The "enter turret" thing is also present in Halo 3 multiplayer map Snowbound. It's an effect of how the turret AI "works". They're flagged as vehicles with an invisible/model-less AI piloting them. In Snowbound, you can use the Forge mode to overload the map and despawn the AI, which then lets you enter and control the turrets.
@@fuzzydunlop7928 Maybe, it's a reference to mass effect, or Mass Effect, and Halo are in the same Dimension. Meaning that both games exist at the same time, but are in there own universe. I haven't played much of Halo, but if I remember right a race of robots wanted to wipe out all organic live? In Mass Effect there was 1 races that wanted to wipe out the Galaxy, and that was the Raiki. (Sorry if I butchered that name.) The Reapers wanted the harvested Organics. The Reapers main objective was to provent chaos, but destroying the advance Civilizations. So that way a endless war between Machines, and Organics never happen. However, you the player can decide the outcome, and fate of the Reapers.
I'm gonna guess the Lone Wolf spartan model is a leftover from when the level was being made, used as a reference of scale. As far as i know, this is used in map making, but once the map is finished then it's removed. I remember seing something similar on Destiny 2, where before the release of the expansion Shadowkeep, players found a new area by going out of bounds on the planet Io that had a grey guardian model, just like the spartan, at the beginning of this newly discovered area. This area ended up being used for the new Strike "The Festering Core", that launched with Shadowkeep. Needless to say, the grey guardian model is now nowhere to be found.
The mystery ship in Halo CE is interesting. There's also a MP level in one of thr halos with a lot of shipwrecks that aren't Covenant. A lot of people think it's an extra galactic civilization unrelated to the Covenant.
I remember seeing "Fascists!" as well, also I remember years ago, my brother having the same glitch happen to him as it did to you at the elevator, it was pretty cool to see first hand
Surely the box on delta Halo is just the switch to toggle the gondola, the load zones change it's visibility. So it's loaded in at the start of the level, a load zone hides it before the player is supposed to get there, and then the switch is usable when the gondola arrives, And de spawns after player interaction. The physical switch on the gondola is just for looks, but the box is the real switch. I thought that would be the logical thing from a game developer position, especially with an older engine. Edit; this is also why there is no box at the second gondola section. You always have to hit a load zone before you get to it so it's visibility is disabled before you can possibly get to it.
12:05 I never thought I would have laughed to a mispronunciation, especially since I'm not a kid anymore. But that way of saying "Jorge" just made my day. I literally listened to it 15 times LMAO
Man. Love this oddity stuff. I had some super weird things in games over the years since childhood. Some cool things was accidently jumping over the flickering bridge in halo 1 before you meet the flood. Just had perfect timing on my first ever playthrough by accident (i liked run jumping). Another was in the same area, i managed to save all the marines once, and a couple of them stayed up where they drop down from and didnt die. Never had that happen since. Exploring multiplayer maps in halo 1, i swear I saw a spartan run across the hallway at a T section way back in the day. Scared me to death. Must of been real tired. Another amazing thing was a demo disc for mercs: playground of destruction. I blew up a hill and actual minutes later, i was a ways away in a gunfight and a box came a smoked the guy I was fighting. The physics and placement blows my mind to this day.
Always love the content you and the guys put up RS ✊🏻 so cool that y’all actually network with other top tier halo peeps too. There’s always fresh content and it’s like while the other channels are chasing something, you look the other way and chase something else to keep it new. My guess is that the missing ODST Sign is there by chance and not by pre-loaded game design. Sorta like how a Minecraft Seed works, its just randomly generated. Try going to the area where you think it is and then just reload the game and go back.
The box on Delta Halo is a left over asset from the devs. It was a mistake and if you manage to get close enough to it, it would say something along the line of “Hold E to open gate”, it’s been a known thing for years and there’s been speculations on it already, but I believe it’s the same control panel on the multiplayer map “Zanzibar”. And the random door on Halo 3 was debunked by General Heed, it’s a door saved there to load as a backround prop when you take out the AA cannon, and the door is typically inaccessible during normal gameplay.
I’ve spawned outside the elevator too! The explosion is so hilarious!! It’s likeonly getting a puff of fire effect at the open part of the lift. Other wise there’s nothing else

I remember having the same thing happen to me and some friends, one of us spawned outside the elevator and I got to see the fire, from a different perspective. If I recall correctly I didn't die or anything, it was quite small in fact. I don't really remember how it happened, but I do know that we were rushing the level when it happened, not having killed everything, i think.

Hey, the poem is "The Hollow Men" by T.S Elliot. The hollow men in the poem is a reference to effigies that are burned in a bonfire on All Hallows Eve. I could be wrong, but when I went to the police station as the rookie the audio got weird. Try going to the burning police station and play the audio in reverse to see if it lines up with the first part of the poem like how the stonehenge did for part 2, "We are the hollow men...Remember us...as the hallow men The stuffed men" (part 1).
5:00 yeah had that myself one time. But as a gamedev myself I can assure you there's nothing of interest, the whole level stays the same. As you state it's just smoke and mirrors or uhm camshake. There's a saying in game development: "If you can do it, fake it!" I know Halo never feels like it's faked but it is. The glitch happens because of Halos respawn system wich takes all possible spawn positions, player deaths and current hazards into account. So if you died far away from the elevator and nobody died near that nieche it's located in, the fire is tagged as such and therefore seen as a hazard for the spawning system. but the place before it is a save spawn location.
Just want to let you know that the unknown ship found by guilty spark, the one shown in the video around 8:30, is identical to the REAPERS in the Mass Effect game series. Maybe I am wrong but they are the same, it could be a crossover or a reference.
Thank you! Finally somebody created a video on all these things. I was litterely just about to make a video tomorrow about these things lol. Great video!
Listing the game glitching as “the biggest mysteries”? Yikes, man. Sometimes games just glitch or have bugs, that’s not a giant mystery needing investigation by the community, and the fact that more than one item on the list are just the game glitching out is pretty lame. I thought these were gonna be like, lore-related mysteries. The only mystery I thought had potential was the ODST glyphs, but I doubt there’s anything to “solve” in them, they’re just art done by the devs imo.
5:00 Yes ! It happened to me ! I played Halo 3 on the first Xbox 360 (the white one) and I was stuck in the background. I saw the flames and also cans of explosives, it seems to me. just behind the fire I saw the beams of the elevator shaft but I couldn't reach them.
As a kid while playing halo 2 , I was trying a lot to drop the prophet from its chair and somehow I was able to ride the prophet chair for some seconds until he teleport back and got kicked out of the chair
rocket you mention at 8 min that's its humanity's first interaction with a halo, this is false. Humanity was on the ring when the librarian was collecting species before the array was fired. also most of the monitors for forerunner instalations were being that were turned into the constructs. for example, 343 guilty spark used to be a human named chakas, this is mentioned in the forerunner trilogy of books
In halo reach every armor variant is its own object in the game files. Every helmet, chest, etc counts as an object loaded in ram with the map files. When you have armor the game just loads from that list that’s in ram. In order to add new armor to the game requires re downloading the whole map. So if you wanted to add a new item to forge world, you have to re download the forge world map file. So you would have to re download ever map file for ever campaign, multiplayer, and forge map and every dlc to add new armor. Edit: you can watch the ViDoc “the good the bad and the ugly” for the reach beta. The open shot was a big where all the armies popped out of a Spartan when doing an assassination TLDR: to add armor to reach you need new map files repackaged with the assets. You basically have to re install the whole game.
I'm willing to bet Microsoft had the fascist graffiti removed. I have a memory of seeing it too. i remember it being in the opening area of ODST single player campaign on 360. Somewhere right after you wake up in the pod as rookie and drop down.
I don't know why nobody just buys a new old stock copy of ODST from eBay, remove the hard drive from a 360 to remove any updates that may be on it, and boot up the game. If it was ever there, it would still be there with that method.
Another wierd thing I remember is playing that ice map on Halo 3, and being able to clip through the walls by the darker base and being able to see teammate's screens while behind the wall.
Are you sure you didn't just die and were viewing them as a spectator? We've never seen anything within the franchise that lets us view other player's screens except for theatre mode (which is an entirely different system) so there is absolutely no reason to believe they would go through the considerable effort of making a shader to display a particular player's screen on a texture.
@@EastDallasKicks I no longer have an Xbox 360. I think it had to do with split screen maybe. We spent a lot of time making hidden entrances for bases using glitched spaces in forge mode, so if you're able to recreate it that would be how.
There's another Mandela Effect in ODST that happened to me personally. A couple of weeks ago I was on MCC and I was playing through ODST for nostalgia sake and I got to the last mission and I vividly remember back in like 2011-ish when I first played ODST I saw a TH-cam video on there being a hidden energy sword at the end of the level and I remember going and finding it and using it and I could remember the exact location it was at. However, it's not there now and apparently it never was because I dug through youtube trying to find a video on it and I couldn't find anything about it. I thought it was just bad memory but I can remember going to that exact spot and finding it and using it. There's something strange about ODST lol
Delta Halo button: It was likely planned there would be a gondola ride in this section before the level got so big it was split in two. The button is just leftover. There's another one in the High Charity chandelier room, this one is more mysterious! The Storm door: General Kidd made a detailed video for this. It opens and closes because it was never given specific mach behavior. Reach out of map turrets: Just a developer shortcut. Rather than make a new turret from the ground up, makes more sense to just copy the already completed warthog turret vehi meta and adapt it.
Here's something that has only happened to me as far as I know. In Halo: CE, The Maw, when I was driving to escape the Pillar of Autumn from exploding an elite got on the turret as I was driving by and started shooting The Flood. I assumed this is like a glitch that's foreshadowed because at the start of the episode the title card says, "Hitchhikers may be escaped convicts". Another glitch that happened to me is in Halo 5, I spawned in the barrier where the vehicles come out of.
Another mystery to put at the top of the list: Cortana somehow manages to give Chief a total physical swap-over aboard half a malfunctioning ship in the middle of bumfuck nowhere without any apparent physical aid. An intangible AI gets Chief out of his apparel during cryostasis presumably outside of his knowledge and clothes him in something else, then claims to have rewritten his firmware. Like... At least Bungie gave a reason for the change, however vague.
As someone who has made maps for games, I will say the random spartan model in halo reach’s campaign is more than likely a reference character model: a human that is put into the world in order for the level designer to get an accurate sense of scale, they probably just forgot to delete it when the level was done.

Do not stop until their surface is but ash.

Word. I’d even go as far to conjecture the whole thing might be a Mass Effect reference.
It does look far too reaper-like to be a coincidence.

@@DannyEastes is it? Oracle, what is the purpose of the glyphs in Halo 3: ODST?
The one ship from the terminal looks like a reaper, I'm tempted to think it's an Easter egg nodding to the mass effect franchise.
I think I know where the “fascists” graffiti is. I’m pretty sure it’s in an image included in one of the logs you find in ODST
Minute 27 of the audio logs
Yep. You are correct.
For the one where you spawned outside of the elevator couldn't you record it a second time by going to theater mode and spectating your player?
Yes, but you can’t save films in mcc and I imagine this glitch he encountered was awhile ago
Why MCC is still broken today
At least they fixed a lot of the glitches and it's actually playable.
It's not broken anymore actually, I'd say it's essentially stable now.
That's not really a mystery, 343 devs are crayon chewers 🖍
@@Ghanemq8 so they're Marines?
In what way is it broken?
I remember seeing "Fascists!" as well, also I remember years ago, my brother having the same glitch happen to him as it did to you at the elevator, it was pretty cool to see first hand
“GRD was never added to Halo Reach” *laughs in MCC Season 5*
I just played through ODST about a week ago I KNOW I saw “Fascists” written somewhere near the start on the way to Dare’s helmet

It’s kind of ironic that a game about a rookie solving a mystery in 1 night has an easter egg that hasn’t been solved in 11 years
I think most of these can be explained to just being cut content/ examples of every Halo being built on the same broken engine.

Halo Mysteries: "So this one time i got a glitch... Pretty big mystery I'd say. Like a GLITCH? In a VIDEO GAME? How'd that happen? Guess we'll never find out unless game devs tells us why I one time had a super specific glitch."
I still cant solve how they screwed up the newer games
They took out what made halo great, fighting aliens and zombie like flood. And just replaced the enemies with boring robots.

I swear i saw the "facists" graffiti in the 360 version
its in mcc too, audio log Circle 6 Arc 2.
5:00 yeah had that myself one time. But as a gamedev myself I can assure you there's nothing of interest,
the whole level stays the same. As you state it's just smoke and mirrors or uhm camshake.
There's a saying in game development: "If you can do it, fake it!"
I know Halo never feels like it's faked but it is.
Could be a reference. Some have seen it as a variant ancient human ship, from the Halo 4 terminals, too...

@@lxs077 Careful. That’s how you get viruses. Both kinds of viruses.
rocket you mention at 8 min that's its humanity's first interaction with a halo, this is false.
The open shot was a big where all the armies popped out of a Spartan when doing an assassination
TLDR: to add armor to reach you need new map files repackaged with the assets. You basically have to re install the whole game.
You explained the intro right. It was perfect.
If it was ever there, it would still be there with that method.
as far as the Helmat on reach goes it is offically in MCC as a seasonal reward
The fascist graffiti may have been removed from the game due to being politically charged.

Another wierd thing I remember is playing that ice map on Halo 3, and being able to clip through the walls by the darker base and being able to see teammate's screens while behind the wall.
Could you recreate it for youtube?
Are you sure you didn't just die and were viewing them as a spectator? We've never seen anything within the franchise that lets us view other player's screens except for theatre mode (which is an entirely different system) so there is absolutely no reason to believe they would go through the considerable effort of making a shader to display a particular player's screen on a texture.
@@cyqry No, we were alive. I think it had to do with playing split screen.
@@EastDallasKicks I no longer have an Xbox 360. I think it had to do with split screen maybe. We spent a lot of time making hidden entrances for bases using glitched spaces in forge mode, so if you're able to recreate it that would be how.

Anybody else get an ad when Cortana said "This is the way the world ends" lol
Where is it in the level?
And now we'll have GRD helmet!
Awesome to hear Marty chimed in! Continue the hunt gentlemen. I will be watching!
A lot of these were solved by General Kidd
1:38 When you've been waiting for the apocalypse to happen, and it finally does:
Delta Halo button: It was likely planned there would be a gondola ride in this section before the level got so big it was split in two. The button is just leftover. There's another one in the High Charity chandelier room, this one is more mysterious!
The Storm door: General Kidd made a detailed video for this. It opens and closes because it was never given specific mach behavior.
Reach out of map turrets: Just a developer shortcut. Rather than make a new turret from the ground up, makes more sense to just copy the already completed warthog turret vehi meta and adapt it.
Just found the channel. Love it. Just waiting on the connection between Spartans and Guardians
I realize now that when it was showing noble six (s) helmet on Reach when there were plants again, it was 39 years after Infinite.
Another mystery to put at the top of the list:
Cortana somehow manages to give Chief a total physical swap-over aboard half a malfunctioning ship in the middle of bumfuck nowhere without any apparent physical aid.
