“Pack some patience” is great advice & I wish more people would do just that! Fortunately I didn’t run into any outbursts on flights to & from Iceland (on Delta) a couple of months ago. We were in Main Cabin for that trip but looking forward to AF Business in June-even more so after this video. Thanks for taking us on the ride!

Adore “pack some patience”. I travelled yesterday from Seattle to Doha in QSuite on the way to Athens and checking in 3 hours before takeoff was a great idea. We all need to realize that the privilege of international travel requires staying calm and carrying on.

In the past 6 months, I've traveled from Israel to the US, Netherlands, Finland, Italy, Germany, Mexico, Guatemala, Iceland, France, Greece, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru, Brazil and Panama. My best advice for dealing with travel restrictions is making sure to get to the airport EARLY, the stress goes up quickly as countries add different entrance and exit forms. Check online but be prepared to fill out more as you get to the check in. Enjoy your flights.

Jeb thanks for this. You met my wife working at the AF lounge at IAD, and we both strongly concur with your comment about patient. Remember, folks, things change so quickly that often the gate agents are pivoting. Please be kind in the air.

Its so good that the USA is opening again for europaen travelers in November. I travelled to Greece in September this year and it was my first trip for vacation since 18 months. It has changed a lot. There‘s a lot of paperwork to do before you can enter the Country. It could be done online. Infact I prepared a checklist with things to do before I could go. Just make always sure that you‘re up to date with the current country regulations.

Same. I flew United twice to EU. The documents were checked outside of security at check-in counter -- not at the gate. This reduces the gate congestion as everyone arrives to the airport counter in waves, not all at once. Even if you are carry-on-only docs should be checked at the bag drop counter. Much more efficient. On the European side this was also the process. No issues.

I recently flew with Air France from SFO - CDG, and the boarding process was similar. They had several people at the gate checking everyone's paperwork, and we were only delayed a couple minutes. We also had to fill out the contact sheet for a possible COVID case. I think these precautions are most necessary, and there's no doubt international travel has changed. I don't see it returning to normal anytime soon.

Last time it was Atlanta and a 3 hour wait to get to the screening area then another hour to get through the 2 security people. Most people missed their connecting flights but I would have had a 5 hour layover so I spent all my time in line! My favorite airline meal was on Air France in coach.

Hi, Jeb! Nice to hear from you internationally again! I've taken AirFrance in Business to Paris three times the last several years, my me-to-me Christmas present (topped off by a week of self indulgence at the Four Seasons Paris, George V!). I choose taking the Triple-Seven from JFK, and usually fly the last flight out at 11 pm because it gets you there about 1 pm Paris time and your room is ready for you when you Uber into town from CDG. I believe your module was more cramped aboard the Dreamliner than is the Triple-Seven's because of, of course, the aircraft's narrower body. (I flew the Turkish Dreamliner in Business nonstop to/from Istanbul from Atlanta last Christmas and was wholly underwhelmed by the Covid-intense non-service and brusque -- no, rude -- flight attendants. Another story for another day.) I love the new AF cabins, and my glance at the La Premiere module coming in was pretty lustful. (I flew the old AF First from Atlanta in the mid-90s and it was nice but nothing like the new program.) The food was better but not perfect, the service was attentive, and I fell in love with a flight attendant named Chloe coming home -- one of those "feel your heart beating" moments we Southern boys experience! The AF lounge at JFK is pleasing with a nice restaurant upstairs and plenty of space to relax in that nasty T1 AF uses. There are several AF lounges at CDG and I don't like the one downstairs in the main terminal; too small. The preferred lounge is in the M concourse, I believe. It's very large and nicely equipped. (Used it on an A380 return flight one year.) Altogether, the AirFrance experience is still worthy and I'm glad you got to experience it on a Dreamliner. Departing from Detroit is pretty smart, actually, because on the flights from JFK, one barely has time to do everything before it's time to land -- you don't leave the ground until midnight, they do an abbreviated meal service then you try to sleep a bit before they wake you up over the Channel. Overall, the flight is a tad under six hours. I don't know if I'm willing to put up with the Covidity Complications of it as I'm not a rules and regs kind of man, but it's the new paradigm for now. Bravo for your cheerfulness in tackling it. Thanks for another good report for your flying buddies like me down here in Birmingham. Still hoping you'll one day drop in out of the sky on a westbound of some kind and pick me up! Cheers and all best!

I flew Delta to Paris 9/13, leaving from Greensboro and connecting in Atlanta. No real problems (except sky train not running in ATL), had researched necessary forms. GSO staff not too familiar with international requirements though.

'Pack some patience' ---great advice. I'd also add that one should pack enough of your favorite music, books (on-line) and your plans B, C and D. If you are in Spain and wish to go to Singapore, for example, Singapore Air gives you a chance to choose special VTL(Vaccinated Travel Lanes) flights from Barcelona which allow you to fly into Singapore without going through mandatory quarantine. That is a great relief and provides great savings. Have any tourists flown into Seoul recently ? I believe that Seoul still requires tourists and students to do a one to two week quarantine . It seems costly and on New Year's Day in Seoul (Feb 2022), one TH-camr reported that NO DINNER was delivered to their group. Hmmmm. I certainly hope things improve quickly around the world in regards to travel and flights.

Worst flight: Air France from Rome to Paris 1 bathroom in the whole plane and we all spent most of the flight in line to use it! (No first class, all coach)

Did the other way around. Went from Frankfurt to Calgary a few days ago on Air Canadas 787-9. A Lady refused to wear her mask so we had to go back to the gate where she was removed from the airplane by the german police. Fun times.

I took a trip to Tanzania in July, enjoying the heaven of Qatar Qsuites. I'm amazed you haven't reviewed this product yet! The Al Mourjan lounge is incredible for business class!
I'm going to Canada next month and somewhere in the Caribbean or Central America in January or February.

The year Covid ruined everything, I had planned a trip to Ethiopia using Qatar's Q-Suites. Still hoping that comes to pass.

@@AlmostMonumental27 get vaccinated if you haven't been, schedule the trip, and get a PCR test the afternoon before you go. I had a lot of ideas of where to go on my big trip next year, but it's definitely going to be somewhere Qatar serves!

i haven't travelled internationally for a number of years now - probably not covid-related if I'm honest - but nice to see upgraded IFE, cabin refresh, seats, etc. when i think of the business class AF 330 i was on last. only thing i may have thought was a downgrade was the amenities kit, i recall mine from AF in 2017 as being one of the better ones I've received on my roughly 2 dozen transatlantic flights on different carriers. thanks jeb. good to see new long-haul videos

We traveled to Croatia in June and it was fabulous! Even upgraded to business for the first time ever and we flew on Lufthansa. Leaving for Rome soon and hope to also upgrade. Very interested in the Air France product. Having flown Lufthansa over and United back I have to say the service was much better on the German carrier. Heard wonderful things about Air France, they will be my next one to try.
