Good news is, I think the majority of people are still more interested in personality. We're attracted to the way one carries themselves, their mannerisms, their passions, etc. If someone isn't necessarily attractive physically, but has all the aforementioned traits, I'll probably think they're a 10. That being said, the reverse can also be true. I once dated a model who was one of the most physically stunning people I have ever met, but she turned out to be hideous on the inside which made me find her absolutely vile. She once told me that babies with Down Syndrome were ugly and shouldn't be used as models because they weren't the standard of beauty, she was. I then asked her if she would love her child if they were born with Down Syndrome, to which she replied, "I don't have to answer that. Look at me. I'm gonna have little model babies." Shortest relationship I was ever in. lol

I think it has to do with the fact that when you're hearing yourself speak normally I guess it's more natural and what you're used to, but when coming out of a device the pitch may change or smth like that and your ears take it differently, but I'd also like a vid on it bc my explanation may not be 100% lol
It's because when ur talking the vibrations of your voice are moving from your mouth to your ear but when ur listening to a recorded audio of you the vibrations move from the device to your ear and the recorded audio of your voice is what people around u hear your voice as

Focal length and hyperfocal distances are two different things. Although connected they don’t coincide with each other. Lenses often have chromatic aberration and other distortions. If anyone remembers physics you know how light can refract and reflect through a lens. It’s the same premise here. Phone sensors are small and trying to get a large area of light compensating for various shutter speeds, aperture and iso. It stitches the raw data together to create what we then see on our screens. It doesn’t always work out. It might just very well be that someone is ugly. Phone cameras just make it worse. AI can only do so much.

It all comes down to how the data is perceived and analyzed. What might look light to you, if not exposed correctly distorts the reality of what the camera sees until manually corrected to the closest possible thing you can see. It’s a machine.

Try making yourself just the tiniest bit closer to red on the color scale (and I mean tiny) because mirrors are green and give your skin an (admittedly very light) green hue. The mirror is how ppl see you but ur face is flipped to the other side! Cameras make micro adjustments & tend to lengthen your face, unless ur face is leaning to one side extremely, you look pretty accurate to how ppl see you in the mirror! Hope this helps🫶🏽

True but actually how we see ourselves in the mirror is not EXACTLY how other people see us. People see the flipped version of what we see in the mirror in real life. This might not be much different for the people with perfectly symmetric faces, but for the asymmetric faced peeps like me, I got some bad news for ya. The only way you’re gonna know is by taking a mirror selfie and flipping it horizontally on your phone. You might look better or worse in the picture(ie in real life) depending on your asymmetry. I still feel some people are yet to know this; the earlier you realise this the better.

Sorry to break it to you guys, but the mirror actually ISN’T more accurate. Although this is all true, you also pose and only see/hyper focus on a certain angle and impression of your face when in the mirror (your brain “muffles” the rest); a photo shows how every part of you looks at the same time. This affects your perception of the way you look a huge amount. So basically, how you see OTHER PEOPLE in the mirror standing next to you is more accurate than photos. Neither are accurate for you, but if anything, I’d say a candid photo taken from far away is technically the most.
