Yes! Thank you for doing this review. I first saw this beast in a book when I was in elementary school and I still cannot get this monster out of my head to this day. I'd love to see more of these relatively unknown cars on the channel!
Well done Joe and great job with that background on this S7. This is one of my all-time favorite cars. I am looking at my 1:18 scale model of an S7 in that exact some orange right now. You are right about the timeless design because this thing looks better than many other supercars out today. Again, well done and the stats on this car puts many of today's supercars to shame. Simply INCREDIBLE!
I was actually nervous clicking on this video as I've heard too many car "enthusiasts" pronounce this as a Say-lean. It's like dragging nails down a chalkboard! Thanks Joe for once again proving that you at least pay attention to how a car (persons last name) should be pronounced.
I knew I recognized this Saleen S7, it was featured in a tuner documentary on That Racing Channel, here on TH-cam. The big "N" on the intake plenum stands for Nth Moto, the tuner company which modified this car from 750hp stock, to its current 1100hp.
You're absolutely right Joe, this could be a brand new design, it's aged so so well. Great that you're going to be visiting Saleen HQ, too! The current White, Yellow and Black Label Mustangs are also superbly designed.....so I'm hoping you get to go "on throttle" with those!
A great review to start my morning 😃 One of the most beautiful car and the gills design are one of the unique characteristics that made this bodystyle stands out among the other supercars... Glad to see one especially in mint condition 👍🏻 Thank you for bringing us this one Joe!!
Wheel finish is personal preference. "Zonk"ing it is a disservice to this perfection of a machine. I love full polished wheels. Works on many flashy cars.
Absolutely Joe. I can't speak for anyone else but I sure enjoy seeing this type of vehicle. Your definitely coming with what I like to call "The A-Game.
Awesome car! I have a car salesman friend who let me drive a Saleen Mustang that his dealership let him take home. It was on my birthday so I’ll always remember the day. Thanks for sharing this Saleen Joe. It brought back that memory. 🙏🏼👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
It was very well known car in my neighboring city of Troy, MI! Your opening monologue about the car, and Steve Saleen, are totally spot on! You did your homework for this one! 👏 Less than 5 miles from my current residence, was the plant, where those current Saleen Mustangs, were engineered, and converted... The S7, as put you it, is a timeless modern marvel! And Steve was, and perhaps stills is, a true visionary. Unfortunately, he's had his share of financial woes, !ike other automotive designers, here in the metro Detroit, MI, area! Truly, "thank you" , for showcasing this one, on your channel! 🏁🏁 P. S. ... The polished wheels fit well with the street car, however, I totally agree with you on blacked out ones, if this were the, "Type R", model! 😉
Well if ya wanna be technical that design is 20-21 years old. You’re 100% right about it being timeless bc that car will always look good, definitely One of my favorite cars! This came out around the same time as the Chrysler ME four-twelve. A race between the two would’ve been epic !
My son plays with my 16 year old 1:18 model Saleen each day. Didn’t know it was unheard of though, I mean “Bruce almighty” and basically any car enthusiast usually knows of this car. Plus Doug demure did a video on it talking about how many vents it has lol
Mama Mia what a spicy 🥵 🌶 macchina. She’s gorgeous. Hard to believe it’s 16 years old. 1000HP!!! Take it out for a spin Joe. We need the 0-60 figures. 🚗 Excellent review 👍 Tell those people not to interrupt our video 🤬
@@RaitisRides ....and I love your channel. You manage to be informed and technical, plus hilarious and FUN at the same time....among the best on You Tube for automobile content. I'm nearly 70, and you keep this old fart well entertained! Thanks bro.
Well if anyone is playing The Crew 2 currently: The 2005 Saleen S7 Twin-Turbo model, is NOW available now to buy in “The Crew 2” game, in a new bundle with a 2013 McLaren 12C for $1,304,799(game dollars). If anyone’s is interested. 😎 and the Saleen is in metallic Red. The McLaren is in metallic blue(if u wanna know the colors). 😅🌹
@@RaitisRides thanks bro, it's just the car came out of know where and debuted it, the styles are brilliant cause we're running out of stylish aerodynamics etc, A true born American supercar
Saleen’s biggest career mistake was pissing off and shitting on Phil Frank. He is a legend in the Saleen world and the creator of the S7 body design and of the 94-04 cars. Phil is a legend on his own right
Is Saleen still around as a company? They used to be the stuff before the Shelby brand came back on the seen after a long hiatus in 2007 with the gt500
Let’s admit it. We used this car in Midnight Club: Dub Edition.
I use this car in Forza Horizon. Midnight club LA and Project Gotham. Midnight Club LA is what I’m playing now
Dirk Diggler I miss that game
of course i did
Hell yeah & I had the boss 302 mustang
ghetto wee I had the Gallardo and the Murcialago
Easily one of the coolest supercars ever. Remember seeing one at the NY Auto Show when they first came out
I totally agree with you!
I remember this car from the Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition game 😍
THATS EXACTLY WHY I LOVE THIS CAR OMFG
Found you again

The first time I ever saw this car was in 50 cent’s Candy shop video. I’ll take you to the Saleen shop.😂
You are awesome!

OMG I remember this car from the Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition game 😍 too bad the S7 is underrated and not many people know about this car

I never even knew that Johnny! Wow that is nuts. I have been watching Saleens race since I was a kid.
@@RaitisRides Check out Doug Demuros video. Only 10 seconds in he starts with the SAY-LEAN.😣

i always looked for this car in every racing game i have had, definetly a legend in my book
i believe this car well tuned can go against the ford gt for the mile record top speed
Saleen is definitely one of the coolest supercar in history. It's a pity no one knows about it.
A car that truly has its own look. This car and the Ford Gt would be my 2 of my favorite cars ever made
Love the back of this car! Never seen one this close up, what an amazing car!
I always thought these were way better looking than Corvette’s even the new ones!
I had one on a video game way back when 2004 Midnight club dub edition.
What an amazing car! Keep up the great work my friend!
Thanks Brendon for letting me bring it to you!

Oh my God...i love this car. Fell in love the first time it came out. Number 2 on my list after the Countach 🤤👍
Saw one race at road America in Elkhart lake WI. Years ago. It lost a wheel coming over the finish line. On of my all time favorite cars.
Saleen S7 twin turbos 😀👍❤️
Oh yeah! Big power!
Driving both versions in The Crew 2 right now. Amazing car!
I love that car it reminds me of the Mclauren F1 from way back
