  • Just a quick mock-up of something Batman-esque utilizing Metropolis Ark 1 and Cinematic Studio Strings (and some Adventure Strings for texture). Compressed and EQ’d together to sound like a cohesive section

    The spitfire Hans Zimmer strings library is very aggressive, I mean 60 cellos 20 bass’s it’s explosive.

    Actually this is much rather a rip-off of "Waking Up" by "M83" from the movie oblivion. How can no-one hear, it's like exactly the same. I love it anyway, but it's srsly so similar :D

    • @PeterToml1nson
      @PeterToml1nson  2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I totally hear the connection! My particular influences for this one though were more along the lines of Batman Begins, which is likely where Trapanese and M83 were drawing from for Oblivion. At least that’s my theory. That seemed to be the pattern after Batman Begins (2005) and Transformers (2007). Lots of clones of this particular sound

      @@PeterToml1nson yea, the staccato patterns are common in all of these productions, i totally agree. I do even use them in my own productions - there‘s definetely a reasons why so many composers express in this string play style. I didn‘t listen to m83, but out of memory i think especially the key and tempo to waking up is the same which makes it so similar. But as i said, i love it tho!
