In this video I talk about the five mistakes you don't want to make on your first day of snowboarding. I'll give you advice to avoid all of these fist day snowboarding mistakes. Thanks for watching!
Getting hyped from all these tricks, I should really dial in some switch riding before anything haha
I want to learn all of these tricks
🥔
That BS 3 is my goal for the season for sure
@@goodridevibes fact's
@@goodridevibes that is so easy tho
@@kolemckinley7899 I hope so buddy!
In my opinion most of these tricks are not the easiest ones to learn first. And there are quite many prerequisites before you can try for example cab180 or bs180. You need to ride switch well including at least elementary carving skills, do straight airs and basic grabs from both switch stance and normal one, understand the proper entrance curve, etc.
However, I would support you with starting from indy grab and shifty on the jumps and 50-50 on the box.
Good luck to All, just don't break your bones please )
Stoked for this coming season! Thanks for the simple and detailed tutorial!
Getting super pumped for some snow already!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
this is amazing, thank you, I appreciate the high quality of the vid and the many repetitions from different angles! Well done
Definitely tackling this list this season!
Nice!
I would definitely love to see a video of a prerequisite for every trick that you demonstrated to be able to do it outside of the park either at home or on the regular slope to build up the skills technique and confidence to be able to do each of those tricks in the park. I ride goofy and I can't get the mechanics down still to do front side 180, would love to see a build up for that. I will love the video though. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Great video idea! Will get that one out! I do have a few videos on the channel for building skills for tricks.
Impressive. Very nice.
a cab is when you pop from your switch nose, cab 180 or half cab = fakie 180 back
in the video you do switch 180
That escalated quickly
My goal for next season is the bs boardslide to fs 180 out on a kink rail
Great video Kevin! What's the name of the impact shorts that you wear, or any good recommendations? Thanks
winter is coming!!!!!
love it
and do you also have to change the fasteners with each jump?) does the color matter?)))
Hello!
Thank you for being one of the best snowboard youtube channels, I have learnt a lot thanks to you☺️ my biggest issue on the board is that I am scared of falling, especially since I have already hit my tailbone a couple times🥲 do you have any ideas on how to become “better” at falling? I guess that would make you less scared of falling and the impact could be lower if you know what you do in that “ohh fuck” moment when you are still in the air but you know what is about to come🤣 I have been going every year since I was 8, am now 21 and almost never falling. But that is because I don’t dare to try too many new things🤦♀️
wear some impact shorts it should help give you more confidence - or other safety gear like wrist guards
Take a lesson to improve your overall skill and iron out long existing problems and bad habits you probably don’t know you have.
I want to learn a 180 nose grab by the end of the season!
Did you hit up Treble Cone or any other South Island ski fields?
which yes board are you using?
I never really got the hang of boardslides
You got it!
backside shifty is the goat
More time hiking the small jumps for me.
Honestly I have a fear of getting in the air that i want to tackle... might seem basic but Id ike to work on judging speed for jumping and clean straight airs
yo guys, i have a problem: i live in russia and probably most popular and closest mountain to me is sheregesh, but allthough the fame there are barely any features (3 pretty damn big jumps and a small quick jib park after it) and a series of waves where you barely get any air. how can i find or make good jumps, if make then how and how long does it take?
I watched this so I could learn new tricks, but I can already do all of them lol
Do you guys sell stickers, would love to put one on my board!
There's a link in the description for SPC merch!
Yewww
I wouldn’t unless ur tryna get made fun of on the hill
Espeacially if ur riding park
I can't get the idea of jumping up high for 180 correctly. Seems that I do it from ty toes and then can't get enough stability plus mu legs begin to slide..So I can't get into the air...
Had the same problem. This video helped me understanding the pop needed: th-cam.com/video/8M5MJO8Z4zw/w-d-xo.html
cant wait till snow falls 🥲
lets go
5:19 You're using way too much toe edge on this one, which causes the spin to be top heavy as your centre of mass and shoulders are too far over. Would be great to explain that you don't need much edge for spinning 360s, to avoid misalignment during the spin.
My guy here spitting the hard facts
Any grab feels the same
Quick question about a board slide on a box do you lift up on the toes at all or is it just completly flat?
Bombafantastik
Bros riding “goofy footed”
Cab 180 is off the nose... thought you would know this... switch 180 is what you did
I was also confused by this. In skateboarding, a halfcab (what he calls a "cab 180") is a fakie bs 180, so you're riding backwards, and popping off the tail (which is in the front since you're backwards). Presumably, the snowboard equivalent would be a switch nollie (or do you call it fakie?) fs 180.
