My easy curl routine: Shower at night. Put damp hair in messy bun. In the morning I “brush” with water with my fingers. Add hairspray. I’ve been doing this for years. #momlife

Love the curls! I did curly girl method for a long time and it was just too time consuming. So I still follow the method somewhat in terms of ingredients, but I do use heat on my hair sometimes. But when I was following the method, I went from about your waves to much much tighter juicy curls.

I went to school to learn about Dermalogica, I love them. Best products on the market in my opinion. I’m right there with you on the curly girl method. I want to be able to switch from using heat and not using heat without destroying my natural curls. Living in Texas though means that frizz is inevitable I guess😕. BTW, Nora is absolutely adorable!!!

Yes for Nespresso! I have had mine for years and swear by it. During christmas was when I learned that you could purchase the Torani syrups! I have a shipment coming of some more sugar free ones since thats what I prefer!

Love that you’re embracing your curls! I was like you and delved full fledge into the curly girl TH-cam videos and into the land of the curly girl method. I started this in February this year and have been going strong with the curly hair ever since (with the exception of one heat styling in March when I seen my hair dresser) I would say that my curls/waves started out more along the lines of a 2B but now that I have been doing this for almost 3 months, I have so much more curl! Closer to a 3A curl pattern now! I always have had just enough wave/frizz that I either had to curl or straighten in order to make my hair look good, Lol. I do not follow the CGM to a “T” but I have adopted several of its rules and my hair is in awesome shape because of it! I will say this...you have to be patient, you’ll have more bad hair days than good hair days at first but you gotta stick with it, it will improve. The diffuser will really help bring your curls out more ☺️ Diffusing on cool/low heat takes forever but is worth it and if you preserve your curls correctly it’ll carry you for several days ☺️ I’m fighting the urge not to heat style some days but hopefully it’ll all be worth it in time. It looks like we have a similar hair type. I’ve used lots of gels and products but my new fave is a brand called “Cake Beauty” it’s drugstore pricing (Ulta and Walgreens carry it to name a few) their Cake “curl friend” is awesome and their Cake “curl whip” mousse is awesome as well! Smells great and defines my curls without weighing them down! Sorry I’m sure you’re inundated with curl info from everyone now but I thought I’d pass along. Anyway, as always love your vlogs and little fam! Nor Nor is the cutest! ☺️❤️
Hey Blair small tip, we have a nespresso machine and frother as well. I had such a hard time getting the foam all out! I hate leaving any in there as it seems wasteful. I bought a mini spatula on amazon, it’s very tiny but works perfect in the aeroccino. No froth left behind 😊

Hi Blair, What i do which is simple and may not be what you want but, i fishtail braid my hair after the shower when it is still wet. Then take it out when it drys. You can put your product in it before you braid it. It works well and gives me beach waves. I also have very straight hair. Hope this helps.

Fun video! Fellow wavy here. I find that creams are too heavy for my hair, so I use mousse. In the winter I can use gels and creams to lock in moisture, but in the summer in Michigan, I need lightweight mousse. The key is to lock in moisture. I clarify my hair weekly and follow it up with a moisturizing hair masque (deep conditioning treatment). I follow the Curly Girl Method and find that ingredients matter to my hair. My hair hates silicones (found in many conditioners and products), but is okay with sulfates (in many shampoos) as long as I deep condition afterward. It's all about finding what your hair likes. Since you use heat on your hair, you may need silicones to product your hair from heat damage (likely found in heat protectant). I recommend checking out Manes By Mel here on TH-cam for all the science hair stuff; she doesn't follow the CG method. Then look up wavy hair TH-camrs like Curly Susie, India Batson, Curly Susie, and Swavy Curly Courtney for wavy specific advice. It's all a process and it takes time! Sending 💞 to you and your family!

Such a cute coffee station set-up. I'm trying to replicate the cafe experience at home.. ordering in Cinnamon buns locally and I've found some nice mellow cafe jazz-type music on Spotify! :) We have an espresso machine and a coffee subscription at home (our machine is the best thing we spent our money on last year!)

I’ve been trying to get my curls semi nice looking, between having greasy roots, dry ends, and having much curlier hair on the bottom of my wavy/straight top layer - it’s hard! I have no clue if I’m doing it right but I’m mostly using lots of oil and leave-in conditioner under a gel on wash day and avoiding brushing my hair, but by day 3 it’s necessary to brush out lol
Omg I LOVE the Nespresso and syrup set up! (also: I want it all too! :p Thank goodness, it's my birthday next month, I know what I'll be asking for haha :p) Do you use special recipes for your coffees or do you just 'wing it' and try what you think would be nice?
Yes, wavy/curly/frizzy hair that doesn't know what it wants here too! Tried almost everything but usually I blowdry it and then use straighteners but since the lockdown, I've been trying to wash it less and to not use heat on it... it's still a wavy/curly and especially frizzy mess but whatever :p

Overall, did you like the Pacifica curly hair cream? I'd like to find a product like that for my hair. Mine has a natural wave at the bottom but is otherwise straight. I'd used a product years before that made my hair curly, but if I pulled my hair back, the curl came out afterwards when I'd take it down. I love seeing Nora! She's a beautiful, happy, smiley little sweetheart. 💖🤗

Your hair looks so great! I didn't know that touching it caused more frizz--I have super thick, wavy hair and it gets pretty frizzy when it dries. Still looking for a good solution for sleeping on it in its natural texture. Have you found anything that works well? I just cut it to mid-length in anticipation of a hot, humid summer. :/
