AI defending and AI blocks are out of control this year. It might just be me but I feel the game has already changed a lot since early access. Such a shame because I was actually having fun at that point but now its just a constant battle to try and break down a 10 man defence. Keep up the positive energy dude
It's not just you thinking this. Even the AI itself in Squad Battles have changed a lot. the games I've won on ea access were like 14-0 on world-class even against the better teams and now I struggle sometimes to get to 5 goals with a far better team. I don't know why they silently change it all the time if the playerbase is happy at the start
@@4everFaster I'm really glad it wasn't just me. It just feels like they've cranked up the defending to 11, probably because people were complaining about not be able to defend. Another year and another game devoted to the casual player
@@jstel7 any decent company always dedicates their game to the casual player because the majority of their playerbase is casual, you have to bear in mind the community who watch pros and TH-camrs like nick is relatively small
@@jacobash8516 I totally agree with what you're saying and this game makes them hundreds of millions of dollars every year so they have zero reason to change their business model. It's just shame though they can't reach some kind of middle ground. A lot of fighting games have managed to do it but they don't make anywhere near the same kind of revenue

possession beats high press and wing play with crosses and cutbacks beats drop back and cover centre.

Counter attacks are so op this year . I play 7 depth to try to play an attacking game . Most of them get a. Chance score and play 1 depth the whole time. Scumbags .

@@MackyBclips this. I’m playing 5 depth 5 width, trying to second man press sometimes and my other midfields are literally standing static. If you don’t have kante or that type of dm to just sprint around sometimes, it’s a pain.

What do you mean for the first time , 8 out of 10 games in division rivals and fut champs are like this . It is such a same though , this year the game could have been great , the first days I was having a blast and I reached division 2 playing attacking football, then people decided that wining is more important than having fun ...... if only they could remove - not just nerf - those drop back tactics and overload the ball side crap ( which everybody seems to be playing but nobody mentions ) .
football has a defensive side to it......so it must stay in the game guys like tekkz don't complain about it nick just wasn't good enough tbh

Hug the line on attack and manual overload with attacking fullbacks once in the final third . Be patient, theirs more to it but their is a d pad you also have to use guys

He was a PES pro player. There is only one way to defend is to rely on the AI automatic blocks. Even Konami ( EA of PES) gives tips to position your players in good area and they’ll automatically block for you

I dont get why people use 1 depth and park the bus in a football game. That isnt only very boring for the opponent but surely its dull for the user also. This is a game and I think that the main reason to play games is to have fun and winning shouldnt matter nearly as much. But if people use these boring tactics winning must be the most important thing for them. Dont like the direction fifa is heading, so competitive and sweaty. They should remove some of the custom tactics and shit that allows this or maybe have a game mode where you can use these tactics but I feel like it would be good for the game if it was made more casual.

Yeah they need to go back to old days with no custom tactics just team Vs team, I guess the game is too advanced for that now but I'm sick of people sitting in there own 6 yard box then just playing through balls over the top to adama or sane.

It is fun, very fun actually. It’s the most fun when u beat a kid and he gets all angry and messages u calling u a rat and cussing u out. Makes for a great laugh and a lot of fun. I use 4231 1 depth and it works like a charm

I played vs someone like this yesterday. He scored in the 8th minute, dump defending of me tbh. Then for the rest of the game I had the ball, 78% posession, this Guy was just defending with his whole team. I managed to score at the end and won by pens. I think My controller would’ve lost his life is I lost that one 😅

I play Drop Back, 1 Depth but I attack so much and I'm trash at defending so my game always ends at like 5-4 6-4.

4-1-2-1-2 Narrow Drift Wide 10 width is key man. I finished Elite last year mainly with a 4-2-4 but it just does not work well this year.
16-5 lost to 5 drop back player 100% of their shots go on in and you miss everything something up with it
So far i hav played 15 games almost never played drop back teams. Most my matches finish with high scoring games.
