      It’s shown that the girl still talks to him the hallways when she’s not busy with her friend circle. So she didn’t ice him out. I got the impression that she’s been busy with her cheerleading commitments and social obligations and that’s left her to drift apart since Virgil knows he’s unwelcome by the rest of her clique, and because Virgil is too shy to be proactive about stopping their drifting apart

They all think they look good in quirky white outfits, they start to remember alternate timelines as 'deja-vu'. They stole a bunch of information, they undo mistakes. I watched it out of curiosity, and it had a similar plot to some early disney original romcoms, but they were so caked with newer slang that it felt out of place for a disney channel movie, but more than anything it seems like they are trying really hard to keep up with an online demographic.

    I definitely agree generally with your tier classification of Disney stars and how their odds of later success include weighing the cost of recognizability to revenue. I feel like if the Disney stars could sing (and Disney keeps track of/encourages their “triple threats” who can act/sing/and potentially dance) then Disney has the opportunity to exploit/profit off of an additional musical career + persona, so they’ll invest significant time and coverage into promoting them as a celebrity elevated beyond just Disney (the golden age era w Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, the Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato, etc.), which, if they make it, gives them the leverage to transition out of their Disney image. They don’t really have this same format anymore, but I think Dove Cameron and Sabrina Carpenter, aside from being talented, are good examples of post-golden age celebrities who carved out a separate Disney identity through Disney promotion and music designed to get them out of the niche.

    "Would you want to relive your senior year of high school?"
    My senior year was the 2019-2020 year, soooo...
    I guess I would know that I didn't have to study as hard because everyone got a free pass that year. I would also try my best to get everyone's contact (I was really bad at getting people's contacts and had absolutely no way to reach out to most of my friends unless their instagram usernames were their actual names). I would invest hugely in the month of April or May (although I only had like $2,000 at that time, so maybe I should try really hard to convince my parents to invest). And lastly, I would say something else when the school newspaper interviewed me about Covid in early March and I claimed that "it wouldn't be a big deal".
    For fun, I would also make a bunch of theory videos for popular franchises knowing full well exactly what happens and gain millions of subscribers for my accurate theories only to lose them all once I catch up to the present day and fail to predict anything.

    About the ending, I feel like DC is going to pivot even further into this animation-centric direction now that the writers strike is happening, which means they can't really make new sitcoms or original movies unless they resort to AI. But kids cartoon writers can't strike since they're under the Animation Guild instead of the Writers' Guild.

    -Jason Dolley is obvious, though I will say "Good Luck Charlie" is the thing I know him most from
    -Chelsea Staub gets me so hype because she's Stella Malone and Joe Jonas screaming "I LOVE STELLA MALONE" in a fake airport in Jonas L.A. is a core memory
    -Luke Benward, the hot guy from "Girl vs Monster"
    and finally
    -Nicholas Braun, who I did not know was in this movie at ALL because the only place I know him from is "Princess Protection Program" because he has a crush on Selena Gomez and is the token "camera guy" friend

    I just wanna say that I appreciate you adding production value with things like that split-screen effect. It’s a common editing trick, in a way, but it’s still quite a bit more work than a basic shot, and especially in natural light with shadows it could _easily_ get messed up. And what sold it here was the fact that you panned the camera right after, kinda surprised me even. Added more flair and creativity to the project, definitely. And that’s not even mentioning the fact that you meticulously visit all these locations like a freaking autistic champ (I mean that in the best way possible, I’m autistic, and I always appreciate people’s genuine interest in obscure topics). I like the way you incorporated some of the short outside shots, with the music and all. Your videos are definitely improving, it’s so awesome to see people grow their craft and their reach. And I know how much it can mean to know that the small details don’t go unnoticed. I’ve never seen this movie and I didn’t grow up with Disney Channel cause I’m not American, but you make it interesting and give me that sweet second-hand nostalgia. Cheers dude!

    • @salt3685
      @salt3685 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@TheTrueMorse64 I think it’s more about the Disney stars that they actively promoted a ton vs the ones they didn’t. For example, I had no idea Jenna was even on Disney until I looked up her IMBD, and have no idea what that show is. He’s just saying that the actors they didn’t really promote and only appeared in one or two things managed to become super successful while the ones who appeared in a ton of Disney projects and weren’t actively promoted had trouble finding work afterwards because they were too recognizable, but didn’t have the same influence. In other words, I don’t think he’s trying to be disrespectful to Jenna here.
