your math is wrong, its not 417k, 250,000,000/60 is 4,166,666, they would need to sell 4.16 million (4.17 rounded). It would require likely more than that when you account for packaging, shipping, taxes and other costs.
i am a bit skeptical on the claim that it costed 250 million, i haven't seen a reliable source for that claim, only estimates. the previous Dragon age was 150, and many AAA games are in the 200+ range so its feasible, but its also possible the game costed say 170 million and in that case they would only need to sell 2.83 million. Regardless, even if it only costed 50 million, this game still lost money and its an epic fail, possibly enough to destroy bioware entirely.
Sadly, I do think they'll exist for long enough to release another Mass Effect game since its already in production, but I fully expect it to be yet another shit nugget. To give my speculation. I'm pretty sure they are deleting negative reviews. Because I checked out of curiosity. Later I showed my friend the score. The number of reviews changed by nearly a hundred. what made it more suspicious. If you looked at the dates of the Positive reviews. they all were on the day of release. While the negatives were given a day or so later. On top of it all. If anyone's actually read through the positive reviews. Is it just me or do all of the positive ones read as if they were all submitted by A.I.?
Game is also on EA and consoles, most people buy it on EA since they already got the rest of the collection there. U can also buy the EA subscription and play it. Not defending the game just saying this numbers don't mean it's doing good or doing bad. We don't have access to full sales number

I'm probably the same as most. Played all DragonAge games including Origins on release day. Origins is in my top20 favourites of all time. All it took was watching the promo material and about an hour of Twitch streaming to know for certain I am never going to play this game. Not much to do with the discourse around it. I just knew almost straight away this isn't DragonAge.

RIP BioWare. They made me a gamer when I was a child and made me quit this hobby as an adult. To me, gaming is truly dead now. There's nothing left to look forward to anymore. You can only hope some small indie devs will release a hand full of nice games but that's it. RIP Gaming as we knew it.

To give my speculation. I'm pretty sure they are deleting negative reviews. Because I checked out of curiosity. Later I showed my friend the score. The number of reviews changed by nearly a hundred. what made it more suspicious. If you looked at the dates of the Positive reviews. they all were on the day of release. While the negatives were given a day or so later. On top of it all. If anyone's actually read through the positive reviews. Is it just me or do all of the positive ones read as if they were all submitted by A.I.?

Why would it be special because Chinese players are included? A country with a large population supported a great homegrown game? Should western players not be counted towards eastern made games?

I'm really curious about the total sales. 70k peak player count on steam is pretty indictive for steam but we have no idea how copy sold on Xbox with PlayStation. I figured it would at least hit 1 million but it could be far less

I'm probably the same as most. Played all DragonAge games including Origins on release day. Origins is in my top20 favourites of all time. All it took was watching the promo material and about an hour of Twitch streaming to know for certain I am never going to play this game. Not much to do with the discourse around it. I just knew almost straight away this isn't DragonAge.

@@venomsnack We'll see what happens. One of the ME5 devs came out on twitter saying they will be nothing like Veilguard. Internally I think the company is at odds with itself. Teams are like islands that are part of a large islands state. Given some autonomy but still paying their taxes. Veilguard tanking might actually be a good thing for ME5 and take some autonomy back. Even pirates don't want Veilguard because it has no chests nor booty.

The game doesn't have good combat, good graphics, good story writing, and has alienated a large amount of its audience with its politics.
It's a disaster and doesn't have much to recommend it.
The next mass effect game is the only thing im excited about but the way they are killing every franchise they touch just so the "modern audience" could enjoy it.. just discard the game. leave it, just shut down the whole company. that would be for the best

i just wish they would have stayed with the previous art style, character design and map even. don't appreciate the non binary , trans injected ideology and the victim responses, you cant say something bad to anyone because you get a ticket to HR, like can you even punch the reporter with this new BioWare ?. combat seems fun, at least at the start, and the graphics look very good, don't think i will be playing this any time soon, maybe one day if the price is like 10 bucks, its just unfortunate that they decided to go this route, and i now have no hopes for Mass Effect, hope they can turn it around though.

I was hughly disappointed by DA 2 and inquisition, they are okay games but bad dragon age games, but after ME andromeda and anthem I just despise bioware as a company, the talented people who created masterpieces like DA:origins or Kotor or baldurs gate 1 and 2 are long gone, some of them at larian creating masterpieces again, not just BG3, the divinity games are amazing as well. (2 and original sin anyway xd cant speak for the really old ones)
Hope they get shutdown, same as ubisoft and bethesda, noone needs these parasites.
