurst, he changed to an USAAF C-54 (ex TWA DC-4) for the flight to Casablanca. The return route was the same except for a stop at Monrovia, Liberia on the Casablanca - Bathurst leg.
Thanks for the correction. At the time of editing I couldn't find the route by the aircraft.
Kursk representing a U-boat
*_completly accurate_*
It’s all I could find
Nope that was a Typhoon class sub.
Some "long haul" guys have been very inspired by this video
I'm sure its a 'Simple' misunderstanding
45's livery looks identical to aeroflot
Exactly what I thought
True
I’m subscribed this video is good
:)
I'm so glad turmp will have no chance of screwing this up. Same guy who wanted to stick with "goddamn steam" (lol) will probably be in prison by the time it comes to choosing paint.
Super informative. Thank you.
I remember after Awesome #45 won in 2016 thinking he would just have the most advanced Air Force one made ah specially for him but knowing he stopped that idea and others because he knew that money would be better used on fixing the horrors of the last administration and instead used his own plane that’s just as good!! As Air Force one
I’ve actually been in the 707 it was pretty cool
Your lucky
The airbus plane actually looks really good!
Imagine a military spec A380
Very informative ...thank you
Love your contents Nick!!
Thanks!
The Dolphin 2 probably shouldn’t be here,as there is no evidence it flew in it,but I like how deep you dug and I appreciate it
I thought it was an interesting place to start the story
damn man you deserve way more than what you have now
Thanks for subscribing! This was a tough video as its not just one 3d model, but there is one for every presidential plane, including the Lockheed one although it only appears very briefly.
In my opinion, you done a great job!
Can u pls explain how this boeing 314 travelled from DC to Casablanca I. 3 legs? Did it refuel in mid air as those days air refueler never existed
Stop 2 seems to be the Azores.
Stop 1 was probably a refueling ship at sea half way to the Azores, a seaplane tender of some sort. The 314 is a seaplane, so that would be my first guess.

Awesome video thanks for sharing
A great video, and it confirms some things for a future video I am putting out shortly on my own channel. Thank you
Unlikely but maybe the 777X or the A350 should be in thought as well ,fuel prices should probably be going up in price in a few years time
No, one of the requirements is at least 3 engines
The us government won't use an airbus aircraft unless it's made in the us
@@woodduck2178 yeah and they don’t make widebodies in the US
airbus for an American president no way
Gas prices is the least of the US governments concerns
Really interesting video
Thanks for visiting

747-400 Military AKA VC-25 is so cool!

Patriotic Americans: it’s treason then...
Well spotted

lol. I make is silly comment about the US leader not using US made planes, and then a political battle starts. I get it. rage on key board warriors, rage on.
@@Sir_Gugharde_Wuglis I'm sorry for people bugging you with politics
Kenetic Kups eh, it’s the internet, and everyone is on the edge of their seat right now.
I enjoyed watching the Video
The best content!
The 747s entered service in 1992, not 2001.
Awesome video!
Btw they already bought two new 747-8i to replace the older 747s, so yeah they already made a choice
Thank you for the history lesson
Considering Eisenhower wasn't president in 1962, I'm guessing you meant 1952. :-)
Well done. Quite informative and interesting.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Hope TH-cam recommend your videos more often so you reach more people... Your videos are amazing!!
Thank you so much!!
Super sonic sounds super smooth...
The best bit Capital L Bunkerboy won’t be riding in the new one lol hahahahaha 😂😂😂😂
an Eisenhower era 707 is at Boeing Museum in Seattle
as is a Concorde (saw that one on Final final approach...
its a VC-135
What does SAM stand for??
Surface to Air Missile
I hope that it will be the 747-8. For me, it’s one of the best aircraft in the world
I chuckled at the use of a Russian Typhoon ballistic missile submarine to represent a German WWII U-boat. Otherwise, another excellent video. Keep up the good work but your treatment applied to military projects would be the icing on the cake.
It was the last shot of the day and I was like... where can I find a uboat... i KNOW it was wrong, but man sometimes you just want to get it out!
@@FoundAndExplained Fully understand. I would be untrigued to know how many people spotted it. Do you have any intention of expanding acope to military what ifs? There is so much scope post war. Keep up the great work.
Since A380 is made by European, we will never see A380 Air Force One
0:18 that plane go Z-fighting tho
You say SAM 2600 but the tail shows 26000???
26000 - mistake on my end
Good thing they chose the 747
Nice video
The current Air Force One is a 747-200B, the new plane would be the last version of the 747, the 747-8
Actually it is a VC-25A
@@jumpnrun3368 based off the 747-200b

Seems legit.
Trump's new livery design looks like his personal jet's livery just flipped. I hope they stick to the original livery. It's way too iconic.
SAM 26 and 27 THOUSAND. 3 zeros in thousand.
Vc 25a entered service in 1990 not 2001
Yes but the original 707s were still used till 2001 and given the name air force one when the president used them.
@@FoundAndExplained alright but, the vc 25a was in service after 1990, it was said that they entered in 2001, when they entered in 1990.
We would have lost a few presidents if we went for the DC-10 😂

A u-boat with ICBM is really a problem to allies
I hope the super sonic aircraft in the future Wont hurt the environment, As concorde learned.

I see, a bootleg mustard. No offense.
needs to be a a350 in the force one fleet.I wood have the engines red. Wings blue with a American flag running nearly the full fuselage.
