Adam Driver deserves an award. The scene where he is holding Rey. The look in his face was a boy afraid of dying then doing what must be done. The kiss, the smile, all emotions we never saw because of the dark side.
Ben actually did it, he said he would finish what his grandfather started, which Anakins goal was to one day find a way to stop people from dying and Ben actually did it
My God, you're right! I never noticed this. So many similarities between Ben and Anakin. I still have hope they will bring him back with the whole concept of the world between worlds. I mean why would they put that in the TROS visual dictionary? Somehow he’s stuck between the two worlds. Leia disappeared after Ben did giving him her last life force and now he’s stuck there. Makes sense?
Happy Peach If they bring back him from the world between worlds, then Rey would have died on Exegol that fateful night. The Resistance victory would remain, anyway. Most likely, they included the mention as an easter egg.
K1NG Whoever said I was a Reylo? And besides I only wish to bring Ben back because he was the only character I liked out of the entire sequel trilogy. I just felt that they wasted his character.
Adam Driver portrayed more emotion in this 3 minute scene with Daisy than anyone in the prequel movies combined. Casting him as Han and Leia's son is the best thing LucasFilm has done since the original trilogy. I love the way he tenderly shakes with tears and happiness as she calls out his name.
JM Studios Literally the #1 reason I hate the Reylo fandom. They ignore the fact that he’s literally murdered people, his own father, nearly his own uncle, and even Rey on multiple occasions. But all because he’s an emo boy toy, they ship him with the main character and expect him to have a happy ending. And the icing on the cake was the aftermath of his death, many lost their minds and acted like it was the end of the world. And some even harassed Adam Drivers wife cause she’s not Daisy Ridley. Smh...
Having him die is the absolute worst decision you could’ve ever done for his character, Ben Solo is hope and hope is gone now, the Skywalker family is extinct.

If that isn’t abuse, I don’t know what it is.
Wow, I love how his whole demeanour changes. As Kylo he looks cold, hardened and self assured but as Ben he has sad, sensitive eyes and seems younger. Great acting 👍🏼❤️
It would have been way better to switch the roles and have her save him and him kill palpatine, then have him bury the lightsabers and see anakin, luke, leia, Rey, and the rest of the Jedi standing behind them.
3:33 RIP the entire Skywalker family: Shmi, Padme, the Lars family, the Organa family, Anakin, Han, Luke, Leia, and Ben. May they be remembered and honored by others in the Star Wars universe.
The real story about this movie is Ben Solo. He is the last skywalker bloodline who hasnt finished his Jedi training but being ruined to dark side and become Kylo Ren, Palpatine apprentice.. The question is why Disney had to Kill OFF this character, i mean He DIED?? such a precious character ever.
Because he was basically Hitler. Same as Vader, killing a bad guy and being nice to 1 person for 5 minutes, does not negate the fact you are Hitler. They were both much worse than Hitler to be honest.
I think that is something so present in literature (Shakespeare) as well as movies: sacrificing for the one you love the most is the only way to be redemed and to keep that sentiment for ever and ever.
So in the end she did take his hand. After watching it on DVD yesterday her vice like grip of his hand brought me to tears. And his hold on her, his attempt to get her a little more closer while she kisses him. And well, that damn dimpled smile.. Sigh...
The way that both the Kylo Ren and Rey theme's deteriorate and then come back together when Rey comes back. John Williams is a master and helped elevate this scene. Ben is able to close out the Skywalker bloodline by doing what his grandfather couldn't. Saving the woman he loved.
The more I watch it, the more I realize how terrible the decision was to kill Ben. As a love story, it's beautiful that he uses every drop of energy to save her (proving he would rather die than live without her), but then you remember they're a force dyad, and realize the plot fails if one of them dies. JJ used Ben for 5 minutes of screen-time to save Rey and then gets rid of him Anakin-style so that Rey can be alone in the end to say "Skywalker" for some quick closure. It's infuriating.
There's a strong possibility he's in the World Between Worlds, and Rey can go get him. On the other hand, we've seen Luke and Yoda become extremely powerful Force Ghosts, and there's a possibility that Ben could hang out with Rey as an uberpowerful Ghost. If he can rematerialize that's even better.
@@shadowthehedgehog1015 FFS do you think we don't know that? This argument is so fucking old that you're beating a dead horse. I grew up with the OT and I miss Han as much as the next fan (R.I.P. you glorious scoundrel), and I'm so tired of his sacrifice being belittled. Han knew he could die if he went to his son and try to rescue him, and did it anyway. Luke knew that using astral projection to stop his nephew from finishing the Resistance would kill him, and did it anyway. Leia let herself die letting Ben know that she loved and forgave him to prevent him from hurting Rey, his soulmate. These heros that we all grew up with died for Ben because they loved him and saw Ben for what he really was: A victim of long term manipulation and mental abuse. If you're going to point your finger at someone in this whole mess then point it at Palpatine, because that evil fucker was behind all of the torment that the entire Skywalker family went through. Han, Leia, and Luke made the ultimate sacrifices so that Ben could live and atone for what he'd done, and have a life with Rey, the woman he loved, and TROS deliberately fumble fucked it at the finish line to make haters like you happy. Palpatine succeeded in dragging the Skywalker family into the grave, to make you happy. The deaths of our heros were for nothing, to make you happy. The entire Saga, which should have ended with on a positive, hopeful beat, has been ruined, to make you happy. I hope you assholes are proud of yourselves, because you're constant whining and bitching has killed off the Skywalkers.

A voice came to her through the Force, clear and strong 'I will always be with you', Ben said. She smiled. Let the truth of it wash over her. 'No one's ever really gone', she whispered" [TROS Novelization]
I'm really not understanding how Disney can say this kiss wasn't romantic. Just from the way he smiles at her when she comes back and the way she caresses his face I can tell it's romantic. Even MARK HAMILL has said there's romantic tension between the two characters. Either way, the chemistry between Daisy and Adam on screen is incredible. Absolutely amazing actors.

It’s hard to believe this is the same guy from TFA. So much growth, yet such a consistent character. These movies had a lot of flaws, but sometimes- damn they did a good job. ❤️
Can we just acknowledge how amazing Daisy is in this scene? Like it could have fooled me that that was a dead body and not an alive actor Adam/Ben was holding.
I’m lost for words. Adam Driver, you did not have a single dialogue in the last thirty minutes or so and your delivery in every scene is just astonishing. You can notice the emotions at 2:36. My favourite part. The fear in his eyes, he’s relieved yet frightened. What an excellent portrayal of Ben Solo. 👏🏼
He proposed her when they were first time touching hands. They were greatest enemies but deep inside they wanted each other to live a life toghether. They need to kill each other but never been able to, even to touch each other. Their story is such an ironic, bounded by hate of their fate but the love strengthen their faith. And the fact that they were in love but have to hide it well enough so people would not assume any betrayal is so heroic.
Imagine the potential of Disney continuing Bens story through a redemption arc in a new trilogy. Kind of like how prince Zuko went through in Avatar the last airbender. All that thrown out the window thanks his premature death.
Adam Driver deserves an award, who's with me?!?!? This scene made me happy cry!!!!! Even though, he was afraid of dying he knew what must be done!!!! He finished what Anakin never accomplished was saving someone he loved!!!!! I was crying when he died, but he's with his family in the force!!!
When they kissed and he smiled at her, my BSF and I were jumping up and down in our seats kicking and squealing. Then when he fell and died, we said NOOOOOOOO and started crying like immature 5 year olds 😭
The first time they meet, he knocks her out. The last time they see each other, he gives her life. Am I the only one who kinda gets a little sappy over that?
I have to admit but this was the first ever star wars movie i seen, but i did know some basic knowledge about the trilogy, anyways in the theater when i saw ben hug rey thinking about what he was going to do i knew that he had feelings for her and that he cared about her. Seeing them smiling at eachother showed that they did care for each other and probably even loved each other. Some people say that kiss was out of nowhere and i went back to see the other sequal movies and the last jedi definately showed some tension there. Esspecially when she closes the falcons door on ben they both look truly heartbroken. I feel like ben knew they were a dyad, but rey over saw it, but in that moment when she says "ben" and smiles at him then kisses him shows him that she knows that they are a dyad two that are one which honestly sounds like a wedding vow. Also in the novel when they kiss it mentions that it was acknowledgement of their connection. I really do hope we can see ben in the future maybe as a force ghost, but his story is the most interesting to me they really did make him a relatable character in the trilogy showing that we do fall but it is never too late to get back up.
*...and so it was, The Last Skywalker welcomed his fate gladly, although he knew the galaxy would remember him for all the horror he inflicted, he knew she would remember him only as he is now, he had given her back to the galaxy, it wasn’t enough but it was what he could do.*
Adam Driver deserves an award. The scene where he is holding Rey. The look in his face was a boy afraid of dying then doing what must be done. The kiss, the smile, all emotions we never saw because of the dark side.

When he’s dragging himself with what’s probably a broken leg over to her I literally balled my eyes out
Same. Think about his grandfather. He was dying after he sacrificed himself to save Luke
I cried so much when she takes his hand, the one he always tried to give her...
Anakin: “I’ll find a way to stop people from dying!”
Ben: I will finish what you started
Ben: *Brings Rey Back*
I still have hope they will bring him back with the whole concept of the world between worlds. I mean why would they put that in the TROS visual dictionary? Somehow he’s stuck between the two worlds. Leia disappeared after Ben did giving him her last life force and now he’s stuck there. Makes sense?
What is that thing? You mean Ben is not dead?
Happy Peach If they bring back him from the world between worlds, then Rey would have died on Exegol that fateful night. The Resistance victory would remain, anyway. Most likely, they included the mention as an easter egg.
Shut up, shut up. Please shut up about your "bring back ben" theories and petitions. The Star Wars community got even more toxic because of you reylos
K1NG Whoever said I was a Reylo? And besides I only wish to bring Ben back because he was the only character I liked out of the entire sequel trilogy. I just felt that they wasted his character.
Happy Peach His sacrifice wasn’t in vain. Whereas Anakin failed to save the woman he loved, Ben did it :)
I always pretend the movie ended where they kissed and smiled to each other.
Why Disney? Why
kill Ben Solo, the last Skywalker? 'Hopeful', my ass.
Because he's a fucking murderer. You people are delusional.
That's like giving Hitler a second chance.
Smh...
@@lucidslendy9395 They're making the fandom more toxic than it already is.
@@Stretchdiazz Says the people who can't respect other people's opinions who's the real toxic people now?
Having him die is the absolute worst decision you could’ve ever done for his character, Ben Solo is hope and hope is gone now, the Skywalker family is extinct.

Aodhán O’Corcora yeh totally 😭
Each time i rewatch this scene, i see more in Adam's performance. Nuanced and gentle and heartbreaking. Loved it.
Han, Luke, and Leia died so their son would have 30 seconds of happiness before dying and letting their generational abuser win.
Abuser?
godzillavkk Palpatine. He manipulated Anakin, Luke, and Ben into a world of hurt. Ben was manipulated by him from the time he was in the womb, hearing Snoke’s voice, telling him his family doesn’t love him, thinks he’s a monster, and turned his fears against him and his family. If that isn’t abuse, I don’t know what it is.
@@EmilyRedeker Oh. I thought you meant Rey.
Wow, I love how his whole demeanour changes. As Kylo he looks cold, hardened and self assured but as Ben he has sad, sensitive eyes and seems younger. Great acting 👍🏼❤️
The score for this scene is SO.DAMN.SWOLE.
It would have been way better to switch the roles and have her save him and him kill palpatine, then have him bury the lightsabers and see anakin, luke, leia, Rey, and the rest of the Jedi standing behind them.
Or Rey kills Palpatine but with pure Anger, he posses her body and then Ben kills Rey but Palpatine lives on in a form of sith spirit.
But Rey was supposed to be the protagonist of this trilogy, so not a chance. (But a shame)
3:33 RIP the entire Skywalker family: Shmi, Padme, the Lars family, the Organa family, Anakin, Han, Luke, Leia, and Ben. May they be remembered and honored by others in the Star Wars universe.
adam is hands down my favorite actor. i have no words to describe the emotions his acting makes me feel. also : ben is alive guys. hope never dies
2:10 god I love the way both their theme songs swell up and join together when she comes back
I’m going to die if I keep watching this video. I didn’t want to die. 😭😭😭
Dude you were already dead
Kylo ren is dead, my son is alive. Until you die 30 minutes later. But for now ben is alive
Kylo Ren I’m the one you dream about
Hello there *Grandson*
Hey guys i put back my mask one! As I SAID BEN IS DEAD! HE WAS WEEK AND FOOLISH LIKE HIS FARTHER WAS
3:06 that smile tho......*heart breaking inside*
Sigh...
Say what you want about Reylo but this is the happiest they both look in the whole trilogy
They forgot to give us an instruction manual on what to do with our u resolved emotional instability
The way that both the Kylo Ren and Rey theme's deteriorate and then come back together when Rey comes back.
John Williams is a master and helped elevate this scene.
Ben is able to close out the Skywalker bloodline by doing what his grandfather couldn't. Saving the woman he loved.
Preach🙏
The man never smiled once throughout all the movies and his final moment alive he finally did...got me fucked up
The more I watch it, the more I realize how terrible the decision was to kill Ben.
But he killed trillions of people. His father being one of them.
Mollie Thomas Rey was pretty much to only person that cared about Kylo at that point though. Everyone else would see him as an evil person. And he gets to see his parents again too.
@@shadowthehedgehog1015 so a victim of manipulation who screwed his life up, deserves to die? I'd rather watch how he had to redeem himself in the eyes of the people, rather than just conveniently die off
I sobbed so hard during this scene that the people sitting next to me kept giving me napkins to wipe my eyes with
what makes me cry about this scene is the fact that Adams face is completely void of emotion but his eyes are so full of pain

reys corpse was there for like 5 minutes but kylo’s disappears after a few seconds lmfao
Only like 7 people have ever disappeared when they died
Normally you have to learn how to become a force ghost. rey couldnt. perhaps ben became one because of his sacrifice or because he is a skywalker
not everyone can become a force ghost. This is true in both legends AND canon
She didn’t release her corpse yet, Ben released too early.
She was gonna stay there the whole time, she doesn't know how to become a force ghost
A voice came to her through the Force, clear and strong 'I will always be with you', Ben said. She smiled. Let the truth of it wash over her. 'No one's ever really gone', she whispered" [TROS Novelization]
The way Ben says, “Dad.” Kills me every time.
Rarely have I ever seen the music synchronized so perfectly with the scene.
When Rey dies and Ben lives.
Me: Oh so that’s why it’s called Rise of Skywalker and wow epic plot twist, the protagonist dies.
When Ben revives Rey and Rey calls herself “Skywalker”.

Can we just acknowledge how amazing Daisy is in this scene? Like it could have fooled me that that was a dead body and not an alive actor Adam/Ben was holding.
his gorgeous eyes when he holds her just kill me...
I didn't realize Ben was capable of smiling.
Well said 👍.
Imagine the potential of Disney continuing Bens story through a redemption arc in a new trilogy. Kind of like how prince Zuko went through in Avatar the last airbender. All that thrown out the window thanks his premature death.
“He could save others from death, but not himself” - Sheev Palpatine, 19 BBY.
He really looks like his grandfather when he smiles
Adam Driver deserves an award, who's with me?!?!? This scene made me happy cry!!!!! Even though, he was afraid of dying he knew what must be done!!!! He finished what Anakin never accomplished was saving someone he loved!!!!! I was crying when he died, but he's with his family in the force!!!
1:07 Ben is like "Why God, why?"
"Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself."

The ben and rey scenes were the only ones I liked. They are such a beautiful power couple.
He literally did what no one could do! Holy Fuckballs! Even Rey is astounded if you really pay attention!
YES!!!😄 I liked this scene when he saves her ,,,and of course the kissing💋 scene too 👍👍👍👍👍
I have to admit but this was the first ever star wars movie i seen, but i did know some basic knowledge about the trilogy, anyways in the theater when i saw ben hug rey thinking about what he was going to do i knew that he had feelings for her and that he cared about her.
Don’t think there will ever be a day where I watch this scene and not cry my absolute heart out 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️
Rest in Peace Capt. Turtleneck, you will be missed
