  • These practice problems will ask you to find the principal quantum number (n), the angular momentum quantum number (l), the magnetic quantum number (ml), and the electron spin quantum number (ms) for an element. Don't worry we will go over the answers showing each step and I'll also explain what questions professors like to throw on tests that trick most students.

    💁‍♀️ HI I'M MELISSA MARIBEL
I help students pass Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. I used to struggle with this subject, so when I finally graduated with a bachelor's degree in Chemistry, I became a tutor so that you wouldn't have to struggle like I did. I know that with the right help, YOU CAN LEARN ANYTHING!

Sophomore here! I'm trying my best in chemistry because last year I didn't focus much so I scored 89 on my chemistry. 1 percent off A. Ouch. I got all the questions right! Really happy :)

Because there are 7 rows (horizontally) in total of the periodic table and when it comes to do the electronic configuration you always take 2 away from which group you are leading off of (WHEN IT COMES TO 6 AND 7 ROW) EXAMPLE: you go from 6s2 and then go to the F block ( if you look at the PT the atomic numbers go in order) so you take 6-2 equal 4 and since you are in the F block it will be 4f. Same thing with 5f. You go from 7s2 to F block and 7-2 equals 5. So that is why it is 5F. I hope this makes sense lol

Those were way too easy... hard to believe those were exam type questions. I wished my school didn't give difficult questions :(
