2018 M240i with the very same issue (even the tailight response after some spanking lol) . Went to the dealership and they tried to reset the firmware, didn't work. I'm going to try this this weekend. Thanks man!
2018 230i xDrive here same issue on drivers side, gonna try to clean it today
I had the same issue with my M240i 2019 and I did the same, just clean the connectors, that was enough and still working perfectly 👍🏻
What do you clean the connectors with? My 2019 M240i does this several times a week and it's getting very annoying! thanks
@jaymontana2848 I just used a dry paint brush to sweep it out.
I had no idea this was a common thing , i’ve had this happen to me less than once a month on my right turn signal were it would just malfunction right at the beginning of the drive most of the time, never as I’ve been driving for a while but only on initial start up. Definitely going to give this super difficult and invasive repair a shot. You the man as always 😎
Yup, just happened to me on my other side a couple weeks ago. So now I’ve done the same thing, hasn’t come back on either one ever since. Glad I could help!
@@mevans8646hey what did you use to clean out the connectors? Same issue happened on my left side lol
@@PeterDePolo just a clean dry paint brush 🤷♂️
Just had this issue on my '20. Does everything still seem to be working ok? I'm going to pull apart my tail light and clean the connectors soon (once it stops snowing lol), hoping that'll just fix it outright.
Mine still continues to work so I’m assuming it either somehow worked its way loose or some debris got in there
