Just purchased one of the heat 425 crossbows. This is my first crossbow and I'm very happy with it so far. Just got it zeroed in to 10 yards now have to back it up to 20 and get it dialed in

Now I'm really wondering about an impromptu shopping trip. 😅 What did you guys feel about the string on these? Most other reviews I read, people complain about the string breaking either after a few shots or right out of the box.
Just bought the Amped with crank yesterday and then realized that the crank protrudes from one side (typically situated righties like mostly everything else in this world). But I'm a Lefty. Do you know if the it can be flipped to the other side (ambidextrous)?
Just bought the Amped 425. Man I was able to chronograph 429fps with the stock 400 gr bolt. I was surprised with all the other reviews that I'm reading stating that the bow shoots barely above 400fps.

Think that’s worth the shot now or better of going into a store. Interested in both crossbows and bow and arrow hunting. I have a rifle and shotgun for that type of hunting.
Just bought a heat 425 and put a 300 dollar scope on it and it’s any bit as accurate as my dads raven r26 and is still very accurate at 100 yards. The r26 had a much better crank setup and is still definitely a better built bow
@@RVTRAILER Do you not have the time to do a TH-cam search? Look for 100 yard crossbow shot. It's common enough and while not easy, can be done by many with good arrows and calm wind. Sorry you have trouble at 100 yards using your big rifle. There are lots of guys shooting pcp pellet guns with supreme accuracy at 100 yards.
Soooo why do you continue to call it an introductory bow. If I take this bow and add a $400 scope can I be a grown up or is it standard to be a big boy do I need to spend $1500. Just curious can I take a deer with this crossbow? Quit trying to guilt people into spending thousands of dollars to be serious hunters.
I’ve killed dozens of deer with a $150 Barnett recurve crossbow. It’s a load bow for sure but some common sense and little ingenuity you can quiet it down. It’s funny that after 15 years with my “cheap” bow, I upgrade to a $225 pawn shop Killer Instinct Boss 405 and when I check out some videos about in the “hunting pro” TH-cam channels, it’s called an”entry level” crossbow! Really?! It’s got 100x the features and modern technology than the bow I used for 15 years! So it IS the price of the bow that determines its categorization of “entry level” ! Because it’s leagues about MY “entry level” now!
The center point crossbows with adjustable stock break where the stock meets the receiver it's a design flaw especially if you use the cocking crank that clamps on the stock and center point does not stand behind the warranty they will not even return your phone call or answer after the first time you call them you end up stuck with a broken $400 crossbow I don't recommend anyone buying this crossbow
This is a few months old but I just paid $499.99 at a local farm and home type store for an AMP 425 that now comes with the silent crank in the package. I haven't priced the silent crank but according to the review they 'will set you back nearly as much as the 399.99 bow'. I have never bow hunted to date but am exited to try out this "beginner/entry level' crossbow ;)

I own this xbow. will fill a tag on ANYTHING if you put the shot on. if you miss, the moose probably won't kill you..the bear depends upon how fast u can run i
I have the amped 425 center point had it two days power string broke on it. What size and type of string should I get for it?? I'm pretty sure center point will send me another one but I want one ik won't brake on me again.
Yup, got mine yesterday and the right limb popped and snapped and then broke. It was my first draw and lock with it too. Didn't even get a.bolt out of it. I called Centerpoint immediately and they had me send a couple pics in ans said they will replace my limbs ans strings right away. Hope it doesn't happen a second time...
You know if you would have stepped back a few more feet the crossbow would have shot faster do the fact that the arrow was probably porpoising through the, graph when you took the shot

My 425 amped came with lighted scope. Target shoots great at 20,30,40 yards. Can't wait to go deer hunting with it.
I put a ACOG fiber optic scope on mine, crosshairs are bright from eBay and I put a AR-15 fore grip on it instead of the factory, much better 👍

100 yards? I have a hard time zero in my M18 Mauser at that distance, let alone a bow. Good one.

Certainly not faster and accuracy is on the shooter and a well tuned setup.
